Hazbin Original Character - Blog Posts

Here is the rough draft of one of the alternate personalities for my OC. He is a dog demon, specifically a German Shepherd.

This is personality is best described as a disgruntled cop/detective, who will do anything to solve a case. He’s basically a stereotypical detective: clever, perseverant, thinks outside the box, and definitely has problems with alcoholism and smoking. Imagine those old black and white detective shows combined with Sebastian Castellanos from the Evil Within.

He’s not the most social person, however he knows how to get someone talking through drinks and persuasion. He tries to gather as much information as possible before making consequential decisions.

Here is the rough draft of one of the alternate personalities for my OC. She is dog demon, specifically a Pomeranian.

This is personality has a punk like demeanor, and is considered to be the “party animal” of the personalities. She’s very social and knows how to leave an impression (not always a great one though). The various clubs and bars are her comfort zones.

She always wanted to be in a band, being rather talented with drums and bass guitar, and her singing isn’t bad either; not good but not bad. She can be rather reckless and ignorant towards most, getting herself into a few scuffles.

I decided to lower the number of personalities to 5, and still thinking of names.

Basically when a personality takes control, they get to create their physical body instead of sharing the main personality’s appearance.

This is personality is known to be overly affectionate and loving. She comes off as clingy and has an “innocent” demeanor (mainly doesn’t understand “adult” topics). She easily falls in love and will follow you like a lost puppy.

She craves attention and physical touch, and will do anything to get that. She definitely likes receiving praise and compliments, making her tail wag like crazy.

Still thinking of a name for the characters.

I’m currently working on my Hazbin Hotel Character. I have a basic rough draft of her body, but still trying to figure what she should wear.

Like I explained in a previous post, she has Dissociative Identity Disorder, or Multiple Personality Disorder. Now I don’t know how disorders/illnesses from previous/earth lives work in Hazbin Hotel, but I imagine that it would transit to Hell with the sinner, or changes to a more extreme/supernatural version of it that could effect the sinners powers.

This character has 7 alternate personalities, excluding hers, which are physically attached to her by chains. Below are the list personalities with their “personality traits”, what limb they are attached to, and what dog breed they are.

I’m still trying to figure out names for these personalities, along with backstories. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions for improvement, please comment.

I finally watched and finished the 1st season of Hazbin Hotel, and I absolutely fell in love with this show, the characters, the art style, the story, the music.

Now I want to try and create my own original character for this show. I have some ideas that I want to do, but I want to get more insights and suggestions for what I should do with this character.

Here are the basics so far:

-They were a human that sinned and went to Hell after death (obviously).

-They resemble a dog, still deciding on breed.

-They had Dissociative Identity Disorder during their life. (I want to try and draw characters with mental disorders/illness, so this is where I’ll need the most insight on to make I’m representing them properly).

-The alternate personalities came down to Hell with the character and are attached (mental & physically) to the character.

-Each personality would be a different dog breed.

-The personalities can make themselves visible to others without taking control, but it takes a lot of energy to do so.

-In their full demon, they resemble a huge 5-headed dog demon with varied horns on each head, 4 front legs (arms), 4 back legs, and 5 tails. Each head, tails, and certain limbs portray one of the personalities.

-I’m still coming up with a backstory, powers, and if they should work at the hotel or just occasionally visits.
