It's been hundreds of years and you've been reincarnated so many times that you lost count but you remember everything.

You watched as the times became more modern. Everything changed but you.

You tried not to interact with people if you didn't have to but one day you saw a boy running, in your direction, down a mountain with a girl on his back, she was injured.

As the boy got closer to you there was a very distinct smell that filled your nostrils.

It was Muzan's scent.

The smell was still so familiar even after centuries.

You followed the scent, going in the opposite direction of the boy. It didn't take you long to find the source.

"Excuse me?" You whispered lower than you meant to but he still heard you.

Muzan whipped his head around.

"Y/n?" His voice had grown deeper and his eyes held a bit of emotion that you almost recognized as your dad.

"You know who I am?"

Muzan walked toward and when he was close enough he pulled you into a hug.

"Of course I do. How could I forget my own child?"

"You acted as if I was an afterthought while you pretended to be human with another family. Another Child."

"I missed you so much."

"Whatever"

You hugged him back.

Muzan whipped his head around.

"Y/n, my sweet sweet little girl." He engulfed you in a hug, you tried to pull away but he was too strong. "I did everything I sought out to but it brought me no satisfaction, I realized you were the reason I wanted to do anything at all. I did everything for you but got lost along the way."

He held you as he poured his heart out but you weren't listening. You were still mad, the hundreds of years that have passed only made your anger fester.

"So what do you want me to do about it now. I felt abandoned, I tried to talk to you but you were always in a bad mood."

"He's not gonna wake up, y/n. You should know this by now." Your mother said, her face held a gentle smile as she watched you continue to shake Kyojuro, almost in vain. He finally woke up.

He chuckled as the first thing he saw was you with a determined look on your face.

"Good morning, Y/n. What's got you so worked up?"

"You were supposed to be up already." You complained, "It's already noon and you said you were going to take me to Uncle Tengen's AT noon."

Kyojuro sat up and out of the corner of his eye he saw Reticent(😏) leaning on the door frame.

"Ah, my love, you let me sleep in?"

Reticent walked over to her barely awake husband and brushed his hair out of his face.

"Yes, seeing as you just got back from a mission I wanted you to rest a little longer." When she was done talking, she leaned in for a kiss which he gladly accepted.

"EEWW Stop that." You groaned and covered your eyes, running out of the room while yelling at Kyojuro to get ready so you could go.

"You heard them. It's time to get up Kyo." Reticent kissed his forehead before following after her daughter.

"Hurry up Dad." You said, dragging him down the dirt path to Tengen's house. He just smiles at your enthusiasm.

After a good ten minutes of walking. You and Kyojuro walked around to the sideyard to see the family of 4 enjoying the day.

"Y/N!" C/n screamed as they saw you and your father round the corner.

"Ah Kyojuro and little Y/n, you both finally made it. I was beginning to wonder if you were even going to show up."

"Look at how big you've gotten." Suma gave you a big hug and was nearly in tears. She was so glad for her kid to have a friend they could grow up with.

"Suma let the kids play." Makio got you out of Suma's grasp.

Kyojuro didn't get a word in before you were dragged off by C/n.

"As flashy as ever huh Kyojuro." Tengen laughed patting Kyo's shoulder and offering a sit with them.

"What do you want to play first?" You asked as you both were a little ways away from the adults.

"mmmm... Maybe TAG-" C/n tapped your shoulder and ran before you could react.

"Cheater!" You ran after them.

It was clear that both of you had been training cause you were way faster than any normal child.

He found you staring at the flower themed mobile. He cooed at you as he picked you up.

He had you in his hip while he took a walk around the castle letting you see each demons domains.

You babbled as you played with the buttons on his best.

"My Lord I didn't know you had a kid." Douma commented, seeing him walk by.

"I Don't."

"Please stop pulling my hair." Kokushibo said while grabbing your hands that were tangled in his long locs. You were standing on one of his legs while he was sitting.

Once he got a hold of both of your hands you started to dance

"Yeah, that's right dada. Can you say it?"

"Yeah, I'm dada." His blew raspberries into your cheeks.

You giggled and squirmed.

You giggled as he tickled your stomach before sitting you on a soft pillow next to his own.

You always sat next to him and his followers came and visited.

It's been days since you've been back and your father has you on watch with his most trusted demon, Kokushibo. Currently you and kokushibo were outside of the castle 'having a breather' as he would say.

"Koku, What happened to Akaza?" You asked as you followed through the darkness, He never said where you were going but you knew you were safe with him.

"I don't know." Was all he said as he kept his eyes forward.

"What about Douma?"

"Who knows."

"Daki and Gyotaro?"

"Red light district."

"Is that where we're going?"

"No."

"Then where are we going?"

"Wait and see." He flashed a small but rare smile. That smile quickly went away as you asked more questions.

It was like you were playing 21 questions and kokushibo's patience was gone.

"Enough questions y/n." He stopped walking and you almost bumped into his legs. "We're here."

You peek around his legs and instantly your face lights up.

"A FLOWER FIELD!" You screamed in excitement and took off running through them. It was as far as the eye could see. There were many different flowers, roses, poppies, lilies, salvias, and more. The night sky dulled the colors but you could see each different shade.

"Don't go to far, this place is home to civilians. I don't feel like killing tonight." He chuckled at your excitement.

"OKAY!" You screamed back at him with the biggest smile.

"And don't be too loud." He added as he watched you have the time of your life.

You played for hours with kokushibo. You put flowers in his hair. You convinced him to help you make flower crowns for the other uppermoons.

You made a Boquet for your father with every kind of flower you could find.

'he might not like it but I'll give it to him anyway.' You thought as gathered everything to get ready to leave. The last one you picked up was for Akaza, a flower crown with pink and blue flowers.

You hadn't seen him since you've been back. You that he's at the castle but you can never find him, you wouldn't find out about any meetings until they were over.

Whenever you mention it to Muzan he dismisses you.

"C'mon y/n the sun will be up soon." He held his hand for you to take as the both of you walked back to the castle.

The Kamaboko squad and Obanai were in on a mission in a small village, a family had gone missing. Two kids and the parents with a demon also appear around the same time. (Obanai was forced to go)

"There's a demon nearby be careful." Tanjiro warned Zenitsu and Inosuke.

Inosuke scoffs and says, "You don't have to tell me that I'm always more careful than you."

"That's great Inosuke." Tanjiro beamed. Inosuke didn't know how to feel about it and he didn't have time to figure it out before a raging demon came at him.

He dodged and cut the head off just in time. If he weren't the great boar king, he might've died.

"I found something!" Zenitsu called out. Inosuke and Tanjiro were quick to follow were the voice came from.

They found Zenitsu sitting with his back turned to them. He was cradling something in his arms.

"Is everything alright, Zenitsu?" Tanjiro asked cautiously approaching the lightning slayer.

"I don't know." He turned around slowly with you in his arms. Your eyes we're open and bloodshot and tears were pouring.

You had a cut on the side of your head that was healing in humanly fast.

"Everything feels weird" You croaked out.

You definitely weren't human anymore.

"Give them to me." Obanai finally broke his silence. Zenitsu didn't dare to disobey and handed you over to him.

Obanai took you to Shinobu thinking that she could help you. She couldn't and told Lord Ubuyashiki about your existence.

The corps leader summoned all the hashira to decide what to do with you.

"I'd say kill him. He hasn't killed anyone but who's to say he won't." Sanemi said without even seeing you.

You were hiding behind Ubuyashiki and his children.

"Don't be so harsh obanai, you haven't even seen them yet. Would they like to come out." Shinobu cooed. Afterall you were just a child.

You gripped the back of Kagaya's kimono.

Kagaya's son, Kiriya, patted your head, "It's okay, your safe here." He whispered and gently pulled you from your hiding spot until you were seated in front of him.

You looked at the new faces spotting Obanai, the only familiar face, and darted off towards him, not caring about the sun.

Since he adopted you, he had noticed your fear of losing people you were close to. A clear example of this was when you wouldn't let anyone leave the house without you and vice versa. This mission that Rengoku was on was going to take at least a day to get to the station. Kyojuro patted you on your back humming a tune that his mother hummed to him and continued on his way to drop you off with Senjuro.

Broken ribs, a busted eye, and almost completely exhausted. Rengoku was not doing so well, this fight was definitely one of the hardest for him.

The moment he was able to stop and take a deep breath, he did and it hurt. He closed his good eye and relaxed, and image of your crying face popped into his

The sun was coming up.

As the sun touch Akaza's skin he winched and kicked Rengoku away from him. He ran into the safety of the trees, taking Rengoku's sword with him.

The flame Hashira laid on his back as the trio surrounded him asking if he was okay.

Rengoku didn't respond instead, he just smiled.

Muzan with a child reader (around 7 yrs), who always gets lectured (for being naughty or doing something stupid lol) and gets their ear pulled by muzan. And maybe reader answers back a lot, but muzan doesn’t hurt them too much because he still loves them. (Thought this would be cute and thank youuu!)

The only time you're not being constantly watched is when your father is in the middle of a meeting with the upper moons. He told you to stay put in your room but when have you ever listened to him.

Hello! Can I request the hashira's meeting us again after we went with akaza + muzan when he found out we meet them again. If you don't want to do this request tho that's fine. (Sorry if I miss spelled anything)

You found a way to sneak out and come back without anyone noticing. You would ask Muzan for a day to yourself in the flower room and of course, you wouldn't go there, instead, you would go to Tengen's estate as soon as the moon came up. After a while, they started to expect you and leave out food if they decided to go to sleep early.

Sometimes you would talk to Gyomei and Genya while they were about to go in for the night. Giyuu was always busy so you barely ever saw him, but Shinobu hardly ever slept. She reminded you of your father, the way he would slave over test tubes in hopes of finding something that was seemingly impossible.

Mitsuri and Obanai were rare to find but when you did it seems like you would find them together more after the death of Rengoku. Muichirou is your favorite to go by, he treats you like a little sibling

he may be a demon but he isn't heartless, he is more intact with his human emotions than anyone else

he could tell that upon your return you were different

Normally you would get on everyone's nerves until Muzan stopped you. You still did that but there were moments when he would catch you staring off into space

You also started talking to him less

He knew you would leave almost every day and he just let you. He couldn't bare to take another punishment from Muzan plus you attitude improved everyday

He is your father above all else, he wasn't just going to let you go but at the same time you making a bond with the Hashira could be useful down the line

He didn't like the idea of using his child like that but if it meant the both of you could be immortal than he would do anything

He would have a demon follow you until you got into any estate

He turned around and ran to you, he was just about to pick you up when a sword went through his chest. He ignored it, grabbed you and ran.

Hanafuda was shouting. You didn't want to look back because you know you'll see Rengoku's body.

You just cried into Akaza's chest. That's all you could do. You cried until you fell asleep.

Akaza was livid not because of you, in fact he was glad you decided to come back, but because of Hanafuda. He had no other choice but to run, the sun was coming up, couldn't he see that?

"It's alright, I'm not mad at you." He said as he rubbed you back and continued on his way to the infinity castle. He knew you were asleep but it still felt good to say.

You woke up in your room, on your bed surrounded by a multitude of pillows. Everything was the same as when you left it, at first glance at least.

Slowly you got up and looked around.

It was like you were in another dream, nothing seemed real yet. Even though you didn't have much time with Rengoku he taught you a lot. He was the first human death that you experienced.

Walking around your room, you notice yourself in the mirror. You looked the same, but something was clearly different, you couldn't put your finger on it.

"I know your up Y/n." Your father said as he opened the door. (A/n Why do parents knock if they're going to open the door without permission anyway)

"Father. I'm so so sorry. I'll never run away again, I promise." You ran to hug his legs but he didn't hug back.

"Y/n look at me."

Doing what he said you look up at him with tears forming in your eyes. He kneeled to your height.

"You cannot put yourself in harms way like that. I don't care what you wanted to see when you could've died. You will be by my side until further notice. Do you understand?"

To Akaza his speech meant nothing but to you, it opened your eyes even wider. You already knew that the human was fighting for their lives against the demons but the conversation between Akaza and Rengoku showed you the big difference between demons and humans.

i was wondering if you could do rengoku headcanons where the reader (gn and child, age 4-7) is kinda like giyu (quiet, doesn't talk much, introvert, etc) but extremely clingy and doesn't know how to talk to people other than rengoku?

(plus meeting giyu if possible, making him the readers second dad maybe)

"Y/n it's time to wake up." Rengoku gently shook you awake with the quietest voice he could muster.

You started to stir as he picked you up and brought you to the common room for breakfast.

Half awake, you tried to not fall face first into your food.

Contrary to popular belief shinjuro is soft when it comes to you.

"Sorry father I should've woken them up sooner." He said with the widest grin he could muster. Seeing his father handle his child with such care was enough to make his heart burst.

"Yeah you should have."

You are your father were going to a get together at tengens house. You didn't know weather to be excited or nervous.

Walking up to the estate you hide behind your fathers leg as he goes up to tengen.

"Ah Rengoku so glad you could make it and who might this little one be." Tengen knelt down to your height as your father stepped out from in front you.

You looked up at rengoku expecting him to say something but instead he urged you to.

"Hi, my name is Y/n." You said so quickly and quietly that he could barely hear you, even with him being the sound hashira.

"Nice to meet you Y/n. I'm the flamboyant sound hashira, tengen Uzui." He introduced himself as his wives came behind him and did the same.

"I'm hinasturu, his wife."

"Makio, is second wife."

"I'm Suma, his last wife."

It was clear that you had no idea how to respond and it was only making you more nervous.

Thank goodness Rengoku's eyes we're still functional as he noticed your worried face and picked you up to meet the others.

"Good job little one. You did just as we practiced, I'm so proud of you."

He ruffled your hair as you giggled.

"Both child and father souls as pure as snow." gyomei praised the both of you as you approached.

After a brief conversation that you weren't paying attention to your father moved on to another group of people.

You recognized two of them. Shinobu and mitsuri but there were three men you didn't know.

"Ah the happy family, how are you both." Shinobu say and rengoku handed you off to her.

You didn't mind.

'We are doing fine. I thought today was a great day for all of you to meet my child."

You waved as they all said there hellos.

You were never one for talking especially when it's people you don't know so you quietly listened until shinobu but you down and let your roam.

You were starting to get hungry and spotted a table with all kinds of food. But you were interested in the onigiri and sweet potatoes.

Walking up to the table you realize it's much higher than you expected but you weren't going to give up when you were so close to what you wanted.

You tried climbing. Fail.

You tried pulled on the cloth. Fail

You were about to stack things to reach before you were stopped but the water hashira.

"Do you want some food. " he said.

You nodded and pointed to onigiri and sweet potatoes which he provided. He got some for himself too.

"Your rengoku's kid right." He said.

You nodded.

"I'm giyuu tomioka. Nice to meet you."

"Nice too meet you too."

The both of ate in silence. But it wasn't awkward. You felt like you can talk about anything with him, and so you did.

The rest of the day you spent around giyuu he answered any question you had about anything.

He reminded you of your dad. So kind.

"Y/N IT'S TIME TO GO." Rengoku called.

You turned to giyuu and tanked him as you ran off to go home.

That night you wouldn't stop talking about the great day you had.

Rengoku was glad that you were getting out of your comfort zone and talking to new people.

Giyuu held you in a way that you weren't visible unless he moved his haori.

"Papa are we there yet?" You asked getting impatient and heating up.

"Almost"

He sat criss cross with you in the space in between still covered by his haori.

"Giyuu are you alright you look a bit... Tired." The love hashira hesitantly said.

"I'm fine it's just" you popped your head out "I'm not used to being a parent."

Mitsuri instantly fell in love.

"Aww their so adorable. I didn't know you had a wife." She said while taking you from his lap and hugging you.

"I don't their adopted." Giyuu replied bring the water pillar to tears.

"What a kind soul."

Everyone's eyes we're on you as were being held by mitsuri, but you didn't like the attention.

You wiggled out of her arms and wobbled back to Giyuu lap.

"Ah giyuu how could you hide them from us." Shinobu teased but Giyuu didn't care he was to busy thinking about how you chose to come back to him even though you had everyones attention.

A few weeks have pasts and you have been bounced around from Hashira to Hashira so the 12 kizuki won't find you and so far its worked.

You liked all of the Hashira but your favorite was Giyuu and Obanai. You liked how Giyuu didn't know how to take care of you so he let you do anything you wanted. Obanai hates you, you know that and love to 'bully' him.

For the next 2 weeks you will be with Rengoku. With Rengoku you felt like an actual child, it made you miss father even more.

currently the flamboyant (in in tengens words) Hashira was picking you up from the butterfly estate.

"Y/n, it's time to go." Rengoku called as you said goodbye to Shinobu who sent you off with a smile.

It sent chills up your spine.

The walk to Rengoku's house was mostly silent but you broke it with a question.

"It's been a while and I haven't even seen a demon do you think father doesn't care about me?"

His eyes widened as he thought of an appropriate answer (if they could). It was awkward to say the least.

'Probably should've stayed quiet.' You mentally groaned at the heavy silence.

"Your father strikes me as the strategic type, from what I've heard about him, he might be waiting for the right time. When your father does come for you..."

You drowned out his voice as you felt yourself tearing up. You missed your father, you missed the 12 kizuki. You'd run if you could but you didn't want to worry any of the hashira.

"...BUT I'M SURE HE LOVES AND MISSES YOU DEARLY."

Well, that got your attention.

"lets change the subject. Are you excited to go on a mission with me. We are investigating a train that is said to have a demon on it." He picked you up and threw you into the air making you laugh.

"YEAH."

He took you to his house to get ready. Shinjuro didn't let you in and watched you intensely from the front door.

"ALRIGHT LET'S GO Y/N."

On the way to the train you go. Rengoku was good company, he never treated you any differently because you were a demon. In his eyes you were still a child.

Akaza had no idea how he was going to get you back and Doma wasn't helping in the slightest (obviously).

Doma laughed at his outburst further angering Akaza to his boiling point. Akaza was mid jump before kokushibo caught him.

The kakushi that had found you decided to bring you to Kaguya's estate. You had no concept of time so you had no idea how long it's been since you've been gone.

Surely you father has noticed by now and is on the way to get you.

Once you reached you destination you were thrown into a room, you thought you were in by yourself.

Shinobu kocho. Butterfly hashira, shes not strong enough to behead a demon but her poison kill them.

She started to unravel you as you took in her features. You've been around demons all your life, it was weird to see such 'different' features.

"What's your name?"

"Y/n kibutsuji." You said as she finished unchaining you.

"Ah you have a monster as a father how is that like?" She asked.

no way she called your father a monster

"f-Father isn't a monster. He's intimidating." You got extremely defensive like you would pounce on her at any second.

If it were any other demon she would've killed you by now but since it was you she thought it was cute.

"Aww did I offend you I'm sorry to break it to you but your father is a monster." This time she said without a smile, looking you dead in the eyes.... She was scary.
