I'm going to take this phrase to life from now on

Cheapstake: A long time ago i heard this phrase..

Cale: *ignoring him*

Cheapstake: Give a man a match, and he’ll be warm for a few hours. Set him on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

Cale: *chokes*

Ever wonder what the “traditional” heroes before Cale were like? I imagine them like this:

Archmage: I studied the arcane arts after my master, a dragon in disguise, took pity on me, a human child. Under their tutelage, I have nurtured my talent in powerful spellcasting. Now I have become an archmage.

Swordmaster: I’ve swung my sword a thousand times, no, a million times. I have swung my sword day after day. It is my way of life, the way of the sword. I trained until I became one with my sword. My aura is proof that I have ascended into the rank of a swordmaster.

Saint: By the grace of god, I will heal the sick and guide those who are led astray. My unshakable faith is the reason why God blessed me as their Saint.

Yeah it's heavenly luck to acquire a single AP or whatever, but it's so funny when the hero party asks an AP user how they got their power and dude goes Oh I picked it up in my backyard 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
