Some Render practice and sketches ⬇️
Not me watching the Drawfee Backgrounds episode today and immediately wanting to try it
I wanted to draw Obito. But I felt insecure about it because of my terrible art block at the moment. So, I drew a genderbent version of him instead. Don’t ask about the suit, it was for something.. the chair has symbolisms by the way (except for the fact that the symbolisms are terribly done).
The second image is the reference! I found it on Pinterest so apologies, I don’t know who made it. Well either way, I hope anyone that sees this have a great day :P
I completed a few art pieces that were in the works since 2023. The characters shown here were made up on the spot, rather than being existing OCs 🫠

I'm back to classes again
Here's all ten of those fuckers that I had to speedrun today, can you tell how much I hate my professor for delivering important information that should've been known from the start of the practice and not three days before the exam?
Day three, I continue drawing things I'm not comfortable drawing
Day two of torturing myself. Now it's Meryl's turn
I decided to begin practicing drawing humans. Do I have any fucking idea what the hell am I doing? No. Will Vash suffer at my hands? Yes. Don't mind the first guy's face btw
𝘓𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘦 Little light practice inspired by The Weeknd's song "Moth To A Flame" : https://youtu.be/u9n7Cw-4_HQ?si=ClCd-K6GCVgSp1rn
It's 3 in the morning and I finally finished this thing, I was hoping to finish it faster, but this week I've been with some friends so I haven't drawn as much as before xb
I did this to have a better idea on how to shade and where when the light is hitting the front, in profile. I get an idea of where the more general shadows are, but it was also to know how many tones to use and how, which is the most complicated part.
A bunch of practices, trying to get better at drawing women :
This was a weird combination of working in grayscale, using the curve tool to add one color to the body, another to the light and shadow, then merging all the layers to turn it back to black and white and continue working on my values , and have a color copy. The color editing, took me more time than the shading or anatomy, I don't think this is the best way to work.
This ended up taking more time than I expected, it's fun, but the stairs and ellipses is the only thing, I don't like to draw much :b though I like the end result.
Finding the VP and auxiliary vps of these references was a pain, but I think I'm getting better at locating them now XD Hopefully when I finish the course I have time to try to draw a scene with what I learn with one of my characters.
The last stairs were the most complicated to do, they turned out better than I expected, but I know I need to improve the perspective some places XD
When the teacher checked it, maybe I will update this work with the corrections, if I have time.
A MasterMind art piece I did. Not happy with the colors of the scroll yet or the background but I like how he looks.
A collection of my most recent NightWing sketches.
Queen BattleWinner
MorrowSeer
SecretKeeper
And MasterMind
And of course all 4 outlines for size.
Still working on the concept of a comic, as soon as I've figured out the first 'instalment' I'll start working on and posting it. Never done a comic before so I'm excited.
I'm also trying to mess with facial expressions.
Drew the fuckass again. He runs like a bear here. I need to make a run cycle bible for different fun types.
MorrowSeer and his wife Secretkeeper. I have an AU idea I'm working on where this couple both have the idea to hide their egg in the rainforest, at the persuasion of Mastermind of course
Explanation below the cut
MasterMind found a fragment of an old book referenceing the connection between the moon and the Nightwing powers. He did not dismiss this literature as a work of fiction because it was authored by a well known scientist of old about the possible connection between nutrition of the mother while laying the egg and the speed of the produced hatchling's development.
The article addressed both the physical and psychic development of the hatchling, acknowledging the small sample size of MoonBorn dragonets as a potential error in their research.
MoonBorn was a common term in the legends of powered Nightwings. Most assumed MoonBorn to be a name, perhaps the name of a powerful seer who predicted other seers hatching. But if it was instead a condition of hatching, could the powers of old be real?
Fewer and fewer Nightwings were being hatched each year. The selection of possible 'test subjects' was few, and the conditions on the island were all wrong.
The punishment for being caught were severe, BattleWinner did not view treason lightly. But the benefits... If his research was correct... He could be responsible for the hatching of the first seer in centuries.
He needed an egg, preferably willing parents, and an opportunity granted only to those most loyal to the queen.
A double moonlit sky was approaching, he had less than a year.
------------------
I'm still working on this concept. I want to explore a world where Secretkeeper and MorrowSeer have similar goals and ideas. Where Moon's abilities are a goal her parents tried to achieve. And where she is trained by both her mother and father.
I might retcon this later though. Perhaps MasterMind thought the moons would make the dragonet an Animus instead, and the mind reading and seer powers were an unexpected result. Perhaps the queen finds out about this plan before it's fully carried out. Perhaps the RainWings find the egg and take it with them to their hatchery. Who knows. I plan to make this a comic as a sort of art practice. Any and all feedback is appreciated.
Been trying to figure out this run cycle for months and gave up a while ago. Not as simple as a walk cycle unfortunately.
Had another idea for a movement loop. I think my problem is that I'm overthinking these. I want all the frames to be perfect, but they won't be.
I don't know why I've just now been struck by the animation bug but I'm grateful that I might be able to finish old work.
I've been a little obsessed with a half baked oc from a half-baked story of mine. She is a Skywings, the stripes are painted on
My first attempt at a Hivewing.
This is actually an old WIP that I actually managed to finish, so yay!
I was attempting to imitate the gig wasp, and fortunately the colors seem to work.
Had to draw this.
Due to the three tribes distinct genetic traits, some features override others. Appearing mostly Rainwing, Tuna is lanky and colorful. Both Sandwing and Seawing attributes made them more spiny and added a sail which snakes down their back, stopping before the tail. They have limited color changeing abilities, almost all dark colors they change to are more blue than black, and lighter colors always carry a yellow tint.
As for glow scales
They aren't specific to designated scales like they are for Seawings. Rather certain scales glow the brightest and are surrounded by a smattering of smaller and seemingly randomly placed scales.
@cindle-the-candle
I hope you enjoy them. I made them a little gender ambiguous so you could choose. Feel free to change any details you like.
Hypothetically, according to wof and real life stuff, you would mix a sandwing, rainwing, and sea wing, and name it tuna. or even like- any of those 3 mixed- A tun can be a fish or a catcus fruit. Idk, 1:32 am thoughts ig...I'm claiming tuna, the sea-rain-sand hybrid as my oc now. dunno if i should draw em (Considering i'm not great at dragons) but y'know, maybe.
Colored animation I did of a Darkstalker design. Going to give him some jewelry and shadeing.
Looking at it now I probably should have had the head tilt down for the smile, but I'm not changing it now.
A more worked on animation loop
Darkstalker redesign!
Finally I am free from Calculus and can do art.
Anyways the changes from my previous design are small but I think it will help with animating expressions.
Darkstalker and Clearsight as they aged through the book.
It's gotten to the point that my phone no longer tries to autocorrect Darkstalker and recognizes it as a name.
I want to practice drawing baby chub on dragons. The darkstalker baby isn't very baby, really lean. Clearsight looks more like a baby but I think it's something I need to practice more.
