Finally finished my Dead Boy Detectives fic!

It's just fluff about Edwin and Charles. The boys took control over my head I can't write or read anything else.

Warnings: none. It's just fluff.

Word count: 2,000 words.

Relationships: Edwin Payne/Charles Rowland, Edwin Payne&Charles Rowland.

Summary: After the hell confession, Edwin tries to refrain from touching Charles, to not make him feel like he's overstepping the bounds of a normal friendship.

Charles, that loves touch, is sick of it. And confronts Edwin what's going on?

(Including kissing and cuddling later).

Or basically just Edwin tries to stay away and Charles pulling him close.

(Very fluff no plot).

The people that are Fizarolli fans from Helluva Boss are also Charles Rowland fans I said what I said.

Edwin probably had a deep technological shock when he came back.

I imagine myself Charles the 80s boy is teasing him for not getting along with technology well (teasing affectionately, of course).

Crystal the gen z is laughing at both of them.

I know most of the DBDA fandom probably thinks at paineland at the trope of "x fell first, xx fell harder" is Edwin falling first and Charles now falling harder; because Edwin was obviously shown first to express his feelings.

But consider this-

Charles falling in love with Edwin slowly a little more every day, falling a bit deeper for him every day they spent side by side.

And at some point later- Edwin is crushing hard. Realizing "oh shit, I love him-" and falling hard in a chaotic storm of feeling he doesn't know how to deal with, he's a complete mess.

Idk, I personally prefer the second version more but both options can be great interpretations of their dynamic.

A conversation I had with my friend while they were watching dbd ep 4:

My friend: (learning about Charles' backstory) oh god did that boy ever had a happy day in his life?

Me, meaning it with all of my heart: anyday that Edwin was there.

Me realizing a few moments later: oh wait in his life? So no.

Dead Boy Detectives's fanarts artists- where are all the fanarts of Charles wearing a skirt?

How did people got "a straight guy rejecting a gay guy" from "I can't answer you right now but we have forever to figure it out" Charles Rowland I'll never understand.

The face Charles makes when Edwin told him the bell hurts them. Crying. You can just see the realization that he hurt them and that is what the scream was. You can see that guilt on his face. He doesn't want to hurt them but he did and he hates it
