Basically this is if Fireworm and Toothless species looked like they do in the movies, from another short story redraw. (Movie hookfang is a mix of book hookfang, rival MN, and fireworm. Movie toothless is a mix between him and windwalker.) This scene is from a short story where toothless finds some eggs, and has to protect the babies from Fireworm. The text: she hissed at Toothless, looking suspiciously around the room, taking in Toothless’s blackened state, covered in charcoal and goo.

I’m a really big fan of the headcanon that Snotlout has a soft spot for baby dragons. Like man is guarded and angry a lot of the time but put him next to a baby dragon and he’s instantly concerned/fussing over it 🥹🫶
