Curate, connect, and discover
A new bagde appears during Harry's fourth year, one he is willing to wear ;)
When he entered the empty classroom, Cedric was already there.
His gaze stopped at the badge on his chest.
"Now I feel bad that I'm not wearing one with your name on it. I didn't know that… we would do those things. I think I could get one with your face on it."
Harry chuckled, a little embarrassed because it just read:
THE HUFFLEPUFF OF YOUR HEART.
Yes, that was Cedric.
At least the twins hadn't used his image.
Not that it wouldn't be nice… On the contrary…
"Please, no. Not one with my face on it,” Harry requested with an amused smile. "You've been defending my name these weeks, I've heard it. You shouldn't have. You could've turned people against you," he said and continued before Cedric could get a chance to reply. "This way everyone knows that I support you. It's like a statement. And well, I do too. It's something I would have done anyway. Support you and wear one of those silly badges."
Cedric muttered a thank you and Harry sat down next to him on the desk.
"I wouldn't want them on my side if they're against you."
With his knee against his leg, Harry looked up at Cedric and wished with all his heart he could kiss him while he managed to carry on a conversation as if he wasn't dying inside.

How much I wish I was any good at drawing to make this badge real. But well, art is art.

"Sorry. This... I don't…"
Cedric hugged Harry immediately, wrapping his arms over his.
Harry shifted on his chest, adjusting his glasses with one hand while holding onto Cedric's robes with the other. Then he also placed it on his back, hugging Cedric back tightly enough. Considering that they had kissed once, Cedric thought that this was more out of friendship. The thing was, he liked Harry a lot and he didn't know what was right or proper to do anymore.
His judgment was dubious, confused and blurry when it came to Harry.
Still, none of that would stop him now.
"I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you," Cedric murmured into his hair, resting his cheek on top of his head. "I thought you might need a hug,” he explained when they pulled away several minutes later. "I think I should've asked before."
“Of course you can hug me."
Cedric barely resisted the urge of doing it again.
"I needed it. Thank you,” Harry continued and sighed. "This was not what I expected. You should be the champion… I'm sorry, Ced. That I…"
"You didn't put your name. You do not have to apologize…"
"No one will believe me."
The certainty in his voice as he said it.
Cedric wanted to deny it, but he didn't know.
“And they're not going to find a way to get me out of this. A magical contract that I can't break and things like that," Harry repeated the conversation he had with the Headmaster and the others. "Dumbledore has tried, but… I'll have to."
"You won't be alone," Cedric assured, barely holding him by the shoulder. "We will do this together. What do you say?"
"I say… I'm not familiar with the rules yet, but it doesn't sound like it's within them. Karkarov was quite upset that there were two of us instead of just one."
How could he tell him how much he didn't mind “cheating”?
"I guess I'd call it teamwork. We may be alone in the field, but not out of it. You're my friend and I'm not leaving you because of any kind of rule or anything like that, so we're in this together," he said and as he escorted Harry to his common room, Cedric had a couple of ideas that he shared with him: training sessions for the two of them, practice spells and accompany each other.
He wouldn't abandon Harry on his own.
"Yesterday you offered to help me if I was ever in trouble," he recalled, suddenly slowing his pace. "And here I am, way too soon... You were right. I didn't change my mind about that, but… This time I'll accept it."
"This time you can't refuse."
Harry chuckled softly.
One last hug and he passed through the portrait.

Harry and Cedric
"And I have to patrol tonight," Cedric continued. It was the first time it had sounded like he was complaining about his prefect duties, something Harry would often do if he was in his place. “I don't know how I'm going to keep from falling asleep…”
"What do you do on those nights?"
It was also the first time he had asked him a question about it.
Suddenly, he was more than interested.
"Patrolling the halls... Touring the castle... Getting bored, yes, that's what I do."
Harry laughed and wanted to know several things:
1. Have you ever caught a student outside curfew?
( Yes, but they don't always get punished, I must admit. I'll let them go... as long as I don't find them again.., Cedric answered.)
2. Have you ever bumped into Filch? Because he's not what you'd call nice even on the best of days.
(Cedric was a bit embarrassed to admit that… Prefects try to avoid crossing paths with him as much as Filch does. He doesn't appreciate patrolling the same floor… Bad job, according to him. )
3. Can I keep you company?
That last question seemed to take him by surprise.
“I know it's not within the rules, but I'll keep you awake.”
Cedric remained silent for a few moments.
Harry was sure he was looking for a polite way to say…
“I would really like that.”
He held back a smile.

I want to keep posting my favourite moments here <3
Ao3: Always Yours
Dude I'm reading 'the boy I love' and finally got past the bit I got to in summer (it's nothing against your fic that I stopped, shit got busy lol). Let me tell you I WAS NOT READY for Malcolm's little speech to Cedric in ch52. He's my favourite character and this scene just captures the exact reason why.
Also, tbh what he's saying is what I feel about my best friends. I love your representation of the fact that you can love someone so damn much and have it not be romantic. Getting into a relationship isn't a 'level up' from best friends, it's a completely different thing and you can love your best friend just as much as your partner.
Knowing that people come back to my work o reread it makes me feel so honored.
Malcolm is my favourite, I have said it before and I will never get tired of saying it. He is highly inspired by my best friend, and their friendship is so like the one I have with her. She was actually the one who taught me the meaning of true, deep and real friendship and I am so happy you have that too. It's not always easy to find.
I just love that both Harry and Cedric know how important their best friends are to each other and don't feel threatened. And how Harry and Cedric's friendship had always been a little different.
Just thought I'd leave this here lol.
-Average novel: anywhere from 60k to 100k words, over that is usually seen as too long
-Your always yours fics: 258k words and counting. The boy in my dreams alone is 61k.
Fun facts:
1) I inicially thought it would be a short story. I was so wrong. I can't for the hell of it write short stories, I don't know why. Except if it's poetry. I am such a sucker for anything romantic ✨
2) Like I know it seems like a super slowburn BUT it's so long that we get so much and I love it. I kinda miss writing The Boy In My Dreams, even when The Boy I Love feels so sweet too in a different and still wholesome way.
3) I wanted them to be a couple for at the very least the same amount of chapters they weren't together. I always wish for more relationship content. (And even funnier, they decided when it was about time, not me lol Harry and Cedric's love is so strong it goes againt outline.)
4) It's not over yet! I am not sure how many chapters are left, but just knowing it's not that far is both exciting and sad. It has been such a ride and there is so much more to happen.
Thanks for the message! I wonder how many words will it be, but at the same time I have more plans for them lol
If you see me smiling at my phone, no, I am not in love. I'm just reading a hedric fanfic.
At breakfast, all of his closest friends and a few others at the table greeted Cedric. Along the letters in the mail, he found some of his friends who had already graduated, his father and some distant relatives he saw every couple of years —and Harry's.
An excited heartbeat skipped on his chest.
Cedric read some of the letters right there.
His father's, Harry's...
He stopped at every word.
Ced, I hope you have a great time today.
I know that I will see you in person and I also plan to say hello, but I wanted to write to you.
I hope it's not weird or something.
I wanted you to know how much your friendship means to me and I wasn't confident in letting you know if I had to say it. I know I'm not the best friend anyone could ask for and I'm sorry. You’re important to me. I don't know if you know how amazing you are, and I don't mean all those things I've heard people talk about you. Yes, most of them are true, but I'm talking about the sides I know I've been lucky enough to know, all the things you told me about yourself and every secret you've confided in me.
It has been a privilege to bump into you that day. Thanks.
Or should I thank my own clumsiness for it?
Adore you, Harry.
Merlin.
He was falling so hard for this boy.
And Cedric could still feel that… he hadn't even hit bottom.

Ao3: Always Yours
In the afternoon he approached Harry, who was standing with Ron and Hermione, and asked to speak in private. They headed for the gardens since the weather was still nice and it was the perfect location to discuss such a difficult matter to bring up in the first place.
"I don't usually do that kind of thing," was what came out of Cedric.
Harry tilted his head curiously. “What do you mean?”
"Kissing my friends."
His direct answer made Harry look away instantly. “Neither do I. I’ve never…”
"Was that your first kiss?"
"Did you notice?" he muttered, embarrassed.
It wasn't that Cedric had thought of it for any particular reason other than the suspicion that if someone had kissed the famous Harry Potter, he supposed it’d be known. And that Harry was, after all, younger than him and had never expressed any interest before.
"I wasn't sure," he admitted, not wanting to make him self-conscious. Cedric wasn't an expert by any means. “But it was good.”
That may not have been part of what he had planned to say.
“I kind of only got kissed by a Dementor once, so that was a big improvement.”
Cedric laughed at the joke, blushing.
That was Harry's way of agreeing too.
He wanted to tell him how he felt…
He wanted to tell him that he wouldn't mind kissing him right then and there again.
But he couldn't do it. If Harry didn't feel the same way, he wasn't sure they would manage to stay friends the same way. And even if Harry liked him too in that way, it might not be enough.
"I wouldn't want what happened to turn things weird between us. I think I misunderstood the situation… I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable.”
Apologizing was something he was good at.
The detail was that it was not in relation to kissing him.
“You didn’t.”
“Really?” Cedric questioned, remembering how he himself would say something similar when it wasn't completely true. “You can tell me.”
“No, it was fine. It didn’t bother me."
It hadn't bothered him.
What could Cedric say to that?
"That wasn't your first, was it?" Harry asked.
“No, it wasn’t.”
But it was the best.
"I didn't know you had dated someone before.”
"Oh, I've never dated anyone. Those were disastrous occasions,” he blurted out, suddenly realizing that it might sound bad. “Not that this was.”
Maybe it was, in the sense that he was messed up on the inside.

Part 3 - hogsmeade date version!
[Warning: it's from chapter 45/46]
Harry and Cedric visit every store at Hogsmeade together, brushing hands while nobody is watching. In an nearly deserted corridor, Harry places his hand in the back pocket of Cedric's trousers —and Cedric can't stop grinning
Cedric giving Harry his Hufflepuff scarf so he doesn't get cold 💛💛💛
Harry placing a hand over Cedric's leg under the table at the pub while they're talking to their friends
You would think these chapters couldn't have anything more but they do!
Ao3: Always Yours
He couldn't tell who hugged whom first.Â
Standing in front of the fireplace, they melted into each other in a way he hadn't known possible. That unfamiliar feeling carved a path inside Cedric that he knew he would take frequently from now on. A mixture of peace and storm at the same time, one of those that devastates you in its path and nothing is the same ever again.Â
The order did not matter, because after that prior conversation so…
Intimate and not at all reassuring, it was all Cedric wanted to do.
Unable to move away, he held on tightly and closed his eyes, letting himself be carried away by the lightness that filled him when feeling Harry's hands behind his back, encircling Cedric with his head in the crook of his neck. It seemed acceptable to say goodbye like that: the limits of their friendship had expanded, as if they had leveled up.Â
Acceptable for one minute.Â
The side game where Cedric had his heart in his mouth and so many trapped emotions was another matter.
Two and he stopped counting.
The pounding in his chest was all he could make out as Harry stepped back a few inches. With his face so close to his and his big green eyes watching him with an intensity he could only think must match his own, he heard him murmur his name.Â
“ Cedric. ”
Like a whisper.
A warning.
And maybe it was because all summer he had Harry in his head.
Because he couldn't escape that bubbly feeling all night.
Because he would have sworn that Harry Potter was about to kiss him, Cedric leaned in an instant, breaking the short distance between them. Harry’s lips were so soft against his, warm and the pressure of his hand on the fabric of his shirt, as if Harry was holding on to him…Â
Cedric had never felt like this in his entire life.
Trembling, alert and lost at the same time.
Each movement ignited a sensation that grew more compelling. That was the way Cedric would have ever imagined his first kiss. The need that came with each one caught him off guard and it might as well have been ten minutes or ten seconds before Harry pulled away for air.Â
Then they looked at each other.Â
What had they just done?

Part 3
Harry, however, remained standing by his side.
“Do you need help?”
"Yes, please," he admitted, both embarrassed and worried that his face would be red from rubbing so much. And that was only half. “I can't take it off.”
"Did you suddenly have a change of heart?" Harry asked humorously, taking a piece of paper and dunking it slightly under the water.
That made Cedric laugh.
"Although the presentation of Bulgaria was interesting, no," he answered, stopping for a moment from trying to wash his right cheek to look at him. “What about you?”
"Always with Ireland, but Krum..."
“He’s really good.”
Harry nodded as he brought the cold paper to his other cheek.
Cedric stopped himself from taking a step back in surprise.
How had he thought Harry would help?
"This is kind of stuck to your face," he said with a frown and apologized for rubbing too hard. Cedric smiled, making the pressure build up. “It seems that it’s starting to fade.”
"My face will be red."
"More like orange," Harry pointed out. “Better than green.”
Cedric had seen his blond Slytherin classmate in the stands earlier. Draco.
He must have told Harry something, surely...
"You would make a good professional seeker," he commented, erasing the small frown from Harry’s expression. “Would you like to be one? Is that how you imagine your future?”
"No," Harry muttered immediately. “I don't imagine it like that.”
“Then how?”
"I guess I can't picture it at all."
They were silent for a few seconds.
Harry tossed the paper into the trash can and prepared another.
"Sounded a bit depressing, sorry," he admitted, starting to clean Cedric up again. Cedric was slightly leaning towards Harry. “Professional seeker sounds pretty good to me. And you?”
“I’ve never considered a future in Quidditch.”
It wasn't a secret or a confession.
“I could tell. You're good, but it doesn't seem like your style. The Ministry, perhaps? Like your father.”
"Maybe," he replied, thinking that this would hardly be his style. “Maybe some department… where I can make a difference. But I don’t think so. I think I would like something more related to medicine, helping people. Work in a wizarding or muggle health foundation. I don't know.”
The only person with whom he had shared this was Malcolm's mother, due to her work and evident knowledge in the muggle area. Harry's expression was one of complete interest and no trace of judgment, which relieved Cedric because he was afraid someone would think it was a bad idea.
Especially someone whose opinion he would appreciate.
"That sounds more like you."
The way Harry looked at him as he said that...
Their eyes focused on each other, his hand over Cedric’s face.
So close, and the warmth that invaded Cedric everywhere.

I needed to post one of my favorite fragments (I have a lot of them, I know ha)
Why I am such a sucker for scenes that take place in a bathroom?
Part 2
Cho offered to paint their faces with the colors of Ireland just as she had done to hers. Harry didn't hesitate to nod and stood still as she brushed his face and held his chin for stability.
"All yours," Harry instructed as he rose from the seat, freeing it.
Cedric wasn't convinced, but he sat down.
The paint didn't seem like one of those that irritated his skin.
"You're adorable," Cho told Cedric with a big smile when she finished. A little shy all of a sudden, she added, "Both of you are.”
"Would you have painted me even if I supported Bulgaria?"
Cho laughed at Harry's indiscreet question.
"Yes, but it wouldn't have been my best work."
Harry's gaze fell on Cedric's face, studying it carefully as he recognized, “It does look really nice.”
The rosy hue, however, was not part of the Irish flag.
***
Along with Cho, they made it back to the Weasleys' tent just in time for all of them to head out into the woods towards the stadium. Ginny and Luna had the team colors painted on their cheeks. Harry entered just for a moment to grab the items he had bought for tonight.
He came out wearing all that, as if he were a walking flag.
Cedric covered his smile. He looked so adorable —and funny.
“Want one?” Harry handed him a green shamrock rosette. "I think I'm a little loaded."
"Sure," he said, stifling a laugh.
He took the brooch and clipped it to his coat.
In the same place where Harry had his, identical.
Part 1
His father embarrassed Cedric when the topic of conversation he started upon meeting Harry was about the match they had played against each other, and he completely put aside Cedric's part where he established how their victory wasn't fair. He insisted that the best man had won, and words that once might have made Cedric feel validated now pained his expression.
"I'm sorry, my father…”
"He's proud of you," Harry said, not looking upset at all. “So you're gonna tell your grandkids about that match?”
“If I end up having those.”
"I imagine it as: children, Grandpa should tell you that once... a long time ago, when you weren't born... I beat Harry Potter in the most unfair way possible... and nobody let me correct it."
Cedric burst out laughing.
“Sounds pretty close to how it would be.”
"I would be honored if you tell your grandchildren about me."
“I'm sure most people will.”
Harry shrugged as if replying yeah, but still.
"If I had to tell them about a match, I'd prefer it to be a better one," Cedric admitted, somewhat intimidated because he suddenly thought that he would say: your grandfather was not only a friend of Harry Potter, but he had a little crush on him! Unrequited, of course. And there was the fact that he couldn't imagine a woman with whom he had children in the first place. “This year we’ll play on opposing teams again.”
"It will be difficult to play against you."
It didn't sound like the reason was his incredible flying skills.
"Would you let me win again?" Cedric teased sweetly.
"Only if you catch me if I fall again."
The subtle pressure on his chest was because he definitely would.

Ao3: Always Yours
"I miss Hogwarts," Harry blurted out, unable to avoid his wistful tone.
In all the letters he had written in that time, he had never admitted it.
Cedric remained silent for a moment.
"Not exactly Snape, I must confess," he continued with a joke, self-conscious.
"It's like home to you, isn't it?"
Harry didn't write that because he knew people would feel sad for him, just as he thought Cedric did.
He was embarrassed to answer yes.
“I miss Hogwarts too. My friends. And you.”
The other feeling Harry had…
It would last much longer than a call.
——————————————————————
Ao3: Always Yours
So I finally decided to start posting cute fragments from part two 🤍
And of course Harry says “I miss you too.”
Once the cloak was over his head, the last thing Harry expected was for Cedric to reach out for him, much less to throw his arm around his shoulders and walk together like that. Between the weight of the cloak and Cedric's delicate pressure on him, Harry was having trouble breathing. He tried to form a mental picture of how they must look from the outside, and he checked all sides to make sure no one else was in the forest.
Then he offered to let him get under the cloak. "You're tall, but I think we fit in," Harry made room for Cedric, who hunched just enough for him to cover both of them. “Are you comfortable?”
The smile on his face was an affirmative answer.
Cedric looked in all directions and, as they continued walking, he straightened up and supported all the weight on his own. As if it were an umbrella in the rain, Harry was sheltered between the soft arm behind his head and Cedric's chest that at times crashed against his back. “This is incredible. If it wasn't for the fact that I feel like I'm under a sheet, I'd totally forget that we're invisible.”
"Trust me, when there's someone who shouldn't see you, you gladly remember you are," Harry replied, laughing.
He couldn't see Cedric’s expression but he could sense his tone. “Have you used it many times?”
Impressed, surprised.
“A few. With Ron too.”
Wandering around with his best friend was nothing compared to being with Cedric and his scent that filled the small space. Harry was being really careful not to trip over the cloak or bump into him, but all his efforts disappeared as they seemed to match their steps while talking.
"You've never been caught," Cedric stated, slight amusement in his voice. “I don't know if I want to ask why you had to use it in the first place.”
“No, you definitely don't want to know. You might have to report it.”
"I would never report you."
There wasn't an ounce of doubt.
"Unless I was in danger," Harry said, smiling to himself when the silence proved him right. “Hermione’s like that too. You two have a lot in common. I bet you’d like her.”
"I would tell you first," he declared, suddenly unsteady in his steps. “I bet I would.”
Harry couldn't imagine someone Cedric wouldn't like.
Or someone who wouldn’t like Cedric.
He was so…
He had no words.

AO3: “The boy in my dreams” (Chapter 12)
Cedric's fit on his shoulder was delicate and firm. Harry was aware that this must be awkward, but he felt more at ease than he thought he should be. The tears had stopped the instant he leaned against him and stayed that way for what seemed like a long time. He wasn't sure how weird it was for Cedric. No emotion could be sensed on his behalf, other than his soft breathing. Harry figured Cedric wouldn't show signs of anything besides courtesy and kindness.
When Harry reluctantly pulled away to face him in embarrassment, Cedric did everything in his power to make the moment pass as if it hadn't been a big deal. The relief he experienced at this was indescribable. That ability Cedric had to make him feel comfortable must be the reason why he was so popular.
Why someone, anyone would want to spend time with him.
Harry was in no rush to leave that space in the middle of the forest.
As if they had the whole afternoon ahead of them, Cedric settled with his legs spread out under the dim sun that filtered through the branches of the trees. "It's nice to see you somewhere other than on a gurney, hurt."
The thought that he wasn't the only one enjoying being there made Harry relax against the ground. Every one of the sensations he had experienced during the minutes he had been in Cedric's arms, with his head on his shoulder, remained etched on his body. It was as if the touch hadn't ended, because he could still feel that pressure and warmth all over.
As if he was under a spell.

Ao3: “The boy in my dreams” (Chapter 5)
A dim light led him to where he had seen Harry a few hours ago, with a curtain that was now providing him some privacy.
"Harry?" he called out. His voice echoed throughout the room, even when he intended it to be a whisper. "Are you here?"
Cedric peeked behind the curtain, finding Harry scowling with one eye open. His head on the pillow turned to look at him, and he seemed confused. And exhausted. The circles under their eyes shone like the shadows that surrounded them.
"Sorry I woke you," he apologised so quickly he felt foolish. Because it was clear that Harry had been asleep. As much as it was clear that he needed to rest. “I didn't think you'd be sleeping.”
That brought a smile to Harry's face.
"What did you think I'd be doing?" He sat down and, after putting on his glasses, he looked at the time on the clock that was next to the bed and the only light on. “It's half past one in the morning.”
Harry sounded so amused it was strange.
Oddly enough, Cedric hadn't even stopped to think that Harry might have been sleeping. Or how late it was. Or that he shouldn't be wandering around the school at those hours. It was not allowed, and yet he had not hesitated to do so. Not even considered it.
So strange that none of it mattered.
He was just happy to see him.
One night on a prefect’s patrol, Cedric talks to someone who sounds just like Harry under his invisibility cloak. But it isn’t him. Not really
So time travel, but a Harry from a different timeline shows up
Cedric and Harry are boyfriends, but the new, somehow known and unknown older Harry has a mission that concerns both of them
I guess you can anticipe the rest haha
Probably predictable but I love the time travel trope and I haven’t read one like this
FUTURE/PAST HARRY KISSES PRESENT CEDRIC. Yeah, that’s the first idea I had and I am totally writing a whole long fic just for it to happen
I’m already half there :)
May this count as a spoiler? But there is so much more
Part 1 (completed) is a much needed introduction and build up, with a lot of cute Hedric moments. Here’s the link:
Part 2 (work in progress) is when the plot really starts.
I love Cedric Diggory. Not only because he’s georgeous (insert Taylor Swift song) but he is also in some way a version of a popular boy, but make it good. He’s nice and a Hufflepuff. What is there not to love? Good boys didn’t use to catch most eyes in fiction. I remember the bad-boy era.
Pairing: Cedric x Harry
Ao3: “The boy in my dreams” (Chapter 2)
“You have… Umh, quite a few fans. Admirers," he pronounced, looking at Cedric out of the corner of his eye before assuring, "Girls really seem to like you.”
Cedric raised an eyebrow, impressed by so many reasons. First of all, the vast majority of students supported Harry. Since he had been chosen as a seeker in first year (an incredible achievement), he was without a doubt the star. And he had a good winning percentage. People liked to gamble on winners. Cedric might be popular but he was no sports star. He meant to tell him that, but…
He had something better to ask.
"What about boys?"
Pairing: Cedric x Harry
Ao3: “The boy in my dreams” (Chapter 2)
If only it could have been improvised, rather spontaneous instead of planned… but there was no other way he could pull it off. When Cedric ran across Harry in the corridor, he wished him good luck for the next day's Quidditch match in a very casual comment, as intended. Cedric felt quite nervous about playing against Harry and really wanted to be friendly. He had been waiting for an opportunity to talk to him again and refused to let their second meeting be on the field, on opposing teams.
It suddenly occurred to him that perhaps that could be easily misunderstood. He could only blame himself, since that was all he had been able to think of in advance, and now he was afraid he had sounded ironic or like he wanted to pick up some sort of fight.
People didn't go around just wishing luck to their opponents.
But Cedric really meant it.
Perhaps Harry could tell because he got closer with a smile.
“Thanks,” he said, walking next to Cedric. “Are you going to be there?”
Cedric wanted to stop, not knowing where he was taking him. The reality was that he had been wandering around aimlessly, no way expecting Harry to start a conversation. Cedric nodded in response, turning down the hallway to the left.
Maybe he did have a direction after all.
"Supporting your house, of course," Harry continued. His voice sounded warm, cheerful, not seeming at all nervous about the match or for talking to the opposing team.
"I will always support my house," Cedric replied confidently, and couldn't help but add, "But between us, I'd rather support Gryffindor than Slytherin."
That didn't come as a surprise to him. Okay, it was almost common knowledge. Most students from other houses would choose Gryffindor under those conditions.
"What if it's Ravenclaw?"
Harry was grinning. Why did Cedric realise that every time? He frowned a little, considering it. Sure, in that case he would be watching Harry play, but he had always been supportive of Ravenclaw.
"I have friends in Ravenclaw," he admitted, kind of embarrassed for not telling him that he would support his team. “So it's a clear conflict of interest.”
The answer must have caught him off guard, because Harry opened his eyes and looked away. Was it his imagination or had that somehow sounded… suggestive? It hadn't been his intention. Cedric didn't used to act like that and definitely did not usually think of backing a team for a boy either, but deep down he knew he would root for Harry from now on —even if he kept it a secret. What harm could one more secret do, especially when his green eyes haunted his dreams? The least he could do was follow him into his games.
So I really wanted to write an Hedric story.
Started off as what I thought would be a short one…
My wish list was:
Unexpected place for their first kiss
All the semi canon (?) moments, like the prefects bathroom ;)
Oh I love so much the goblet of fire trope I-thought-it-would-be-you-under-water in the second task
An epic kiss
Time travel because why not?
Pairing: Cedric x Harry
5th and 3rd year
AO3: “The boy in my dreams” (Chapter 13)
"See you soon," Cedric said as he passed.
Harry didn't manage to answer and just stared at him for a brief instant, unable to open his mouth. He even turned his head in the direction he left, as did Ron. "Why would he wish you luck? After what happened at the match?”
"We were on good terms after that," Harry explained, feeling a little guilty for never mentioning Cedric before. “We talked a few times.”
The puzzled expression on Ron’s face needed no words. “Are you two friends ?”
Harry shrugged. "I don't know, maybe.”
"Cedric Diggory," Ron was muttering unbelievingly as they resumed their march. “And you. Friends.”
In truth, Harry didn’t blush this time.
The size of the smile he wore for the rest of the day was too big for him.
He was partly glad Ron hadn't noticed.
What would he have said then?
