Hi, I'm Alice ( She/They) I mostly draw OCs as well as TTRPG related stuff. I don't post post much, but I'm trying to.

As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse. It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms
As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable. As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.
Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.
⁂
Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.
www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.
www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.
https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.
www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.
http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.
www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.
www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.
www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free

Some visuals to go with my rpg horror story I posted on reddit.
I was trying to figure out why I got attached to this guy so much and I think It might have been his sense of perseverance. I always put a bit of myself into my characters and his struggles reminded me of my own when I was younger, when I was getting bullied by people I thought were my friends while dealing with the things my family put me through.
His core is the survival instinct people have despite even their own brains working against them and it's something that shaped me as a person as well.
Weirdly enough when I made this chart I was surprised that the art I make is influenced by my own emotions. Shocking I know. Like bruh the colour was literally sucked out of it! How did I not see it?
A Child of Wind and Stars - May 2023
The Rebirth - March 2023
This started as a vent art At this point in the campaign I was going through a depressive episode and what was supposed to be a turning point in my character's journey made things even worse and things didn't get better even after the story ended. So it was both a vent for me in my personal life and for him. He became a character through which I could explore my self image issues, but it kind of got ruined for me. ( However I was so attached to him at this point I found a different group and gave him a fresh start with a new name, and modified backstory. And so far it's going well. I didn’t want to end this rant on a negative note. )
Second attempt at Cirrus - November 2022
He got turned into a pretty boy yay! The previous design didn't match his personality at all. At this point he's still a sorcerer, but that changes later too.
First Concept Art of Cirrus - March / May 2022
Later renamed to Ze'hir and become a completely different character cuz i changed his design too many times but the original still held potential.
Dang I was on a roll posting a bunch of art but then depression got me again :/
I'm Alice, neurodivergent, a relic of the late XIX, very ancient, almost 30 I mostly draw things I like which happen to be my OCs / D&D characters, they make me happy and tbh I don't often feel like drawing anything else. I used to draw fanart a lot but those works never felt like mine, it did help me hone my skills through. I stopped posting and deleted all my stuff years ago for mental health reason and I kinda want to come back to sharing my art with people.
My interests:
Dungeons and dragons
Character design
Favourite anime: Princess Tutu ( I don;t have the energy to keep up with new stuff and I'm tired of shounen/isekai)
Music taste: all over the place
Aesthetics: elves ( especially drow) , skeletons/undead, lolita fashion, romantic gothic
My changeling detective from a Curse of Saltmarsh campaign - March 2023
" Eat Your Heart Out " December 2021
From December 2020
More of Finch from February 2021
That feeling when The Barbie Movie wrote a better matriarchy than Gary Gygax ever did.
Another sketch vs final.
Thanks to this character i got so much better at drawing skulls over the years
First portraits of Finch from October 2020
Finch character design progression November 2020, April 2021, July 2022
One of, if not the favourite character I've made. He was a big part from my own setting, that was meant to be a comic, which I hope I will still get to make one day. I modified him a lot so I can use him as a pc in a dnd game to develop his personality more and well the rest is history. I love this funky little dude
When the cleric goes wooosh, Febuary 2022
Older and cooler version of this little dude His switched from celestial warlock to cleric after some character development, as well as getting sick new tatts, which were a nightmare to draw and design.
Sketch vs Final, June 2021
My drow wizard / celestial warlock at the start of the campaign.
Here is him with the whole party during a boss battle
Another Dnd party art, this time from December 2021. I made it to commemorate the finale of a heavily homebrewed Curse of Strahd game. It was the first campaign I've ever finished and we had a successful sequel after.
D&D Party Portrait March 2022
From our Tomb of annihilation campaign. The game fell apart from various reasons but I still play with most of the group.
Pixel art of my dnd party I made in may 2021.
I finally finished designing my obnoxious, yet stylish watermark! Now I just need to edit all my works ( again) and run them through glaze.
It's hard to come back after years of being offline and the current art climate isn’t making it any easier with the a/i bullshit and all that. Not posting any of my works was an important step to fixing my relationship with my own art and part of me is afraid once I start making my works public again, my mental health will get worse.
