Snippet #11

Snippet #11

The villain scanned the gadgets that were set in front of him, tucked away in glass-paneled shelves on the wall. If you knew about how they worked, you'd know that they could make a person stronger than they are by 10 times. But if you didn't, well, good luck. They could possibly explode you if you didn't use them wisely. The villain sighed, waving his hand dismissively. He needed something better than these toys.

The last time he fought with the hero, the hero had commented that 'he should just fight with some teenagers and not waste his time', he had basically told the villain that he was too strong to be fighting with him. The villain took that very personally, and here he was. He wanted to pin the hero down there and then, if it weren't for the hero's blunt remark making him retreat away. He was still embarrassed about the whole situation. How dare the hero call him 'weak'?! He scoffed quietly, shuffling his feet to his desk.

If he wanted to take down the hero, he needed something that would amplify his powers by more than 10 times. Just as he was thinking what he could do, his sidekick appeared in the doorway, grinning.

"Hey, villain." The sidekick said, coming forward and taking the seat opposite to the villain, seemingly bouncier than usual, the villain noted. "Guess what our fellow scientist is up to? Actually, don't. He's making this new tube-like machine that amplifies your power by 100 times. A hundred times, that is totally insane. Crazy." The villain's eyes widened, that was exactly what he needed. He leaned in, curious.

"That's...that's really awesome." He tried to keep the excitement out of his voice, as he continued, "Did they tell you when it's going to be ready?"

"Oh yeah, he was planning on testing it today. I wanted to volunteer but the supervillain wants me to go a mission. So I can't, how about you?" The sidekick asked, their eyes filled with unhidden eagerness. The villain smirked lightly.

"I might as well. Volunteer, I mean." The villain internally started thinking about how the hero would react if the machine really did work, and he got stronger! The hero was surely going to be surprised, hell, even scared for his life, if it comes to it. He couldn't wait to meet the other, anticipation running wild in his veins as he stood up suddenly. The sidekick glanced up at him. "I should go pay him a visit, it's been a while."

The sidekick nodded, his head bobbing up and down.

When the villain was out of the room, he jumped and fisted a punch in the air. Oh, the hero was going to love it. Or hate it, for that matter.

Prompt #26

"You're addicting. Just like my morning coffee. You awaken every molecule in my body, every time I consume you." The villain breathed against the hero's lips, capturing them again. And then, grinning.

The hero invaded the villain's mouth with their tongue, rolling it all around his mouth. They brought them closer by their waist. Their thin waist, that the hero just wanted to mark it all over. They pulled away, to let both of them draw breath. "Am I, now?" They asked.

"Unfortunately, I don't get to consume you every morning." The villain replied. Their eyes spotted the exposed collar bones of the hero, from the very low v-cut button-up shirt they were wearing. And, they felt the urge to mark it. The hero smiled, licking their lips.

"Someday, that will happen. Okay?" The hero said, sighing.

Prompt #41

“You…I thought…” The villain’s voice trailed off, leaving a roaring silence filled with fear. His ears ringed with the blaring noise of police cars all around him. The hero’s back faced to him, unwavering. Unwilling. He swallowed the lump that had formed in an attempt to stop the tears that threatened to spill from his eyes. The hero turned around, alarmed. His face one of a horror.

“I-I…don’t know how they got to know about our location. I swear-…” The hero whispered, moving towards the villain that was bent over in shock. The villain looked confused. The hero’s head shook violently, bending down before the villain. “I didn’t, please.” He murmured, again. His heart aching at the sight of the villain’s tears, the villain swat them away harshly.

“Of course you did. You would have. I should’ve known. We could never be together, you’re too good for me. I’m too disgraceful for you.” The villain’s eyes turning dark, his expression ominous. The hero felt hopeless, so he kissed the villain. Or tried to, but the police were inside the room, taking away the villain with them forcefully. He could barely touch the villain’s lips a hitch, before the other was snatched away from him. He stood there watching the villain’s face going away, his hands that he caressed every morning, now, covered with cuffs.

The hero’s eyes blurred the vision, and as he attempted to go to the villain, pull him away, and run, he collapsed on the floor.

Prompt #44

The villainess meandered to where the heroine was tied to the chair, a cloth wrapped across her mouth, restricting her to even escape a sigh. The heroine struggled when she saw the villainess coming out from the shadows, making strangled noises. “What did I tell you, hmm?” The villainess murmured, lazily. She stopped advancing, and simply stood there, her hands in her pockets.

The heroine gazed up, her breath almost hitching. The lights above her making the villainess’s face glow, and she had to admit, it was a beautiful sight to see. She tore her eyes from the villainess and fixed it on the ground. “I told you to keep quiet, pin drop silent. Yet here you are, all over the place. So loud,” The villainess hissed , and the heroine shuddered. “Perhaps, we should find other creative ways to help you keep down?”

The villainess lowered herself to peek at the heroine’s face, and just now the heroine realized how close they were. A breath away, from colliding their foreheads. She backed away, scratching the chair across the floor, and turned away her head. The villainess raised her eyebrows, and with a swift motion, took out the cloth binding the heroine’s mouth.

“Let me go.” The heroine murmured, after taking a few deep breaths. Her face glinted with sweat, the room so hot it prickled her skin.

“What if I don’t want to? What if I say I want you to be here, be mine. Forever.” The villainess whispered, and maybe it was the light that was shining, but the heroine couldn’t help seeing a possessive sparkle in the other’s eyes. "What if I say I'm obsessed with you, and can't stop thinking about you every second of day and night?"

The heroine narrowed her eyes, surely, this was another of one villainesses' tactics to make her a flustered mess. A tease, like always. She sighed. This was going to be tough.

"When were you not obsessed with me? You've always been, but I can't-...we can't. We can't ever be together. It's near impossible." The heroine shook her head, her wrists aching from the tightness of the ropes. The villainess stood there for a moment, looking dazy, before moving her feet and untying the heroine.

"Go." The villainess said, her voice thick. She refused to meet the heroine's eyes. The heroine, who was confused, stared. "Go. Leave."

And so the heroine did, she ran as far away as her legs could take her without ever glancing back. Without ever thinking what they could have been, had she not ran away.

Prompt #78

@writingpromptsworld

“So…you lost the bet.” The villain mused, smirking what seemed to be tremendous amount of satisfaction.

The hero frowned. They didn’t even know what the villain was talking about. “What bet?” They asked.

“The bet that said that neither of us would ever fight each other again. But here we are.” The villain explained, nodding.

“Well, then you’ve lost the bet too. You’re here, aren’t you.”

“Oh, no no no. I’m just here to inform you that you’ve lost the bet.” The villain said hurriedly.

The hero stood puzzled for a moment. And then they smiled. “In that case, I’m also here to inform you that you’ve lost the bet.”

The villain pouted. Adorable, the hero thought. “You can’t use my reasoning against me.”

The hero tittered, almost fondly. They took a step forward, the hand raising to stroke the villain’s cheek.

“You’re adorable.” They said. The villain blushed, glaring at them half-heartedly.

“I still won the bet.” The villain insisted.

“Mhmm you did.” The hero responded.

When the hero later asked the villain-their head lying on hero’s lap- what was the prize for winning the bet, the villain realized they had forgotten to decide on the prize.

Prompt #39

Cw: Drug use

The villain's head throbbed with pain, as they willed themself to sit up. The room was dark, with barely any light. A tiny ray of shine was coming from the window on the right, and they exhaled. Before they could figure out where they were, footsteps echoed in the room, nearing them in the passing seconds.

"Finally awake, are we?" The person spoke, the all-too-familiar voice. The villain recognized it almost immediately but still had difficulty making out what the other was saying. They blinked a few times to make his eyes focus, and brain, work. However, to their veil, it didn't work. Not really.

"Where am I?" The villain whispered into the dark, their throat so dry, it felt like he had just swallowed a handful of sand. A scared feeling crawled up their spine, raising goosebumps in its wake. The hero's voice frightening them, making them feel so small.

"You're in my office. I'm supposed to hold you hostage, until the morning." The hero uttered lazily. Unaware of how the villain's body was shaking, crawling itself in. They forced themself to say something.

"I-...I don't understand." The villain said, gulping.

"I drugged you and then brought you here. Now, do you understand?" The hero asked, an irritated edge accompanying their words. The villain closed in on themself even more and nodded in the pitch black. They blamed themself for ever believing the hero and they had anything going on between them. Clearly not.

Prompt #53

By @writingpromptsworld

A forming of thoughts seethed into the hero’s head, whilst he watched the villain flirt with their sidekick. Perhaps, a feeling that he wasn't quite ready to name it yet. An emotion that he so long ago buried inside of him that was menacing to rise again. He watched as his sidekick blushed, hearing the villain's words. What words, the hero didn't want to know.

When he first arrived at the location, he didn't expect their sidekick to be with the villain. But now what? The sidekick is with the villain, what was he to make of that? Was the sidekick betraying him? He shook his head, trying to get it out of his head, even though he failed to do so miserably. He was hiding behind a building, watching the villain and the sidekick still talking about something without a care in the world. He decided to slowly move out from where he was hiding, and just face him.

The villain and the sidekick didn't notice the hero until he was literally in front of them, with a gun in his hand pointed at them.

"What the hell are you doing here?" The hero sneered. The sidekick's eyes widened, as the villain looked between them.

"Listen, it's not as it seems, okay?" The sidekick attempted to say, the hero advanced towards him, slowly. Almost like a predator.

"Oh, yeah? I knew you'd betray the company. That you'd betray me-"

"I was just-", The villain cut him off, as he too, daringly walked to the hero.

"He's here on my request." The villain murmured, his voice deep. The hero hated himself for shuddering at it. He kept his hands steady around the gun, but he didn't know if he could do it much longer, because the way the villain was watching closely while walking toward him, made him want to go weak on his knees. A beast awakening inside of him, wanting more. His breath halted, when the villain took the gun out of his hand, tossing it aside, carelessly. "You're not as mighty as you think, hero."

The sidekick stood where he was, stunned.

The villain's scent was so strong, the hero had to move his face away. The other continued, "You know, your sidekick is too loyal to you, he deserves more appreciation rather than your doubt. He'd never betray you, from what I've learned over the past few years fighting you both."

"You don't know him." The hero willed himself to say.

"Well, clearly, you don't either." The villain threw back, arching an eyebrow at the hero.

"It doesn't matter. He-,"

"Look, he came on my request to the superhero. You can ask him, to confirm it. Now, be a good boy and apologize to the sidekick, yeah?" The hero stubbornly glanced away, silent. If someone needed to apologize, it was the sidekick, not him. He should've told the hero about this beforehand, shouldn't he? He scoffed, shuffling his feet to the sidekick.

"You don't have to. It was kind of my fault, too. Should've informed you about this." The sidekick muttered, a little sheepishly. The hero exhaled.

"I'm sorry, still. Sorry for doubting you." The hero said, the sidekick smiled a little and ruffled his hair. The hero bit his lip, shy all of a sudden. The sidekick knew just the right buttons to push to make the hero all coy and whatnot. The villain stood there, smiling.

The real reason the villain had summoned the sidekick was to discuss the hero's birthday party, which the villain planned to throw at his house, but the hero didn't need to know that. At least, not before his birthday.

Prompt #48

CW: suggestive

“Hmmm…you look good today.” The villain purred, their eyes scanning the hero up and down.

“Wish I could say the same.” The hero started, their feet shifting from one to another, as they came forward. The villain’s eyebrows perked up, their head tilting.

"I look more than good. You just don't have a taste." The villain went on, scowling. They swirled in their chair that was placed behind the big desk. The hero chuckled.

"Oh, and you do?" The hero remarked, stopping in front of the desk, and leaning on it.

"Of course, I do. I have better taste than you." The villain faced the hero, smirking.

"Perhaps that's why you like me." The hero responded, bending themself to the villain's level. The villain inclined too, challengingly so.

"Just because I complimented you doesn't mean I like you." The villain babbled, lazily. They stared at the hero, taking in the sight of them. The hero stared back. The villain glanced away, not being able to stand the way the hero's eyes were peering into his.

"Oh, but your face says otherwise, darling." The hero whispered, and the villain forced themself to ignore just how close they were. An inch of proximity separated them. They wouldn't admit it, but they thought the hero was very hot. Their face burned with embarrassment, a blush making its way on to his cheeks.

The villain's heart raced, as the hero went on, "Did you think I haven't noticed how you've been avoiding me the past few weeks? The way your body reacts every time we touch during our fights?"

"I-..." The villain started, slowly. They gulped, their throat feeling scratchy all of a sudden. But they couldn't continue, because the hero shuffled and came around their desk, leaning from behind.

"This is your one last chance to say what you think about me before I kill you." The hero murmured in their ears.

Prompt #16

The hero smiled softly, while walking to the sleeping body on his couch. His hands held a soft blanket, imprinted with little lions and tigers. He draped it over the villain, gently. The villain instinctively turned towards him in his sleep, cuddling up in the comfort.

The hero gave a quick kiss to the villain’s forehead, and went to make cookies for when the villain wakes up.

Prompt #2

The hero shuddered as the rain poured over them, knees giving out as they fell down. The villain slowly came towards him, holding a knife with way too much blood painted on it.

“Watch me. Watch me as I slaughter the whole city with my two very own hands.” The villain exclaimed, a wicked grin plastered on their face. The hero gulped. He tried to get up by putting his hands on the ground to push his body off, but that didn’t help. He tried and tried until he couldn’t. It rained heavier. The water filled like thousands of knives being pierced through his body.

The villain kept his promise, as he watched him go around and smother blood all over the city. And, he could do nothing but crawl and scream. Feel pain all over his body.

For the first time in his life, the hero felt weak. Miserable. Pathetic.

Prompt #67

By @writingpromptsworld

When the villain woke up, they did not expect to find themselves tied to a bed, their hands and legs binded. Their eyes shot out of their sockets, eyebrows frowning, as their hands twitched by their side to be let free. Panic. They could make out a patient gown that they were wearing for reasons unknown.

They struggled against the heavy metal chain that somehow seemed to wait more by the passing second. However, it wasn’t long before footsteps could be faintly heard coming towards them. Realization.

They held their breath, frozen, and their head throbbed in response. The hero. It was the hero, with a grin well too ingrained in the villain’s head, it was impossible to erase it.

They clenched their jaw at the sight of smiling teeth, and snatched at the chains again which in response tightened, and they let out a scream.

The hero shook their head with a sigh. “Don’t. Don’t try to be free of them, they’ll only strengthen in result.” They said.

The villain stayed silent for a moment, after stopping the fumbling around. They breathed heavily, looking at the hero. “Let me go.” They said, weakly, however the hero could detect the underline of threat they were trying to seep into their words. It didn’t work.

“No. I’m having way too much fun seeing you like this. Finally under my control.” The hero mused, smirking slightly.

“Let. Me. Go.” The villain repeated themself, clenching their jaw which increased the hammering of the headache.

The hero simply sighed again, as if in disappointment. They lightly treaded the ground until they were in front of the villain. “How about you stay still and wait until the scientists come, mhmm? They should be here any moment.”

The villain’s heart raced further, fear and confusion and anger filled their eyes, and they couldn’t help but grab at the chains again in order to espace. “What do you mean?” They asked, voice high but at the same time so afraid. And if it were anyone other than the hero, they wouldn’t have detected it. The hero did, however. And they took great pleasure in it.

“They’re going to experiment on you a little. See what goes in that little head of yours.” The hero smiled, delighted.

The villain’s anger only grew, and they tried to wrestle the chains again. It didn’t help, only made them cry out in sheer pain. They threw curses at the hero. Threats, promises to destroy the hero and the city, but it wasn’t enough. The hero had left by the time the villain was too tired to fight. And they had drifted off to sleep, more like fainted of dizziness.

The drugs did work, the hero pondered, walking out of the room.
