aw man. everyone was right. rufus stinks. i forgot he was IMMUNE TO ELEMENTAL DAMAGE?? HOW??
plus, i'm going on vacation, and i will not get another opportunity to try again until i get back. he's just gonna haunt me for a week. i'm gonna watch so many videos about hard mode rufus. i'm gonna get him. i am not going to pysche myself out of fighting him. i am gonna get him. he's gonna say "and yet here. you. are." in that stupid tone that i like so much when he summons darkstar. and i'll blow him up.

also i did NOT get the box throwing game my first playthrough... but i had much more luck this time, it only took me three tries :) not. that. bad!!
update on rebirth hard mode: i hate that evil fish. terror of the deep?? who let it trap all 3 party members at once?? fuck that shit and shoutout to enemy skill plasma discharge on tifa, that shit saved my ass.
also i got to see one of my top 5 yuffie moments, where she waves and goes "thank you very much!" and barret mockingly goes, "you're welcome!" they're so dumb i love them. so found family core of them tbh.
