I have an idea for a short story about a girl who is taken by the Fae, sort of like a changeling situation. She eventually gets back to her realm, but discovers that much more time has passed than she thought while she was with the Fae.

I have some areas of the story planned out, but I’m trying to figure out how to end it 🤔💭

My Changeling Queen! Her name is either going to be Queen Aphid or Queen Odonata. Kinda leaning towards the former.

I wanted to give her more of a yellowish color palette, but I think I’ll still adjust slightly, don’t want her looking too much like a chrysalis redesign.

In terms of personality, she is a bit different from chrysalis, she genuinely cares for her hive and they are her children. Though she is just as ruthless about her rule and her conquest for her children. She doesn’t collaborate with other hives of her kind, as is typical for changelings. They are like bees after all, they stick to their own hives business for the most part ( and every pony else’s when comes to maintaining their food source). they definately get their nose in the Ponies business, politics, etc etc.

Doing some villain/monster design for my Mlp prequel. Here’s an average changeling hive! At least what an average hive looked like in pre-equestrian times.

not sure on my queens name and the colors. Still a WIP. Playing around with the changelings origins, perhaps they were created with evil magic? In this I don’t plan for them to be able to be reformed like in the show, at least not on a massive scale and with a transformation.

These guys work as an average bee hive would, with the expecting of their diet. Diet consists of meat, magic, insects and very occasionally plant matter. Positive magic and emotions ( which are intrinsically magical in nature, good or bad) are the most substantial and is what allows them to transform themselves, so it’s a vital part of their diet, other foods are optional
