I need advice from my fellow Wallace fans. So I made Mossdeep on my animal crossing and made Steven as my starter villager then decided Steven needed Wallace on his island as well, so I made originshipping animal crossing style, but I'm having issues deciding how to decorate Wallace's house. so far I got his main room which I want to add a few more fish tanks, I got the kitchen and working on the bedroom and bathroom, and of course made his basement into a pool, but I don't know what to do with this extra room. If anyone has suggestions, let me know! Also, if anyone plays AC and has a hat that looks similar to what Wallace wears, please let me buy one off you! I got lots of balls! :3 Also, I'll post Steven's house too
I have been working on a project with something similar to that as the premise for a while now, though my Taliesin's not as genre-savvy and the timelines he goes between are all either medieval or of my own invention/amalgamation, not from modern retellings.
It would be cool if he bridged retellings as well, and that could make an excellent fic. What I'm writing is a bit different from that in flavor and I do hope to ultimately publish it.

Do you think there's potential if you can use Chief Bard Taliesin as The Fourth Wall/Meta Guy™ of Arthuriana?
As in, Taliesin - as a supernatural storyteller, arguably superior to the prophetic Merlin - being an almighty observer of ALL continuities of Arthuriana, able to know who is who, what happens in what version, and just being able to jump in and out of the different storylines whenever he wants.
One moment, Taliesin is hanging out in Caerleon-on-Usk, performing for Lucius Artorius Castus and then teleport on over to laugh at Monty Python!Arthur and co. getting owned by the killer rabbit.
In another scene, Taliesin talks about the different versions of the Grail Quest to Arthur and Peredur, giving comments about what he likes and doesn't like about each one, while expressing how he's annoyed with the French writers obsession with Lancelot and Tristan. Also, Taliesin gets to talk about all the different love interests of Lancelot and Gawain to French!Lancelot (who's in complete meltdown) and Welsh!Gwalchmai, who's like 😎
Taliesin predominantly hangs out with Merlin, his tutor Blaise and fellow aspiring bard, Sir Dinadan, inside Magic Treehouse!Morgan's Treehouse but every once in a while, Taliesin gets into an adventure and then brings along whatever character he needs, from Sir Segurant and Culhwch to BBC Merlin!Merlin and Fate!Artoria.

like i have such a strong belief that that man is a rug muncher LMAO. like he doesn’t mind either way!! bare, trimmed, full bush, whatever!!! he’s a grown man, something as silly as that isn’t gonna phase him whatsoever (plus, it’s not like he keeps his body hair super well maintained, so who is he to say anything?)

like okay okay imagine him scrolling through his phone during his lunch break, swiping through video after video on the godforsaken app that you had begged him to him download (“you have to keep up with the times, sho! plus, i wanna send you cute cat videos.” you had insisted. so guess what he did?)
and his for you page was just that!! cute cat videos with an occasional repost of yours (usually just an edit or some sort of silly meme he didn’t understand), so it wasn’t really surprising when a tiktok you had commented on made its way to his for you page. and honestly? he didn’t pay the video much attention! … until he saw your comment. who knew a simple declaration of “me this summer” with a silly emoticon would be the thing to temporarily put eraserhead out of commission?
you didn’t see the way he had to collect himself for a few minutes after seeing your comment, but you did see the notifications of him liking the video and the texts he sent you seconds later!!! (“let me know when you go bathing suit shopping for the summer.” another message. “i’ll go with you to help pick some out.” short, sweet, and to the point. charming.)
from the transgender reading perspective, the thing about yashiro's assumption that his stepfather hated the idea of his body becoming "male" which makes the emphasis so important, is that it's all it is - an assumption. not necessarily a wrong one, but one made three years later, specifically after (and because of?) experiencing a form of rejection by kageyama that yashiro ties to his bisexuality and, by extension, gender as well.
it's easy to read projection into it, at least to a degree. the feeling of wrongness in your own body, constant and unrelenting, that yashiro never puts into words. dysphoria, if i had to put it into one. because it's not just about becoming an adult, it's about becoming "a man", about puberty and changes that may have been unwanted. "he must have hated it, and part of me hates it too".
and that's the pattern. everything always, always circles back to "being a man" or rather - "not a (cis) woman". disgust, hatred, abuse, desirability as a sex object, and only as a sex object but never a person, are all easily explained and justified by that alone. yashiro thinks that kageyama stops touching him not just because he's bi, but because he's "a man who likes men". it's a wrong assumption, which is why kuga hurt as much as he did, but it's important that that's where yashiro's mind goes to and that it stays with him for years. how his stepfather actually felt doesn't matter, but if his hatred towards the changes in yashiro's body played any role in him leaving, then it's ultimately a good thing. still, though, that's where the mind goes. the connection between "maleness" and aversion, even when it may be desired, is always there. and it says more about yashiro's feelings than it does about anyone else's.
if I cannot protect our memories, what worth does the future hold for us?
The best versions of its not a game/it's just a ride are the ones that feel unchoreographed. No forced dances, just the pure happiness of the choir as they spin and dance around the stage. They're all doing their own little silly things, cherishing their last moments with each other before moving into the unknown.
It's bittersweet, but the children have finally accepted their deaths, and they feel happy about them, that they got to make a change in someone else’s life and truly express themselves. They also know that whatever comes next, they're in it together. It's even better when they laugh and run and make tiny little jokes and give hugs. Reminds everyone that they're just kids in the end.
Only shows I've seen able to match this feeling are the Og, majestic rep, and mcarter (with yannick ofc) Algkfigkgigogi I love it so much 😭😭
