Started drawing Darth Maul but I’m too lazy to finish, plus it doesn’t look that good
I drew Darth Maul :3
(Lightsabers aren’t the best, might re-draw him)
Dad Maul discovers the joys of fatherhood
Anakin has TWO DADS CONFIRMED!!!
Okay, so.. I was looking for Darth Maul black series figure and, well........I found this beautiful “Kylo Ren” figure xd
Okay but hear me out: What I mean in particular is that Maul in episodes 10 and 11 of S7 is the embodiment of gen z.
- has been telling people about the impending disaster that will tear apart the world and is trying to warn them
- trying to overthrow the government
- ready to throw hands at any given opportunity (or pick them up if we remember that one scene)
- sass
- clearly not straight
- this:
(Gifs belong to @mlmanakin I think, correct me if I’m wrong please)
And of course:
- dramatic as fuck
Feel free to add to this xD
So am I the only one wanting to cry and grin the whole way through the new clone wars episodes? Like Obi Wan appears and I want to squeal but at the same time I wanna cry because for fucks sake that man is so sad and has gone through so much why do you have to do this to him?
And Anakin seems so happy and enthusiastic and he smiles at obi wan and I have too many feelings about this.
Also very hyped for Maul because he is an amazing character. It’s gonna be epic. (And sad)
And then there is Ahsoka... and I’m crying even more. Someone help
The fact that obimaul isn't a more popular ship makes me crazy. How do more people not see it.
They're narrative foils. Maul survives a killing blow because the thought of Kenobi kept him alive, and what is obsession but a mirror of devotion? Obi-Wan is the master of defense and Maul is the master of offense. Obi-Wan's first and last kill of his life is Maul. The trajectory of their lives is extraordinary similar until the Same Duel sends them shooting off into opposite directions and defines them both for decades. A duel that teaches Obi-Wan the feeling of revenge that will haunt Maul the rest of his life. Obi-Wan was the apprentice who was never wanted. Maul was wanted too much. Obi-Wan overcame his trauma, but Maul never could. Both rebellious by nature, forced into the mold of the Perfect Example of their respective orders, and yet they have the same failing - Maul, desperate for companionship from ANYBODY, and Obi-Wan who struggles with his attachment to the people he loves. Both forced into exile by the same man who destroyed their lives and orders. They've hurt each other in unimaginable ways and yet understand each other like no one else can.
"The only one allowed to kill you is me" but isnt that just another way of asking live for me? Who is your rival but your purpose? Is there not a tenderness in the eyes of your worst enemy who has seen you at your absolute lowest and still needs you to get back up? Because without you, what are they?
Idk I'm stuck on "sithballs"
fanfiction and wishful thinking aside- is Maul canonically asexual? Post chop? my limited research told me that libido greatly diminishes once the sithballs are gone
if anyone has any headcanons feel free to chime in
A little extra, here is the concept art I did for the Zabrak brothers’ outfits :)
Oh, by the way!
Here are my two pages for @untoldstoriescwzine :) I guessed I made myself wait on this one but I felt like it was more excited to let the mystery last a little longer ;)
My take on the Untold Story is that Maul and Savage deserved more screen time together and thus I decided to create a small exchange over Maul preparing his revenge on Obi-Wan during his (short) time of ruling Mandalore. And, of course, that included reminding people of Feral and Savage having trouble remembering his life pre-transformation but still having remnants of feelings he had felt once.
Yes, it’s angst, my bad.
Remember to check out the leftover sales btw !!

"As The Force Wills It" by Shut-Up-Ginger (AO3)
He scowls in annoyance, at least realizing it's a joke, because they really don't need to start a fight over Eeth's morbid humor. “Are you people taking them or not?!”
Where Maul decides to save his brothers from their fate on Dathomir and take them to the Jedi Order for shelter.
Listen. I love this AU,,,

Also this absolute madlad of a Plo-Koon was late for the meeting and is hiding his pyjama underneath his robe
I love to draw bc I can do this and it will be okay
just some maul sketches, I’ve been obsessed lately…
I love the clone wars trio bc I see them all as different commentaries on the Jedi of the time.
Obi Wan is what the Jedi were.
Anakin is what the Jedi preached against.
Ahsoka is what the Jedi should aspire to be.
Obi Wan had the best of intentions: he wanted to save Anakin, to save Satine, to save Ahsoka. But in the end he failed due to Sith scheming. He was set up to fail, wether it be his dead master or the intergalactic war he was forced to fight in. And in the end Anakin did fall from the light, Satine was killed in Maul's quest for revenge, and Ahsoka walked away. He was a well-intentioned man with a good heart who was ultimately set up to fail by the Sith.
Anakin too wanted safety for his loved ones, but he took it to far. Instead of prioritizing those people, their wants and needs, he prioritized the way they made him felt. Instead of selfless love, he loved selfishly, which is exactlaly what the Jedi are against. They're not against love, they're against attachment. Anakin couldn't let go of Ahsoka: it corroded his faith in the Jedi, sowed seeds of resentment. He couldn't accept that Padme or Obi Wan didn't agree with his vision, because if they don't make him feel good, then they no longer love him. Anakin was a kind boy twisted by the Sith and his misguided attachment to others.
Ahsoka falls into a similar category as Obi Wan, except for one detial. She walked away. She recognized that the Jedi were unintentionally loosing themselves in war. And even through she was a spectacular warrior, a talented commander, she recognized that it wasn't supposed to be her job. She was able to let go of her attachment to Anakin and the 501st. She was a product of her masters and friends, of Obi Wan, Anakin, Padme, and all the others who influenced her growth. And even in the end, when her world fell, she still acted with compassion and understanding, which is exactly what a Jedi should be. Despite her discomfort with the twisted meaning of the title, Ahsoka embodied the fundamental traits of a Jedi. Not flawless, but an empathetic peacekeeper capable of embracing love and rejecting attachment.
Idk if I'm articulating it right, but the general idea is there.
No, no, no, no, NO! Tech is NOT dead and you can’t convince me otherwise!
My proof you may ask? Well here you go…
Dr. Hemlock, while talking to Hunter, claimed that Tech’s broken goggles were all he could salvage. The shattered goggles had no blood, no crimson stains, and getting cut by glass will stain the glass with blood. Agreed? Also Tech was wearing a helmet when he fell, and his goggle are strapped around Tech’s head. How would his goggles come off his head and be the “only thing salvageable” if they were on Tech. Tech has also jumped, been pushed around, and fell several times in the series, but his goggles had never come off once. He has never even taken them off, just adjusted it from time to time. Hemlock also is known to be a liar, as shown that he never intended to take Omega in exchange for her brothers, but capture them all. A likely explanation for Tech’s goggles being found is that either he had taken them off, or had it taken away, or it had actually fallen or washed away from him.
In prior films and shows, characters have been shown to survive impossible situations, like…
Gregor (Clone Wars/Bad Batch)- Gregor survived a large explosion while saving the D-Squad. He promised to make his way back, and he did. While the odds of survival were unlikely, Gregor has reappeared in The Bad Batch with no casualties.
Echo (Clone Wars/Bad Batch)- Echo also survived an explosion with the cost of his legs, arm, and several body systems. He was taken as a Separatist Prisoner by the Skako Union and was used for experimentation and a weapon against the Republic. He was saved by Rex, Anakin, Tech, Wrecker, Crosshair, and Hunter, and survived and is in The Bad Batch.
Fennec Shand (The Mandalorian/Book of Boba Fett)- Fennec Shand was found dead by Boba Fett from a gut-shot blaster wound. She was brought back to life by replacing her damaged systems with mechanical ones. This allowed her to be perfectly fine and make an reappearance later in The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett.
Darth Maul (The Phantom Menace/Clone Wars)- Maul was sliced in half by Obi-Wan Kenobi and then presumed dead by everyone. He reappeared to seek revenge roughly 11 or 12 years later, with new mechanical legs.
Anakin Skywalker (Revenge of the Sith)- He had his legs and arm cut off, and then was burned by LAVA. Survival chances were impossible and yet he survived to become Darth Vader, feared Sith Lord.
As an enhanced clone with an Exceptional Mind and Skills, Tech would either be able to survive the fall and escape, or he has been captured by the Empire. Why would Dr. Hemlock waste a chance to unlock more “scientific knowledge” by leaving Tech to die? Why not take him as a hostage like Crosshair and Omega? Hemlock did want to take the rest of the Batch for questioning.
Even if Tech has been captured for an Imperial experiment...HE IS ALIVE. He has a chance. I know it. I’m probably just ranting into the void, but I’m suffering for one of my favorite characters- OK?
Revisited my punk Maul and Ventress designs from some years ago <3
Some doodles I had done during my hiatus from the internet that I almost turned into stickers, but never did because I am very lazy lol.
