Remember Not To Praise Disney Itself For Diversity And Inclusion In New Baymax Show. You Should Be Thanking

Remember not to praise Disney itself for diversity and inclusion in new Baymax show. You should be thanking animators and directors for pushing this idea which Disney was probably 100% opposed to in the first place. Remember leaked emails written to Alex Hirsh? Don't get fooled.

I’m being so serious btw when I say that Aziraphale needs to break down and scream and cry and shout and express his anger for once. Like I’ve already made a post about how Aziraphale’s response to his abuse is different from Crowley’s, how it’s less socially acceptable and less represented than “instinctual aversion to anything that reminds the victim of the abuser” and how the fandom has reacted really poorly to it (hey maybe instead of blaming the victim for returning to the source of abuse we should… idk, be blaming the abuser?) but I really really hope that Aziraphale gets to actually recognise his abuse and be allowed to process it properly.

Throughout the whole show, and I think we can safely assume, his whole life, he has not cried. He has not cried, or shouted or screamed or let his cheery facade slip for more than a few moments at once. He does not have any healthy coping mechanisms, he cannot acknowledge his abuse and he cannot escape (nor does he feel like he can escape) from the source of abuse. He is still there. He is still being abused, controlled and manipulated right down to the last second of season 2. He has not had the time or the freedom to unpack or even recognise his religious trauma, let alone learn how to deal with it properly. You have to understand this before you blame the entire final fifteen on him.

I am so tired of people thinking that Crowley has faced more abuse than Aziraphale just because it is less subtle and more widely recognised. That is honestly such a harmful idea to have, especially considering how common it is for abuse victims to react in the exact same way as Aziraphale before, during and after they’ve escaped the abusive situation. And you know what? I think the one person who would understand this is Crowley. He knows that Aziraphale is in an abusive situation, he’s been through it himself, and he can recognise what is going on. He knows that Aziraphale is not the enemy, and yes, Aziraphale does need to apologise for hurting him during the final fifteen but if Crowley forgives him, there isn’t anything wrong with that. Crowley understands the context and he understands that Aziraphale is just as much of a victim as he is.

The fandom would do well to understand that too. We’re not picking sides. Aziraphale is just as much of a victim as Crowley is and the person to blame is, and always has been, Heaven’s corrupt and manipulative system.

So, what you’re saying is, introverted asexuals always survive horror movies. This timeline might not be so bad after all.

love to watch horror movies like that’ll never happen to me i’ve never answered a phone call and i don’t have sex

I find it unfathomable and astounding that Tumblr isn't more obsessed with Sam Reich. You're telling me there exists out there a man who was born into the aristocracy of our country—with every privilege of modern society at his fingertips—who didn't complete high school (due to his mental health) and instead chose to devote his life to making strangers laugh and raising awareness on mental health. A full-bearded short king who is so committed to being the change he wants to see in the world that he decided to take the company he worked for into his own hands so that he could make sure all the people who worked under him could keep their livelihoods.

How many other CEOs are out here being as honest and transparent with their target audience/market as Sam Reich is? How many of them acknowledge when they fumble and continuously strive to be better than they were? How many of them actually seem like they respect their talent, both in the cast and crew? Sam Reich is the standard we should be holding other CEOs to.

But forget about all that (I could talk for a long time about the respect I have for Sam Reich)—ignore just how respectable he is as a businessman and a person. Ignore all the wholesome reasons for obsessing over Sam Dalton Reich.

The man is a stone-cold fox.

He's a little chaos gremlin and an absolute evil mastermind all rolled into one classy suit and well-groomed beard. Whenever Sam is on the set, you can guarantee he is going to make you crack a smile. And for someone with such natural authority, he's never afraid to be the butt of a joke and show himself being embarrassed. Go ahead, watch any clip of him trying to improvise in No Laugh Newsroom and just try to resist that blush.

You're sleeping on a goldmine of a man, here, damnit! And I will NOT let this go ignored any longer!

I Find It Unfathomable And Astounding That Tumblr Isn't More Obsessed With Sam Reich. You're Telling

For anyone who needs to hear this.

A reminder to everyone:

If you’re hungry, you should eat. It’s okay. It’s nothing to feel guilty about.

It’s okay to live in a larger body. I promise. You can be healthy in a larger body. Buy clothes that fit your beautiful, perfect body and love that body. It loves you.

Are you craving a certain food? Carbs or ice cream or bananas or chocolate? Eat it. It’s fine. Your body wants it. Restricting your food and dieting makes your body want them more which leads to binging when makes you feel bad.

Move in a way you love. Walk and listen to books or swim or lift weights or dance or jump or play with your kids (or your friends kids! Or with a pet! Or alone!)

You don’t need a “cheat meal” or a “cheat day.” Eating is not a test. There’s nothing moral about it. You can’t cheat at it. Eat what you love.

You don’t have to be on a never ending quest to make your body smaller. Your body is worthy of love and care the way it is.

I Know It’s Not Hard To Point Out Reactionaries Hypocrisy When It Comes To Like Safe Spaces Or Hug

I know it’s not hard to point out reactionaries hypocrisy when it comes to like safe spaces or hug boxes or whatever but genuinely how much of an echo chamber do you have to exist in for you to think this is a reasonable thing to say

Skip Google for Research

As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse.  It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms

As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable.  As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.

Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.

Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.

www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.

www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.

https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.

www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.

http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.

www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.

www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.

www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free
