I will never recover from the treatment Jackie got. Since the first episode, Jackie gave EVERYTHING she had to Shauna. She suggested the dress for the party because she wanted to see Shauna approve of something she had saved up for and bought for her, and wanted to see her appreciate her efforts and her care and the fact that she had given her something that, to Jackie at least, would have been special. During the plane crash, Jackie gave Shauna the lucky charm necklace that she is visibly attached to in order to make her feel at ease despite the fact that it was HER favorite necklace and comfort object, as well as her mom's medication for relaxing, even though Jackie probably needed it more if she brought it with her in the first place. When Jackie pulled Shauna away from Van, she didn’t do it to save herself. She did it because Shauna was going to catch on fire. Jackie was still a ways away from the fire, so she didn’t have to worry about herself, and only reacted when Shaun was in grave danger. When both of them were still on good terms and starving, Jackie still gave Shauna her last piece of food because Shauna was hungry, even though Jackie herself was also wasting away. When she read Shauna's journal, it was because she wanted to know how to help her, not for herself or to satiate her own curiosity, just to help her, only to find out all the horrible things Shauna had done to Jackie. Even when they had their last fight, with Shauna projecting herself and her own cruel misdeeds onto Jackie, Jackie still couldn't hurt Shauna, using movie lines in order to keep giving Shauna what she sensed she needed; the promise that she still loved her despite everything within the lack of a true insult. Going out to die was also a decision made FOR Shauna and the rest of the group. They didn't need her, and she couldn't provide for them, not to mention the fact that Jackie had only ever kept living for Shauna, and now that Shauna didn’t want her, she couldn’t keep going, not even for herself. Even after her death Jackie sticks around for Shauna. “You're the one holding the knife” because Shauna had been the only cruel one in their relationship, the one carving everything from Jackie until there was nothing left to give, both literally and figuratively. Not only had Jackie given her whole spirit to Shauna, all her effort, she gave her body too, in the end, letting herself be ruined once more in order to keep Shauna going. As an adult, Jackie still gives the only things she has left to Shauna, advice and her forgiveness, because even with everything that has been done to her, she still loves Shauna, she still wants Shauna to be reminded of what she’s doing, the consequences that can happen to the people around her. And once more, Shauna ignores Jackie’s warnings, Jackie’s efforts. She does what she shouldn’t, and another person she truly loves dies. To the very end, Jackie always kept being a true leader, and demonstrating the reason why she was picked to be team captain; being able to make sacrifices for the good of others.
"wilson is house's dog" WRONG!!!! house is wilson's dog that wilson has to follow around to make sure he doesn't bite, bark or maim people whenever he gets the chance. house is one of those dogs that you can't control so you just let them do what they want in hopes thag the dog will listen to you when the time matters
date idea . we break into someone's house and go through their belongings and find out their deepest darkest secrets and then make out
he looks so pathetic i’m going to put him inside a microwave and watch him spin
You’re gonna look me in the eyes and tell me that this man would be homophobic because it’s the 70s?
Sorry to break it to you but that’s a homosexual. That man is as straight as a circle. Boy kisser.
“jackie taylor and shauna shipman were in love” i say into the microphone. the audience responds with a chorus of boos.
i see someone in the front row pull a tomato out to throw.
“wait!” says a voice from the back.
“she’s right!” the voice calls, silencing the jeering crowd. i look over through the haze- It’s Melanie Lynskey.
helter skelter (2012)
anyway. heres house's face after wilson said "i need you to tell me that you love me"
Have you thought about how maybe one of the reasons Shauna decided to stay is because if she leaves, Jackie is still gonna be there? That she'll leave the last place she saw Jackie at?
Because I do
hey coach, sorry we cannibalized your team captain. in our defense, her pregnant gf said that's what she wanted and we are running out of meat rations and our developing bodies need nourishment. no, I get that it was absolutely terrifying to witness teenagers devour their former leader who was a symbol for societal expectation so voraciously and with such excitement, but you gotta understand we're hungry and the wilderness slow-roasted her to perfection. also you're probably next. xo.
kinda love when wilson gets jealous too. he likes being house's one friend a little too much
