you ever think about how the Owl House uses hair as a metaphor for control?
like how Lilith straightened her hair and dyed it black when she joined the Emperor’s Coven, and after she left the Coven, it began to return to its natural, frizzy state
like how Amity dyed her hair green and kept it short and neat because her mother liked it that way, and after she stopped following her mother’s orders, she dyed it purple and let it grow long
like how Vee kept her hair short and brown when she had to pretend to be Luz, but now that she is her own person, her hair is colorful and fluffy
like how Camilla used a straightening iron on her hair and after she refused to allow society to tell her how to parent, she threw her straightener out and let her hair be curly again
like how Hunter had his long hair and that one strand of hair because Belos wanted him to look just like Caleb, and after he escaped Belos’s control, he cut it short and became his own person.
and when Belos possessed him, Hunter’s hair grew long again
Guys I just realized something,,,
You know how we're getting like...so much content on the owl kids right? But we aren't getting literally ANY info on the owl crew on the boiling isles? None at all? It's a little worrying?? And I didn't even hear anyone mention it??? (• ▽ •;)
Like, they're just giving us a bunch of content of the owl kids whilst not wanting to spoil too much, so they're probably putting the less intense stuff in there, but they're not putting anything abot Eda and co...so that probably means that that stuff is like really intense or something right?
I just wanna know what is happening to my owl babies man-

I was watching Secret Saturdays right in the cap where Francis appears and God, Zak and Francis, that ship relationship of enmity and love crossed my mind. Then while I was watching the cap, I remembered that Lumity was a ship of enmity and love, and boom, an idea to draw. Luz is Zak and Amity Francis Obio I also drew Zak and Francis as Luz and Amity

she also really likes mcr but doesn’t want to admit it cause she thinks it’s cringe
