Hear me out on my list of everything that I want for the upcoming sequel of Ocean's Trilogy that they said in pre-production:
STOP FORCING DANNY AND RUSTY TO BE HET. THERE IS NOTHING STRAIGHT ABOUT THEM! Homies don't stare each other like they wanna eat each other (yk what I mean.)
I hope this one will be set in casino but instead of boring Las Vegas, we are going straight to Monaco. Even better when you think about it; it has Casino and is in Europe. Basically a perfect mix of Ocean's Eleven and Twelve. Also I'm daydreaming to see the casts on yacht again like they did during Cannes film fest 2004 lol.
We need Toulour back, probably this time he is going to be the additional person in the team.
I want the plot to be revolving around Danny faking his death, why? Because well, hehe, might be funny if Danny and Rusty were secretly retiring together and coming back for this last heist to end their criminal activities for good or they might be just bored. But all Ocean's Trilogy heists happened for good reasons so I hope they make it complicated as the predecessors.
I need more intimate conversations between Rusty and Danny. We also need to know their backgrounds and stuffs because although headcanons that writers and fans made are great, I need some closure because they talked like a pair of mind readers and we just like to assumed things (the worse thing is that all of our ideas fit so well with their dynamics.)

I’ve been back on my oceans kick and does anyone else think it’s cute that in the beginning Danny asked Frank “Do you know where he is?” You would think with the newspaper he’s reading he would be talking about Ruben, but Frank is like “ur bf is in Vegas go make hot and heavy eye contact” and they flirted over poker????? And everyone shipped them so hard except for Linus who was having a sexuality crisis while simultaneously having an authority crisis.

Honestly, every single fic about Danny/Rusty (Ocean's Trilogy) might just be the most beautiful thing to ever exist on this planet. I mean, George Clooney and Brad Pitt are already some of the most stunning human beings to ever walk the Earth—no one even comes close. (Pitt was the first of the two to grace PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive cover in 1995. Clooney followed in 1997 and 2000, and then Pitt made a legendary comeback in 2006!!!)
But I swear, the words that Ocean's fanfic writers craft about Danny/Rusty are even more exquisite than the actors themselves. No, I’m not exaggerating. You’d understand if you ever let yourself fully absorb and appreciate the sheer beauty woven into their writing. These works are filled with deep psychological character studies, layered with scenes where the two of them explore each other’s bodies after pulling off history-making heists.
It’s the ABSOLUTE PEAK of everything. Or honestly—if there’s a word beyond “peak,” that’s what it is.
Their words have the power to reach straight into the heart of any reader—like a path of flowers leading gently toward the deepest corners of the soul, like cool spring water flowing through the mind.
There is no such thing as a bad Danny/Rusty fic—no matter the tone, length, or style—has something special to offer. I’ve never been disappointed. Every single one is a gift. I love every bit them (Seriously. I might end up quoting the entire fic because every line made me feel SO MUCH emotions).
As someone who’s read, reflected on, and mentally archived a considerable number of Danny/Rusty fics, I can say this with full pride: this fandom, though it may be a tiny grain of sand in the vast ocean of the internet, is truly one of the most precious things out there—a place where fanfic writers are among the most gifted, most intuitive, and most emotionally literate creators I’ve ever seen.
