Prompt #48

CW: suggestive

“Hmmm…you look good today.” The villain purred, their eyes scanning the hero up and down.

“Wish I could say the same.” The hero started, their feet shifting from one to another, as they came forward. The villain’s eyebrows perked up, their head tilting.

"I look more than good. You just don't have a taste." The villain went on, scowling. They swirled in their chair that was placed behind the big desk. The hero chuckled.

"Oh, and you do?" The hero remarked, stopping in front of the desk, and leaning on it.

"Of course, I do. I have better taste than you." The villain faced the hero, smirking.

"Perhaps that's why you like me." The hero responded, bending themself to the villain's level. The villain inclined too, challengingly so.

"Just because I complimented you doesn't mean I like you." The villain babbled, lazily. They stared at the hero, taking in the sight of them. The hero stared back. The villain glanced away, not being able to stand the way the hero's eyes were peering into his.

"Oh, but your face says otherwise, darling." The hero whispered, and the villain forced themself to ignore just how close they were. An inch of proximity separated them. They wouldn't admit it, but they thought the hero was very hot. Their face burned with embarrassment, a blush making its way on to his cheeks.

The villain's heart raced, as the hero went on, "Did you think I haven't noticed how you've been avoiding me the past few weeks? The way your body reacts every time we touch during our fights?"

"I-..." The villain started, slowly. They gulped, their throat feeling scratchy all of a sudden. But they couldn't continue, because the hero shuffled and came around their desk, leaning from behind.

"This is your one last chance to say what you think about me before I kill you." The hero murmured in their ears.

small flaws to give to characters

These aren’t anything super game breaking that turns the character into a psychopath, but they can foreshadow bigger, more important issues down the line.

—always making the conversation about themselves

—lying about something incredibly stupid but they refuse to back down from

—expecting others to pay for them at every store, restaurant or hotel

—subtle jabs at other people that they always respond with ‘I wasn’t SAYING it was bad! YOU’RE the one making ME look bad!’ (Watch one of those ‘alpha male vs modern feminist’ videos or clips for inspiration if you are brave enough)

—messy, except this time they have other people in their space (like a dorm, shared apartment, or any kind of shared living space) so their messiness makes everyone VERY upset

—refusing to understand or learn another friend/teammate/partners culture or background to even slightly understand then

—loud obnoxious voiced people who physically can NOT make a subtle entrance or just simply exist in a room without yelling or eating very loudly

—asks for permission to do absolutely anything even with people who are on the same or even a lower level than they are

—doesn’t listen to music with headphones on in a crowded space so EVERYONE has to listen to them

God I hope the last one isn’t just a me-thing because I actively want to strangle anyone who does that

Prompt #60

(Drunk hero👀)

“So…then, I told the superhero that I can’t not go. Because…” The hero slurred, trailing off as their eyes felt drowsy. Their hand was slowly falling down from the villain’s couch they were splayed out on, their legs dangling on the edge.

The villain hummed, nodding their head as if they were listening intently as they filled up an injection with a yellow looking drug. The hero groaned. “Because what?” They prompted, as they knelt down beside the hero, the cotton swab in their right hand, softly rubbing the skin on the hero’s arm. The hero’s eyes lazily drifted to the villain’s, the gentle smile the villain offered in the moment was cruel considering what they were doing. But, the hero smiled back, they could barely make out the villain’s face, let alone the syringe in their hands.

“Because…you were going to be there.” The hero finished, their eyes closed. A knowing tone and the widening smile gave away what they were feeling. The villain’s movement on the hero’s arm halted. Their eyes turned to the hero’s face, but the hero was already in deep slumber.

The villain contemplated on what to do. They couldn’t move after what the hero said. How could they just say that?! Surely, it was only because the hero was drunk. They didn’t feel that way about the villain right? The villain’s heartbeat increased, and they took a deep breath to calm themself. They lowered the syringe and put it away on the table placed by their side.

They stood up, and grabbed a blanket to cover the hero. They couldn’t do this, not today. Little did they know, that when they are slept away in their room in the morning, the hero wakes up and sees the syringe. Full. A small cotton ball thrown to the side.

Confusion, but most of all, a kind of fury settles in at the thought that they could ever have trusted the villain. They grab their weapon and walk to the closed room, in which inside the villain is tucked away, unbeknownst to the hero's growing rage.

Prompt #7

The prince gulped, as he bent on his knees in front of the villain. "What do you want?" He whispered, tears pricking out of his eyes. His family lies dead around him.

The villain smirked, "You. I want you." The prince looked up, with his lifeless eyes.

"No. Never. Just kill me, I'd rather die." The prince breathed, his voice hoarse. His throat was sore. He ached with pain.

The villain's smirk faded. He raised one of his eyebrows. "Perhaps-", He began but stopped mid-sentence, frowning at the prince.

The prince swiftly stood up, glancing around like he was trying to find something. As a matter of fact, he was. His eyes landed on his father. His father lay silent, a sword thrust through his stomach.

He walked to the body, took out the sword, and without a second thought, stabbed it in his abdomen. The villain gaped.

Blood oozed out of the prince's figure, as he collapsed onto the ground, joining his family.

Snippet #1

“Oops, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to spill your coffee Mist-…” the hero trailed off, his eyes locking with a familiar face. There stood the villain, frozen in place. “What are you doing here?” The hero asked, bringing back his voice that was abruptly cut off midway.

“I could ask the same. This is my area, so what are you doing here?” The villain threw back. The barista behind the counter looked between them. The hero sensed it, and was glad that the villain wore a mask all the time so no one would be able to recognize him.

The hero quickly apologized to the barista, ignoring the villain’s eyes on him. He picked up some tissues and cleaning the floor. The drink had only spilled a little, so it didn’t take long to wipe it. He then grabbed the villain by his arm, and took him outside the cafe. The villain followed him with both of his eyebrows shot up.

“Since when was this your area? And, anyway it doesn’t matter. You shouldn’t be roaming around in a place like a cafe, you can get caught. You don’t want that, do you?” The hero questioned, looking around. His lips pressed together in a firm line.

“Now, why would you care if I get caught, hmm?” The villain shot back, suddenly appearing smug. He carefully pushed the hero backwards to the wall. “Unless, of course, you fear that you’ll miss me if they take me away.” He murmured, inching his face slowly near the hero’s.

The hero gave a grin, “Exactly, I’d miss you too much if they take you away from me. I would miss your face, your lips, your…” His eyes tracked down, making the villain widen his eyes and face, flush.

Prompt #65

“You can’t be serious right? You want to fight me just because I took down your favorite bakery shop?!” The villain exclaimed in disbelief, their jaw wide open.

The hero didn’t falter, frowning with their eyebrows and lips. “It had the best banana bread! You can’t just do that and not expect me to come find your ass!” The hero said, defensively.

The villain couldn’t help but find it cute, as they let out a laugh. “How about I promise to buy you the best bakery shop in the world?”

The hero took a step forward. “It doesn’t matter. I want the one that you destroyed.”

“I didn’t know.” The villain sighed, feeling like a helpless parent that had thrown an old toy of their child away, and now the child wanted it back.

The hero jabbed their finger to the villain’s chest, squinting their eyes. “You pay the owner to build it back, and I won’t fight you.” They demanded, staring daggers into the villain’s eyes.

“Fine.” The villain mumbled, after thinking for a second.

“Fine?” The hero questioned, not being able to believe the villain’s words.

The villain nodded. “Yes, fine.”

“You promise?” The hero asked, smiling slightly, as their hand smoothed over the villain’s chest.

“Yes, I promise, hero.” The villain smiled reluctantly as well.

And they indeed did help the owner rebuild the shop, an even bigger one just to see that gleaming smile on the hero’s face when they suggested it.

Oh, and they also had many dates in the shop.

Prompt #80

By @writingpromptsworld

Although the hero would argue that they weren’t stuck in a closet with the villain because of themself, another voice told otherwise. They had gotten both of them in this situation and now had no clue how to escape it.

The villain was awfully quiet after they both got shoved into the cramped place, their expression serious. The hero frowned to themself. They hadn't ever seen the villain like that, and when they looked closely, they could see the anxiousness written all over the villain's face.

"Uh...are you okay?" They asked tentatively, cautious as they took a step forward. The villain's face was slightly illuminated by the bulb that stood over their heads, the light dim.

The villain cleared their throat and neutralized their guise, nodding. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" They ask, scoffing, and then looking away. "Get us out of here already, you dingus."

The hero didn't believe them. They could tell when the villain was lying, they had been fighting for years, for god's sake. And right now, they were confident the villain was hiding something. They tilted their head. "Why don't you get us out of here? I'm sure you've been crammed in places like these in your missions, no?" They question instead.

The villain just scowled in response. "No, my plans are so eloquent that I don't need to hide in these hideous closets." They said, shifting uncomfortably. And the hero was quiet for a moment before realization dawned on them. The villain was claustrophobic and was trying to play it cool.

The hero observed them for a second and then spoke up. "We'll be fine." They said gently, trying to see how the villain would react. The villain looked at them, well, more like glared.

"Fuck, just get us out of here already." They mumbled, turning away.

The hero nodded. "I will," They said, understanding the villain were silently seeking help despite being their usually grumpy self. "Can you breathe for me?" They asked a while later.

The villain, still turned away, took a deep breath in reluctantly and then let it out a second later. They repeated it a few more times and then cursed under their breath. "Thanks." They grumbled.

The hero smiled to themself. "You're welcome, Villain."

Later, the hero decided that breaking down the door was the only way to get out of the closet they were in. Oh, and they scored a date.

Prompt #50

"I told you not to listen to him, look where he's gotten us now, you-," The villain kept babbling on, and on. It was getting on the hero's nerves. The villain hadn't stopped talking since they were locked in this closet, and he was on the verge of snapping, and so he did.

"Shut up!" The hero half-yelled, and the villain narrowed his eyes. The hero harshly pushed him against the wall behind him. "Just shut up for once, will you?" The villain raised his hands above his head, and the hero let go.

"You didn't have to do that, you know? You could have asked me nicely." The villain muttered, a blush appearing on his cheeks, and he was glad for the darkness of the place. Glad that the hero couldn't see it.

"Sorry, I lost control." The hero said, embarrassingly. They went quiet for a moment, awkwardly standing a few feet away from each other. And then the villain spoke up, again.

"Or you could have, made me." The villain whispered, shyly. And, the hero shuffled.

"What?" The hero asked.

"You could have...made me shut up." The villain implied, and the hero's eyes widened. He raised his eyebrows.

"Did you want me to?" The hero pressed, a smirk making its way on his lips.

"Tch, you wish." The villain laughed, as he forcefully broke the door of the closet and ran. The hero cursed under his breath and ran after him.
