Rq I'm gonna cross post (this will make it's way onto Bluesky eventually I PROMISE FOR THOSE OF YALL WHO ARE PROBABLY STARVING FOR YAPPING-) this here so y'all can see the reason why I named Present Mic/Yamada Hizashi "Ear Piercer" in my Villains AU.

Quick tldr: Villain!Mic's name in this AU is Ear Piercer! He uses it as a means of tricking his enemies into not knowing what his quirk is.

(Below is my ramble because I cannot shut up sorry anon!) so for those that wanna hear the long one, it's under the cut!

Long answer:

My villain!Mic's name is actually Ear Piercer! For people that haven't heard of him, the name serves as a means of throwing them off of his quirk.

Cuz some people think "oh Ear Piercer? Must be a dude that has a quirk that physically pierces something" not "Ohhh he pierces people's ears with Voice".

He thought it was obvious at first because he also wears a mask similar to his directional speaker but apparently not!

The first like several fights when he announced himself, some heroes and villains prepared by covering their faces or other body parts instead of covering their ears like they would had he announced himself as Present Mic.

He uses this to his advantage of course.

Also he chose his name like he did with Present Mic. He wanted something related in some way to his quirk without calling himself what his quirk is.

Villain!EMic thoughts (to be added to when cross posting from Twitter)

I've been having villain!EMic thoughts lately (if you follow me on Twitter I posted a stupid thing today about it after that piece I did) and y'know I really think this might be the only universe other than the one in which Oboro doesn't die that Aizawa and Mic can actually drift apart without being on bad terms.

These two, in the main canon I use for most of my artwork, are absolutely NOT on good terms in their early 20s. They aren't even together in their early 20s, they are broken tf up because long distance didn't work for them at all.

The villain one involves them (so far I might change this) drifting apart because they lost contact. Mic changed his phone number after Oboro died (years later btw they texted but stopped once Aizawa kinda didn't want to think about their friend anymore) and Aizawa fucked off to god knows where.

They both became villains because they had to witness their friend pass away and both could not cope with it for shit. Neither of them decided to get together (unlike my main canon. They're friends to lovers to exes to friends to lovers there) and they meet again at a goddamn bus stop. There's more to this that I have to cross post over here but it's the most awkward thing ever because Mic didn't realize he was talking to Aizawa (disheveled villain!Aizawa my beloved) and accidentally confessed his feelings.

So he's pouring out his heart and soul to a guy he thinks is a stranger until Aizawa moves his hair a bit and he realizes "oh. SHIT." So one hour long (Mic's was a whole hour, Aizawa got off 30 minutes into the bus ride) awkward bus ride and a sneaky slip of his number into Aizawa's pocket later and they are talking again.

I really want to expand on this more btw because they do get together and have a kind of strange dynamic (still in love with each other and it's still a bit complicated but it's not entirely emotional constipation all over the place. That's still a thing but there's a lot of "taking out hard feelings" on people who make them angry) and I also want to explore the shit outta villain!Mic and villain!Aizawa. They are dear to me.

Quick spoiler disclaimer for beyond the cut. It does talk about the final episode and other parts of season 7 for MHA/BNHA! Not a lot but there is a mention of a few scenes just in case y'all haven't watched yet!

I have so many drafts like it's not funny. There's a new one I'm writing that's just my thoughts on the end of MHA's manga because some of it makes me kind of annoyed. I already have one I'm finalizing for Midnight (don't even get me started RN for that one, she deserved better all Imma say), one for togachaco and one for Present Mic/Yamada Hizashi because of one of the things I reblogged like five days ago.

This one is gonna be on my thoughts for like the rest of the students because, at least to me, we don't talk about them all enough. We talk about Uraraka, Todoroki and Midoriya (and by proxy Bakugō) but we don't talk about Momo, Jirō, Kaminari or anyone else enough. Yes this is spurred by that parallel back to season 1 where the students are all flashed to and we see Kaminari staring down at where Midoriya is during the season finale.

To put it simply as to what that one is probably gonna have in it: these heroes are kids. All of them that are in the damn war are fucking kids. We don't talk enough about the trauma of seeing people die, people get hurt, the after effects for some of them (ex: Jirō and her ear), watching people potentially die (ex: Kaminari watching Aizawa and Mic fall practically to their deaths if not for Kurogiri) and so many other things.

They're seeing what no adult wanted them to see this early, hell they saw things during the PLW too, don't think I'm gonna forget about several students seeing Midnight dead. Like I think we don't talk about a lot of this enough and it's prompting a really, really long ramble post because I want to talk about it. It rattles around in my brain a lot.

just realized Aizawa’s and Vlad King’s birthdays are two days apart. I don’t yet know what I’m going to do with this information but I have to do SOMETHING

I'm finding out from at least two people who have commented and reblogged on two different art posts (the one on the artchive and the EMic doodles) that y'all like tooth gap Mic/Hizashi. Y'all have no idea how much that means to me-

NGL, I mostly saw the headcanon and went "yeah that checks out" and then added it to my collection of visual headcanons. It's like the freckles, although I do project a lot for the freckles because I have freckles (to the point his freckles and moles on him are literally almost the same patterns as mine-) but that's not the point.

Anyway I'm rambling about how much I almost squeal when I see someone liking a headcanon I put on a character, in this case Mic/Hizashi, because idk it just is so nice to see. I love seeing people enjoy headcanons and sharing them so I think that's why.

Someone pointed out that the students have their hero costume designs on the microphones, checked EraserMic and they have a part of their costumes on the microphones too-

I like both of them but Mic's is cool, it resembles the studs on his jacket and shoulder pads. Aizawa's are his goggles of course so that's so cool. I'm in love man.

Oh yeah, btw don't think I'm not drawing beatboxer Mic and Aizawa. Y'all crazy to think I wouldn't my tl on Twitter is full of drawings of them so it's giving me a lot of inspo. I love them dearly and I have the urge man!

The doodles from yesterday are done. I'm on a fix for dadmic RN and he's getting his daughters goddamn it-

He's getting all the damn hugs from Jirō, Uraraka and Eri and nobody can stop me.

Like I'm so close to just drawing them all together after the war and he just cries because one, his daughters are alive (maybe not in the best shape but alive) and two, they're his babies. He might not be their biological father but y'all can't tell me Jirō doesn't see him as a mentor figure at least, Uraraka has his favor and Eri is already under his care so it just works.

And don't think I won't make an accompanying thing with Hitoshi and Aizawa (and Monoma because I see him as an honorary "son" figure to Aizawa after the war and being so damn close to him to use erasure). I just have a bigger fix for dadmic than I do dadzawa rn but they'll come, they'll come.

That is one of his daughters. He looks at Uraraka so fondly I swear to god. It makes me ILL oh my god.

I'll elaborate more on this when I'm out of class but I have to put it out here before I entirely forget about it.

Had the most awful (/pos) drawing/partial animatic idea just because of one post on Twitter and listening to "The Winner Takes It All" by ABBA:

Young Shōta being the "winner" during the time when Oboro passes with Oboro being the "loser" and Kurogiri being the "winner" when he gets destroyed during the war while Hizashi is the "loser".

And it's not using the main part of the song for "the winner takes it all, the loser has to fall" oh no it's the outro portion for like animatic purposes.
