Nosferatu has something for everyone. Eye candy for the girlies who just like to watch sexy people. Great costume and set design for the historical girlies. If you're a monsterfucker this is for you. Angst lovers your time is now. If you simply enjoy Robert Eggers then prepare for this to be your favorite work from him. If you like your horror gross and disturbing and perverted then this is for you. Tragic romance girlies come get your juice. Gothic and dark romance girlies come get your juice.
I do apologize for referring to your 8 year old as a “churlish young lout”. I find that epithet to accurately portray his conduct but I understand why I must show restraint in expressing my true opinions in his presence. Remove that infernal iPad from his grasp, I implore you.
Haven't seen a version of this meme with super sonic yet, so I had to...
eddie diaz is actually such a fun character. he's had three girlfriends in his whole entire life but still carries unimaginable drip. he was a teen dad but instead of seeing his son as a burden or regret he flourished under fatherhood. he's serious but also very very silly. his government name is edMUNDO. he doesn't believe in curses but has been plagued by saw traps for basically his entire adult life. he loves his bestfriend enough to give him his son. he wear chanclas around his house. he's the princess of LA. he's maybe even gay. imagine being racist enough to dislike this guy.
Screw canon they’re all bisexual (to me)
Something that really fucks me up is this scene where Robin says she wants to die and how Luffy makes this face
And upon reading this for the first time, I felt a huge wave of emotion over his expression because it just felt to me like when he heard that, he was seeing something else. Almost like a memory that we weren't being shown.
And then later when Ace and Luffy's backstory plays out, this is revealed;
That Ace was suicidal. Feeling like it was wrong for him to have even been born and to live. Feeling hurt, angry, alone and unwanted.
And that the only reason he felt like he had the strength to keep living was because Luffy told him that he didn't want him to die.
Ace never directly told Luffy that he wanted to kill himself. But with the way he carried himself and the obvious disregard he had for his life, it was easy to see for someone as empathetic and intuitive as Luffy. And so Luffy stayed close to Ace desperately until he felt strong enough to stand on his own.
Luffy has had so many suicidal people in his life since such a young age and he always saves them in such a seemingly effortless way just by saying
"I'll be there with you. I'll stay."
But what alot of people don't understand is that in spite of Luffy's endless empathy, compassion and love that's deeper than the ocean, when somebody he loves wants to die it always hurts him so bad and it shows so much on his face at even a hint of it.
He bounces back with a smile so often and kicks so much ass that it's so easy to forget sometimes that he's just this 17-19 year old kid...
Who, at his core, is still always crying and begging the people he loves not to leave him because he doesn't want to be alone anymore, either.
i love unrequited love, i love blind devotion, i love guard dogs. i love being desperately obsessed with the object of your affections. i love when devotion rots into cruelty, i love when love doesn't know any better, i love when love is ugly. i love defanging and declawing yourself just to be loved. i love when a character will wait for the next time they will be loved like a bird or a dog at their beloved’s door. i love when love is insanity and by the LORD do i love betting on losing dogs
Things that make me love Checo (and the lessons I learned from him):
He carried around fish in his pockets because he wanted to walk them and be closer to his pets, and by extention killed them (lesson: love can kill you).
His siblings told him he was adopted (typical joke among mexican families) and he was convinced it was the truth, so he started asking his mother for his real family (telling her: 'lady, just tell me where my real family is) and then one day he packed up a small bag and went to look for his family (lesson: don't believe everything you are told).
His mother gave all three siblings a big ass-whooping for the whole occurrence (lesson: don't piss off a mexican mom).
He wanted to be a soccer player at first, and karting was just a hobby. The one invested in a career in driving was Toño. He tricked his brother in a race and manage to close up in a curve, taking them both out and pissing his brother off (lesson: dreams can change).
Also he was winning a race, and at the last lap, he thought it was over because he was distracted as he wanted to go to a soccer match and was in a hurry. Everyone kept telling him that he still had a lap left and when he managed to finish, he was second (lesson: pay attention to what you are doing).
Without any notion of how expensive long-distance calls were, he spent his nights calling to Germany, without knowing english and asking a friend to translate, until his mom got the phone bill and got another ass-whooping. He had to switch to exchange emails (lesson: keep trying no matter what).
Manage to convince the Slims to invest in his racing career (the origin of the sugad daddy jokes) and they sent him to Germany but he had to work to support himself until he could actually race (lesson: things will get worse before they get better).
He slept in a warehouse on flour sacks, and he then worked as a waiter and was allowed to sleep in the restaurant having as a roommate a chef who hated him because he was up all night (he was getting used to the change in time zone and got bored) and kept stealing his food (particularly pasta, which is why is his best dish to cook). He helped baking desserts and tried to learn german but never succeeded (lesson: some things are not meant to be, like learning german).
After failing with his first team, he seriously considered going back home and just forget about the racing dream. He was lonely, he felt he wasn't doing much and he barely spoke english and in his team they all spoke in german. This is when the Slims also doubted whether to continue sponsoring him, but then he asked for them to give him another chance and got another team (lesson: never give up).
This was just an excuse to use a few of my vintage Checo pictures, thank you for stopping by, please feel free to keep scrolling.
(or if you want me to keep going for the GP2 series and the start of F1, let me know!)
Except you don't need to stick your faces together/use tongue for a kiss to be "good".
These are two middle-aged men who probably haven't had any experience kissing someone they love, so they're obviously gonna be a bit out of practice.
I know that it was passionate and sweet, and they deserve that.
