Curate, connect, and discover
An albatross sketch I made. It's Halloween themed.
I wanted to practice color and lighting. I think I did ok. Lacking focus though.
Either way I'm happy with this.
Darkstalker picking his teeth.
Color is definitely still a weak point for me but I've got to practice.
Someone tell me if that arm looks janky. I tried my best but this seems to be what works.
A sketch I made of the Nightwing empire as described from the egg hatching peak
This is an old OC of mine who actually has a name. I'm pretty sure mangrove was a rain wing name but there is considerable overlap between the two tribes loose territory that I think works as a mudding name too.
She's a lil darker than I expected, I think I need to counter the coloring with some lighter horns, but I like her a lot
Since she's an old OC, of course she has a tragic backstory.
She got lost as a dragonet playing with her siblings and ended up floating down stream. Unable to find her way back home, she started following other older sib groups. Not always welcome but eager to learn, she developed a generally friendly repour with the population around her. As she grew she started to wonder about her lost family from years ago and started traveling up stream to find them.
I want to use her development to explore the mudding cast system. If not by blood, then how do they decide who is more important or who should be allowed in the palace? What are their jobs, how do they grow crops, canals????
Another icewings hybrid. This one part sky. They are related to Woodfrog through their mother. I think this guy is male.
His design is based on those bearded vultures that eat bone. He does swim but doesn't like it. Sassy like his sister but glares a lot more.
No name yet if anyone wants to submit ideas.
Gah! I. Must. Fight. The. Art. Block!
Anyways this is my ice/rain wing hybrid. I like the idea of her true feelings/colors being obscured by her icelike scales, but still visible.
She swims too. Just in case you thought you were safe.
No name yet. I'm bad at names.
Hello! Anyone have any cool tribrid ideas or designs for wof?
I've actually found myself needing some inspiration as I've never made tribrids before and honestly don't know what to do.
OMG this was a lot of work. I'm really proud of my attempt at fabric. Anyway,
DRAGON GOD!!
I wanted to make a dragon deity in the Civ 6 era score. Essentially a marker that depicts the new religion and it's symbol. I wanted to make a little blurb describing the deity and it's roles, but it's not the same without the narrator's voice
Another animation loop. I like this girl, she is a bit more energetic and likes to smile with teeth.
This is another commission template if anyone is interested.
Cult of the lamb, Statue of The Beast. My all time favorite occurrence in the game. I think he is an octopus. Looking at the original statue I'm pretty sure he has 8 tentacles, making them an octopus.
I always look for this guy as I'm always needing food on a penance mode.
An OC of mine. I love all the tribes because I can explore their culture through my head cannons.
This man, he is a witch doctor. Not because he's a healer who uses plants but because of his morbid curiosity with aggressive or incurable diseases.
He will be moving over to the first continent soon to investigate their plants and illnesses. He theorizes that his continents compact population has cultivated more aggressive diseases so he should have immunity to the first continents sicknesses.
Perhaps we will see some of his drawings and notes on the new flora.
I'm thinking about the ancient Nightwing city that fell into the water. What do you think the ruins look like?
I want to make art of it but I'm just not confident enough with my ruin drawing skills to make more right now. Thinking about posting Cult of the Lamb art though as practice
Animated my pretty girl!!!
Took about 4 hours to complete.
Here is a quick sketch of the early animation.
V V V V V
I'm considering putting together a series of short animation loops like this one and using them for commission templates.
IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN COMMISSIONING A LOOP LIKE THIS, comment below. I really like little sketches like this and it's a lot of fun.
My pretty girl! After animating her I've really grown to like her design. Unsure if I want to add chin waddles or not.
Trying to figure out a name for her. The closest cool fish I've found is the lantern fish. Not sure if I want to call her lantern though.
She glows a LOT as her darker scales accent the bright light and her fins make her appear to always be glowing.
I know she has a few buddies I'm working on drawing too.
Some faces of a skywing boy.
My swimming guy is fully colored. The glowing fin tips were a little difficult but look good. I'm thinking that for ease of animation I won't draw the luminescent scales until they are actually lit up.
Working on a seawing animation loop. Here is the sketch.
Lil guy so silly. He swim. Still not super confident with the tail but I'm not fixing it soooooo ....
FISH! Maybe adopt??? ADOPTED!!
Thinking about making adopts soon. I want to make this guy an adopt but I don't really have a name yet. If someone wants him you can have him. He's free.
This is the fish I based him off of. A blue gourami. Not my photo, the name is in the bottom of the fish picture.
Little toad guy! Rescued a toad from my grandma's pool. Thought it's colors were pretty and drew this guy.
Sometimes I am a little unsure of my drawings. I want them to be the best I've ever drawn, but my skills aren't usually up for the task. This little guy is a reminder for myself that my art doesn't have to be amazing, it just has to be fun. And I did have fun.
Redrew an adopt I got from @sinusoidaldysfunction.
This was the guy.
I really like this guy. One of the things I struggle with the most in art is color. Color just doesn't make sense to me so I found that working with a color palette someone else gave me was a lot of fun.
Edit: for got the at on the original makers name
There is a new animation competition being hosted by cloud kid. https://cloudkid.squarespace.com/bad-meme-competition
I'm a big fan of these competitions even if I don't do so well on them. Though so far I'm pretty proud of this loop.
Been making a few too many head shots. Thought I'd share a fully body render.
Not a character, just some more practice with colors.
Not sure if I've said it before but the thing I struggle with most when it comes to art is the color palette. I just don't have enough practice with it.
This guy isn't really a character, just a different angle I wanted to practice. I love night wings with green undertones. But the detective character I made with the browns surprised me with how good the colors look.
Wanna show off how my progression to achieving the design I intend/want for my Creature Commandos OC.
Initially her mix match of human body parts with that of an insect is heavily based on the one from the Fly 1958 and she was more moth like because well slight mothman inspiration. She also had no mouth similar to a Luna Moth to really show she is physically unable to speak up for herself and her troubles.
However I then finally had a more clear idea of what I wanted to go for with my character and changed accordingly, which led to my traditional doodle of her I did on paper that is posted.
But even now I’m still trying to figure out how to make her face realistic to that of a drain fly. I think I am getting there though!!
first attempt at digital art in a while, working on getting back into the swing of things ✨
Maybe some wip
Omg chuuya ayyy
I didn't draw much for 2 weeks, art block is bitting my ass again
This is all for now
Not me art dumping again after remembering my acc here °v°
