hordak is such a ridiculous man because my brother really came out here with the COOLEST fucking entrance and he was genuinely being set up as such a scary and threatening villain
like look at this he actually looks so fucking cool when we first see him. i honestly thought he was going to be our main villain for the entirety of the series.
but then we see him interact with entrapta and then the realization suddenly hits that not only is he the most awkward person ever he's also just turned into like WifeGuyā¢ the second entrapta talks to him.
absolute fucking loser i'm just obsessed with how hard he tries to just act like a normal villain; like he has the scary armor, the dimly lit lair and throne, even his voice sounds scary like.
he even has his own weird little minion and whatever the fuck shadow weaver is. generally, his whole scary vibe and plans for world domination set him up as a proper villain, but then he meets entrapta and all of that just CRUMBLES and is tossed out the window.
10/10 i'm a fan of the progression.
More She-ra 40k ideas:
Catra is the perfect example of a Felinid, not anime cat girl but not full furry she's a perfect example of what I think a felinid would look/act like. Human reasoning and strategy with feline agility and physical attributes.
Catra would also take on a few Felinids recruited from either a local gaurd regiment and/or most recently conquered planet and train them to be Adora's and her own person bodyguards. Hidden in the shadows like assassins ready to flay whatever get past Adora's honour gaurd.
Entrapta would annoy, argue, and fight the Mechanicus so much that they stopped coming to help Adora's Legion and won't train their tech marines anymore. Entrapta is then stuck doing repairs(and upgrades when she wants) while also trying to teach the tech-marines. This leads to Adora's legion, the best equipped legion despite having no direct ties to the Mechanicus.
The Librarians of Adora's legion instead of being trained by magnus and the Thousand sons are instead trained by Glimmer or return to Etheria to be trained in the ways of Etherian magic. Thus leading to a very different philosophy and approach to the warp.

catra has trouble sleeping alone, she is prone to nightmares. entrapta has trouble sleeping alone, she gets big anxiety about it and sleeps poorly. entrapta tends to sneak around so shes sleeping in the vents of where other people are resting and they get used to this presence. some people welcome it, those hardest of sleep who donāt mind the sound of snoring.Ā
anyway catra and entrapta are able to recognise this in each other, so when adora is away, and entrapta is hit by theā¦ unexpected need to sleep, they nap together. starts off with sharing a communal bunk in the space ship, evolves into actual cuddling.Ā
they love this state of affairs. it is far easier to relax.Ā
It's hard to know what to do to help your pals. Sometimes it's enough to just be there.

Guys something happened and im back on my she ra nonsense. Help all my recent tabs are tma fanfic i need to go deep in my bookmarks to pull out the she ra stuff and follow a ton of she ra posters bc its been like two years since i was substantially aware of she ra BUT THE HYPERFIX IS COMING BACK I CAN FEEL IT AAAAGH
Its 12:44 am and iām going to write all my thoughts and theories and you are going to enjoy them
1. Beast island is actually sentient and the reason it makes that signal is because itās achingly lonely and doesnāt want its new friends (anyone who comes to the island) to leave. Little does it know itās forcing its depression upon everyone that visits
2. Etheria and Eternia are actually twin planets, the First Ones are humans, and Eternia is far-future Earth (idk, Earth got a neighbour and then we colonized it? Sure sounds like humans to me). This explains why the First Onesā language is made up of English phonemes and includes English words, and why Adora looks human.
3. Horde Prime used to be an Eternian, a very long time ago. His current form is the result of hundreds of years of incredibly vain genetic engineering and experimenting. He still isnāt fully pleased with his appearance and tweaks his clones every generation in an attempt to find āpurityā.
4. Hordakās ādefectā is a result of this tweaking. Imagine inbreeding, except itās one guy who keeps turning random genes on and off and switching out base pairs to see if itāll make him prettier. Turns out there were some nasty genetic surprises in Hordakās version of the code. As with any other clone that had such genetic conditions, Prime tossed him out in the next major fleet movement without running any analyses first. Running an analysis would force him to confront the fact that he (gasp) made an error!
5. The āgeneralā thing wasnāt actually complete bs. Prime threatening to take Catraās body as his own, was. See, Prime really wants to be this one perfect thing. Why would he waste time being a cat when he could be perfect? He has a special line of āgeneralsā whose sole purpose is to house his mind. They have two additional eyes, the ability to grow those weird chin/cheek spikes, and the capacity to be much taller (all hidden unless he gives them specific hormones in preparation for inhabiting them). All this to say: Hordak might just wake up with four eyes open one day and promptly freak himself (and everyone else) out.
6. Entrapta has been in the center of a lot of explosions (esepcially when she was a teenager and hadnāt figured out the right balance of āpursue knowledgeā to ālab safetyā yet) and has replaced a startling amount of her body with prosthetics covered in a synthetic skin.
7. Hordakās body wasnāt repaired by Prime in season 5. Prime just injected him with a bunch of painkillers (not enough to not be in pain, but enough to function) and covered up the arm holes. About an hour after the finale, the painkillers wear off and Hordak all but collapses. Having a chronic muscle/joint condition + being electrocuted + being possessed hurts. Man, he really went through it, didnāt he?
8. Based on Wrong Hordak, itās going to beā¦ really hard for the clones to get used to being outside of the hivemind. They will form cults. They will make new pieces of technology that will mimic the hivemind. Theyāll scrounge for the chips and try to implant them in each other. They will find and beg (or threaten) Entrapta and Hordak to put back the hivemind. Hopefully people will have enough compassion for them to help them get used to being individuals.
9. All Eternians have the capacity to activate the Sword of Protection and become She-Ra (or gender-correlated equivalent). Horde Prime is, initially, Eternian, based on the other headcanons here, so he hypothetically could. Any clone could. Hordak could.
Wow! I forgot about some of these headcanons! This was pretty neat. Hope you guys like em too. Also I havenāt watched canon in like a year so there might be some inaccuracies, but at some point I figured that holding onto the thoughts until I rewatched canon just wasnāt worth it. And lo and behold now you can see all my random thoughts too!
He has mastered the art of spontaneously appearing in the conversation despite being 8(?) feet tall.
Entrapta, in comparison, tends to drop from the ceiling if she wants to tell someone something.
I enjoy the concept of Hordak defaulting to looming over people from behind. Like, that is how he arrives to start a conversation. He means nothing negative by it; it's just his natural way of inserting himself into a social situation. No matter where he is.
People just see his tall shadow fall over them. They turn around slowly, and there he is. Glaring down at them. Stony-faced. Red eyes glowing. Deeply intimidating.
Only to ask them where the restroom is. Or to offer up the WiFi password he and Entrapta just finished decoding. Or to invite them to Sunday afternoon tea at the Crypto Castle.
