âThe moon landing was fake?â Bucky frowned at you from his seat on the bed.Â
âNo-â you snickered at his naivety. âI said people theorize that it was fake.âÂ
In the past few days, you had taken to explaining important events throughout history to Bucky. You had begun to question how much about the world he actually knew about. He explained to you that when he wasn't in cryo sleep, he was only out for a few days at a time.Â
For him, the past few decades have been like blinking in and out of history.
âThere's actually been six moon landings.â You explained. âSo even if the first one was fake, there's been plenty more to make up for it.â
Bucky tilted his head at you curiously. âWhy do people think it was fake?â
âWell, there's a few different reasons. Some people think the shadows are off, and that it must be a staged set. In the footage of the first men walking on the moon, they stabbed the flagpole into the ground-â you explained, waving your hands about. Bucky tracked the movements with his eyes. âThe flag moves slightly, like there's a breeze. But there's no air on the moon.â
âSo why did it move?â He squinted at you.
âThere was a second pole sewn into the top of the flag horizontally, to give it a cinematic look for the images. Or at least that's what they say.â You explained, smiling at the ridiculous theories. âHonestly I have no idea if it was real, anything could happen- something Iâve realized recently.â You picked at the edge of the bed sheet that laid on the floor.
âI never thought there would be people to actually walk in space.â He muttered, glancing out the window.Â
âNeither did I- and I was born after it was already done.â you chuckled. He glanced back at you, his lip curled in a slight smile. You tried not to show your surprise at the reaction. âYouâre so old,â you blurted.
He huffed out a shocked laugh, shaking his head slightly. âI know,â he muttered.Â
âSo, what was it like? Back in the day.â You pushed, trying to see if it would be too far.Â
âWhat do you want to know?â
âWhat did the sky look like?â You asked, your eagerness at his openness not hidden very well. âModern light pollution makes it hard to see the stars. There's places with less light, and the sky is said to be amazing there.â
He blinked at you, not expecting that to be your first question. He relaxed a little, his shoulders slumping.Â
âIt wasâŠâ He hadnât thought about it in a while. He hadnât let himself think of the small things, the peaceful strolls at night, or the music festivals, or the trips to the bars with Steve. âIt was brighter, I guess.â He nodded to himself. âI guess I hadnât thought about it much, but it was clearer. You could see the smaller stars a lot better. Like freckles.â He explained.
You grinned softly, nodding along. âI think thatâs one thing I would have liked to see, back then. People always talk about being born in the wrong generation, but I think I was born at the perfect time.â You told him, still picking at the blankets threads. âBut I would have liked to see the world back then, the sky, the nature. I bet the ice caps were huge then.â
âPeople want to live back then?â He tilted his head at you.Â
âYeah, itâs a personal opinion people have. A lot of people miss older traditions, or the state of society back then. The politics, the economy. Or even just for the clothes. Itâs something a lot of people talk about.â
Bucky squinted, chewing on his bitten lip. âMm,â he hummed in acknowledgment. You could almost see the cogs turning in his head. You realized then, that he probably felt the exact same, in his own way.
The past was his home, and more than anyone, he probably wanted to go back.
But he couldnât. He could never go and see his childhood home, or his family. He couldnât go visit the places he used to, even if he was free to do so.
It was all gone.
âDo you miss it?â You whispered the naive question.
âI wouldnât belong there, even if I could go back.â He turned his gaze back to the window. To the stars. To the sky that was once so familiar.Â
To the one thing that hadnât changed.
â
Bucky sat with his hands in his lap, his gaze lingering on you as you moved around him. âI guess it slipped my mind, with everything going on, but I should have checked a lot sooner.â You mumbled, stepping out of the bathroom.
âWhen was the last time you had a dose of the serum?â You asked, standing before him now.Â
âA few days before Washington.â He told you. You glanced down at the crook of his flesh arm.Â
âAny side effects? Muscle spasms, headaches, shakiness?â you reached a hand out. âCan I?â Bucky nodded, tugging his shirt off in response.
âNo, no side effects.â He told you, setting his shirt in his lap.Â
You took his arm and began gently pressing your fingers to his pressure points, waiting to see if he had the appropriate reactions. You moved up his shoulder to his trapezius muscle. âAny tenderness?â you walked your fingers down, then prodded gently between his ribs.
He shook his head, his gaze glued to the side of your face as you worked.Â
Youâd noticed his staring problem a long time ago. It used to make you nervous- and god does it still.Â
âOkay, hold your arm out to the side.â You waited for him to obey. âIâm going to push down, donât let your arm fall, okay?â He nodded in response.Â
You placed an arm on his forearm, and one on his bicep. You tried a slight push at first- he didnât even budge. You then pushed down hard. Once again, he didnât even shift. Out of sheer curiosity, you tried with all of your strength to shove his arm down. Bucky watched, amused, as you put all your weight on his arm.Â
Your feet left the ground for a moment. His arm acted like a steel pole.Â
âJesus-â you huffed, letting go. âYouâre actually- I mean, wow.â
His lips curled at the edges in a soft smile. âCan I lower my arm now?â
You nodded, setting your hands on your hips. âDid you have to try at all?â
He shook his head, setting his hands back on his thighs. âNo.â
âWell- that's great then.â You nodded, trying not to flush at your outburst of curiosity. âI didnât think youâd fail the test- but it's a necessary one.â You gestured. âUsually, if someoneâs muscles are degenerating, or even just concerningly weak, they canât stop their arms from falling under gentle pressure.â You explained.Â
He nodded, tugging his shirt back over his head. âSo, does this mean your serum worked?â
You nodded, sitting back on the mattress. âI think so, but I canât be sure. It could still just be a temporary fix. It could be working as an annual vaccine type of thing, so the effects might wear off after a while.â
He nodded, his metal fingers fidgeting absently on his knee.Â
âOr it could be permanent. Iâd need to run your blood and do some scans to know for sure.â
âI can accept that.âÂ
âI canât,â you huffed. âI wish I could take you to my lab- or a doctor here- just something.â You grumbled.Â
His gaze flitted to the floor.Â
âIâm sorry, Bucky.â
He straightened, his brows furrowing. âDonât be.â
âI just-â you pulled your knees up to your chest. âI wanted this to mean something.â The solemn feeling hit you quickly, washing over you like a bucket of ice water. You were taken to help him, and if you couldnât do that, then it was all for nothing. Your life was upended, stolen from you, for nothing.
âItâs not your fault.â He told you, his voice softening. âI donât care if it didnât work.â Your gaze flickered up to him. âIf I get sick, then I get sick. Thatâs not on you.â
âItâs not fair.â You tell him.
He tilted his head at you, his expression softening bitterly. âNothing is.â

LPS POPULAR X DABIHAWKS OMMMGGGGG
Uh oh...someone's crashing the party!
Day 1: Modern AU
For the fem dabihawks event on twitter
đđđ chaatttt i love dadzawa.
First post kinda nervous
Summary:
A reckless mistake. A sharp argument. âStop acting like youâre my father!âââIâm not your father.â But the words cut deep, and regret lingers.
At 3 AM, you slip an apology under Aizawaâs door, only to find him waiting. An invitation, a conversation, a long-buried fear laid bare. And when exhaustion takes over, you find yourself asleep in the arms of the one person who never left.
A Flower in the Dark
Before Aizawa, before U.A., before anything even close to a home, there was only survival.
You learned quickly that in this world, there were two kinds of people: those who had someone to catch them when they fell, and those who didnât. You belonged to the second category.
Your parents were a hazy memory, faces blurred by time and neglect. Maybe they had cared onceâmaybe. But in the end, they had left, and that was all that mattered. The streets became your home. Hunger became your companion. And when a villain group took you in, offered you shelter, food, purposeâyou took it without question.
Because what else was there?
They taught you how to fight, how to steal, how to survive. They shaped you into something sharp, something useful. And for a long time, you believed that was all you were meant to be. Until Aizawa caught you.
Until he saved you.
He pulled you from that life, dragging you kicking and screaming into U.A., into discipline, into care. But even now, even with a bed of your own, even with a future dangling just within reach, the past never truly left.
And tonight was proof of that. You messed up. Again.
It had started as something smallâjust slipping out of the dorms, just a quick little excursion, just testing the limits because you could. Because you hated the feeling of being caged.
Then things spiraled. A confrontation. A fight. A sharp piece of metal you hadnât noticed until it was too late, leaving a gash across your arm. Blood, not much, but enough to make your head light.
And thenâAizawa.
He caught you, dragged you back, and now here you were, sitting on the edge of a desk in his office, watching his hands as they worked to clean your wound. His fingers were steady, careful, but his jaw was clenched.
âWhat the hell were you thinking?â
You didnât answer.
Aizawa let out a slow breath through his nose, but the tension in his shoulders didnât ease. âYou couldâve gotten seriously hurt.â
âBut I didnât.â
He shot you a sharp look. âThatâs not the point.â
You huffed, crossing your arms, wincing slightly at the sting in your injured one. âI can handle myself.â
âNo, you canât.â His voice was clipped, frayed at the edges. âYou act like youâre invincible, like no one else matters. Like you donât matter.â
You scoffed. âSince when do I matter?â
Aizawaâs hands stilled.
The silence stretched, thick and heavy. He put down the bandages and met your eyes, his gaze unreadable. âSince the moment I took you in.â
Your stomach twisted. It wasnât supposed to be this hard to breathe.
âYouâre my student,â he continued, voice firm. âAnd whether you like it or not, I care about what happens to you.â
Your fists clenched. It was too much. Too close. The past whispered in your ears, ghosts of all the times someone pretended to care before disappearing.
âStop acting like youâre my father!â The words ripped from your throat before you could stop them.
Aizawaâs expression didnât change. âIâm not your father.â
âI know!â Your voice cracked, something raw bleeding through. âBut do you know that?â
Aizawa didnât say anything. And that silenceâthat unbearable, suffocating silenceâwas enough to make you bolt. You rushed out of the room.
You cried. Not loud, not dramatically, just silent, shuddering breaths curled up in your dorm room.
You didnât know why it hurt so much. You knew Aizawa wasnât your father. You knew that letting people in was dangerous. That caring meant giving them the power to leave.
But despite everything, despite every wall you built, you had started to care about him. And now, you had thrown that in his face. You wiped your eyes with the back of your sleeve, sniffing hard. This wasnât enough. Just sitting here, wallowing, wasnât enough.
You hesitated before grabbing your sketchbook. Your hands shook as you sketched, the lines uneven, a single flower blooming from the page. Beneath it, you scrawled the only words you could manage.
Iâm sorry.
It was past 3 AM when you crept through the halls. The school was eerily silent, the kind of quiet that made your own footsteps sound too loud. The teachersâ dorms were further back, tucked away from the student housing. Aizawaâs door stood at the end of the hall, the nameplate barely visible in the dim light.
Your pulse was in your throat as you crouched, sliding the paper under the door. You turned to leave.
â(Y/N).â
You stopped dead.
Slowly, you turned back. The door was open, and Aizawa stood there, watching you with those tired, unreadable eyes.
âYouâre awake?â Your voice was hoarse.
âI figured youâd come.â
You swallowed hard, throat thick. You werenât sure what to say.
Aizawa stepped aside, wordlessly inviting you in.
For the first time in a long time, you didnât fight it.
You sat stiffly on the couch, arms wrapped around yourself. Aizawa sat across from you, silent as always, waiting.
You stared at the floor. âI donât know why I said that.â Aizawa hummed, neither agreeing nor disagreeing. You inhaled shakily. âI just⊠I donât want to need anyone.â
âThatâs not how it works.â
You clenched your jaw. âIt has to be.â
âWhy?â
Your nails dug into your arms. âBecause people leave.â Aizawa was quiet for a long time. Then, he leaned forward, elbows on his knees. âIâm still here.â
Your throat tightened. âFor now.â, "No, for as long as you let me be." His voice was softer this time.
You blinked hard, looking anywhere but at him. âI donât know how to do this.â
âYou donât have to figure it out alone.â The room was so quiet you could hear your heartbeat pounding in your ears. Slowly, cautiously, Aizawa reached out, resting a hand on your shoulder. And for once, you didnât pull away. Something in your chest cracked open, a slow, aching thing. And when exhaustion finally won over, your head dipped against his arm. Aizawa let you stay there, his hand still resting lightly on your shoulder. He was still awake long after you fell asleep.
And for the first time in years, you werenât alone.

WE STAAAAAN FLUSTERED HAWKS
Part 1
A/N: GUYYYYYS, I am GAGGED. I loved writing this so much, I'll be releasing all parts this week! I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I have! I am a sucker for this man.
Hawks was always a smooth talker, he knew how to ruffle feathers and get reactions from people with his outlandish comments. He thought you would be no different, oh was he wrong. You were about to turn the tables on him.
Pro Hero Hawks x Pro Hero Reader
Keigo Takamiâbetter known as Hawks, Japanâs Number Two Pro Heroâwasnât used to losing.
He was fast, he was smart, and he was devastatingly charming.
At least, thatâs what he thoughtâuntil he met you.
You, who had the audacity to turn his own game against him.
You, who lived to see him squirm.
You, who had him completely, utterly, hopelessly flustered.
And what was worse?
You knew it.
It had all started as a simple game.
Hawks was a natural flirtâit was effortless, second nature. And when you first started working together, he had assumed youâd be just like everyone elseâblushing at his winks, stammering at his smooth lines, melting under his unmatched charisma.
Easy.
Or so he thought.
What he hadnât expected was for you to flirt back.
And not just flirt backâbut do it so much better than him.
It had started with small thingsâlittle counters to his usual routine.
Like the first time he had leaned against your desk with a cocky grin, wings flaring just slightly, and purred, âSo, whatâs a gorgeous hero like you doing in a stuffy old office like this?â
You hadnât even blinked.
Instead, you had tilted your head, dragged your gaze slowly down his frame, and smirked.
âI dunno, Hawks,â you mused, voice smooth and dangerous. âWhatâs a pretty boy like you doing getting all up in my space?â
He had choked.
Actually choked.
And the worst part?
You had just laughed, patted his shoulder, and walked away like it was nothing.
And just like that, the game was on.
The next few weeks had been absolute hell.
Keigo had spent his entire life being smooth, being in controlâbut you had thrown him so off balance that he could barely function.
You turned every single one of his flirty comments into something ten times worseâflipping the script, making him the blushing mess instead of you.
Like the time he had purred in your ear during a mission briefing, âDonât worry, sweetheart. Iâll keep an eye on you out there.â
And without missing a beat, you had turned to him, smirked, and purred right back, âIâd rather you keep your hands on me, handsome.â
He had malfunctioned completely, wings flaring wildly behind him as his brain short-circuited.
You had winked.
And then, as if that wasnât enough, you had walked away, swaying your hips just to taunt him.
Keigo had actually had to take a lap around the building to cool off.
It was infuriating.
It was exhilarating.
It was driving him insane.
The worst part?
He knew exactly where this was headed.
Because this wasnât just flirting anymore.
It was so much more than that.
It was the way you smiled at him when you thought he wasnât looking.
It was the way he watched you work, completely captivated by your focus.
It was the way his heart skipped a beat every single time you touched his arm, his shoulderâanywhere.
It was the way he ached for more.
And you knew.
Oh, you knew.
Because every time his breath hitched, every time his cheeks flushed, every time his wings twitched with pent-up frustration, you would just smirkâas if to say:
I got you again, bird boy.
And goddammit, you did.
Every.
Single.
Time.
One night, after a long day of flustering him to the brink of insanity, you were sitting on the agency rooftop together, enjoying the cool breeze.
Keigo let out a long, suffering sigh, rubbing his face. âYouâre gonna be the death of me, yâknow that?â
You grinned, That usual grin that made his heart soar, leaning back on your hands. âThat a promise?â
He groaned, tilting his head back. âOh my god.â
You laughed, and god help him, he loved that sound.
After a beat, you nudged his knee with yours. âWe both know where this is going, Hawks.â
Keigo inhaled sharply, wings tensing.
Because yeah.
Yeah, he knew.
He knew that you were meant to be his. That was inevitable.
But thisâthis flirty, teasing, ridiculous phaseâwas so much fun.
So instead of agreeing, instead of finally giving in, he just smirked, rolling his shoulders.
âEh,â he said breezily. âMaybe I just like keeping you on your toes.â
You laughed again, and this time, you leaned in, your face dangerously close to his, your lips just shy of touching his own. Finger placed under his chin.
He stopped breathing.
âOh, Hawks,â you murmured, voice low and syrupy sweet. âWe both know Iâve got you wrapped around my little finger.â
His entire body erupted in flames.
And then, with a wink, you pulled back, stretched, and stood up.
âSee ya tomorrow, bird boy,â you called over your shoulder.
And Keigo Takami, Number Two Pro Hero, untouchable flirt, smooth talker extraordinaire, sat there speechless, his wings flared behind him, his body on fire with frustration, his entire soul screaming for you.
He groaned, falling back against the rooftop with a dramatic sigh.He was so, so screwed.

smiles deviously......PAPA! ME WANT MORE MOVIE đ€đ€ /ref
Keigo Takami / Hawks X Reader (eventually various X reader but thatâs if I decide to continue with the burst of inspiration)
If this isnât that meaty for youâŠ. THEY JUST MET LET THEM COOK
Summary: Small light banter for a first meeting between freshly debuted Hawks and an Isekaiâd reader.
Basically after reading copious amounts of amazingly talented stories by amazingly talented writers. âDEPOLLUTE ME, GENTLE ANGELâ by @fallen-w1ngs and Changing History by SummerBlack on Quotev. With âdepollute meâ the author humanizes the pro hero from being just a symbol. Meanwhile with âChanging Historyâ the author introduces an emotion more attuned to feeling real and how life isnât just a cycle that is predetermined. So my dynamic of choice was you as the reader have already been thrown in this world for the first 18 years of your life. If you were put in this world why not do the expected? Become a hero. But if all things are fake why take anything seriously?
If you couldnât gather from that, the reader and hawks will grow and learn that they have the ability to matter and deserve to feel like they belong. I donât have a very serious style of writing but I do try! Maybe not my best but key emphasis on try! Today we delve into YOU! YOUR CHARACTER!
This was all made on my notes app while on vacation đș
Word count: 4280 ish, (idk through editing I added some things)
A blur of red and gold emerged first, feathers catching the sunlight just before their owner stepped forward with an easy, lopsided grin. Hawks, the newly minted Pro, looked entirely unbothered by the attention, despite the sudden chorus of excited shouts.
âHawks! Can you sign this?â
âDude, your debut fight was insane!â
âPicture, please?â
He laughed, ruffling his windswept hair as he glanced over the eager faces.
âMan, you guys really know how to make a guy feel welcome,â he said, grabbing the nearest pen. âAlright, line up nice and neat, yeah? Iâve got places to be, but I canât just leave my awesome fans hanging.â
As he signed posters, notebooks, and even the occasional wing-shaped keychain, Hawks kept that signature smirk in place. Heâd always known heâd make it this farâbut seeing the real, tangible proof of it in the form of starstruck faces and excited voices?
Yeah, this was pretty damn cool.
As the crowd died down, Originally just going to walk away you thought about when would even be the next time youâd see him. Unfortunately since being thrown into this world, the whole concept of canon magnets for main characters was not even a concept in your life.
âYou know, if youâre acting like this right out of the gate, I canât even imagine how inflated your ego will get once youâre officially ranked among the top heroes.â
âSorry, sweetheart, but I have no idea where youâre getting that impression.â You almost felt bad for taking away his moment. The disheveled blonde looked like he mightâve been having a sincere, heartfelt moment.
âItâs always the pretty boys with the massive egos,â you sighed dramatically, looking away. Seeing Hawks in all his glory had to come with a little entertainment, right?
He took a step back, eyeing your UA uniform as if sizing you up.
âMaybe the hostilityâs coming from jealousy?â
âItâs the Icarus trope for meâ you mutter
âSorry?â
You laughed lightly, rolling your eyes. âOh nothing! You sure would think that.â
To be honest, you hadnât meant to bump into him. You were just on your way home from school, with nothing more in mind than a nice nap. Being a third-year at UA in the most boring era of this universe really didnât leave you with much to look forward to.
âI mean, looks like weâre heading in the same direction,â he said, curiosity creeping into his tone as he took another sip from his drink.
âYouâre not wrong, but the flashy vibe youâre giving off? Itâs almost alarming.â
He gave you a distraught look.
âImagine this, Iâm getting saved byâwait, whatâs your name again?â Oh, it wouldnât be impossible for actually knowing him. Sure, he had only debuted a few months ago and the crowd that just left that chanted his name every two seconds would be a sign for his name, but you couldnât help it. In your past life, the sheer amount of content of the show you consumed meant you had to know him but better safe than sorry.
âHawks,â he replied, deadpan, amusement flickering in his eyes.
You couldnât help but chuckle. In response he raised his brow
It probably looked like you were laughing at him, which, in a way, you kind of were. You remembered the draft photos of when his character was first being developedâback when they considered giving him an actual hawk head. The thought alone made you smile.
âPro hero Hawks saves me, and the sheer massiveness of his ego completely blindsides me. Iâm struck by how conventionally hot he is, and then I die in your arms. Yeah, not a good look for you.â
You sighed inwardly. All in all, you were probably born in the worst generation in the My Hero universe. You couldnât even be part of the middle generation where you couldâve had the chance to work as a teacher with Aizawa and the rest of the crew. It was a possibility, sure, but it felt so far out of reach. And the idea of being around Present Micâpreferably with his hair down and you age-appropriate for him? That wouldâve been a dream.
But here you were, a few years older than the main cast. Actually, you were the same age as Keigo. As much as you loved his character, he didnât really become important until the fifth season. Which meant you had little to no relevance to the plot or any of the major characters. You couldnât help but feel like you were stuck in some lame generation, unable to make an impact.
Why couldnât any isekai story go right? You really felt like youâd lost the genetic lottery over and over again. You couldnât have been born just a few years younger, so you couldâve at least had the chance to be around your other favorite sunshine-blonde character, Mirio. Not being his age had probably made you feel like youâd lost years of your life unknowingly.
âMaamaa, we just met, and youâve already got a grudge against me?â He teased, giving you a playful frown.
Immediately it springs in your head that youâve probably come off as a total asshole. Screw the curse of having an outside point of view. The fact of knowing none of this was real maybe gave a bad look on the outside.
You suddenly felt a wave of regret hit you, realizing how your words had come across. His playful tone, the teasing frownâeverything made it clear he wasnât offended, but you couldnât shake the feeling that you had crossed a line. You opened your mouth, but your thoughts were tangled, and it took a moment to collect your words.
âAh, look, Iââ You hesitated, eyes darting away, feeling heat rising in your cheeks. âI didnât mean to sound like that. Itâs just⊠I donât know, sometimes I get carried away, andââ You mentally cursed yourself for being so awkward. You hated how easily you could go from sarcastic to genuinely sorry in a second.
Hawks gave you an odd look, the smirk still there, though softer. âHey, no worries. I get it.â He shrugged, as if it wasnât a big deal, but you could tell something about his tone had changed slightly. Maybe he was trying to lighten the mood too, like you were.
âNo, Iâm serious,â you quickly added, glancing up at him, feeling the need to apologize properly. âItâs just⊠I donât know. Iâve been here long enough to see how people get caught up in all the⊠hero stuff. And I didnât want to be another person acting all starry-eyed over you just because youâre a pro hero, you know?â God you sounded pathetic. Maybe if you prayed to all might really hard it would go away.
Hawks studied you for a second, then nodded slowly, his expression unreadable for a moment. âI get it. You donât want to be one of those people who just worship the ground we fly on, huh?â
You sighed, relieved that he understood, but still uneasy. âYeah... fly on. Itâs just⊠this world, this universe⊠Itâs all so⊠strange. I mean, I know youâre a big deal, and I respect that. But sometimes itâs hard to take things seriously when everything feels like itâs set in stone. To be so âMUCHâ all the time. Anyways Iâm literally doing exactly what yours doing for a career so donât take my words to heart. Heroes are kind of just people that help people and Iâm like one or those people and by no means-â You paused, biting your lip.
There was an odd moment of silence before Hawks chuckled, and for a moment, you thought you mightâve said something ridiculous.
âYouâre fine.â His tone was soft, genuine this time, as he took another step back, giving you space. âYouâre not the first person to think Iâm all âego and feathers,â but not everyoneâs as honest about it as you are. So, props for that, I guess.â He tilted his head, his usual cocky grin returning, though it seemed more self-aware now. âBut hey, if it helps, I do my best to keep my ego in check. Itâs not as big as it looks.â
You blinked, unsure how to respond, but the words that came out were almost reflexive. âWell, youâre doing a pretty good job of hiding it, I guess. Youâre going to be one of the top ten. I know it.â
Hawks laughed softly, the sound surprisingly genuine, and you found yourself relaxing a little. Maybe you hadnât totally messed everything up. âYouâre so sure about that? Well then fair enough. Just donât expect me to give up my flashy style anytime soon. Itâs a package deal.â He says that as if he doesnât get In the top ten within a few months.
You could tell he wasnât taking offense anymore, but you still felt like you needed to clear the air. âI mean, youâre doing your thing. I justââ You faltered, trying to find the right words, feeling like you were digging yourself into a hole. âI just didnât want to be some random person making snide comments. Youâre a pro hero, and I respect that.â
His eyes softened again, and there was an odd sincerity in his gaze. âThanks. That means more than you know. You look about the same age as me so as youâre a pro as well, wouldnât you know it youâll be up there at the top, maybe weâll have a hero rivalryâ he smirks
âAh yes the trials and tribulations of endeavour and all might persist in the bodies of 18 year old aspiring heroesâ you pause for a moment thinking about it. You know thatâs not too far from the original source material
âWell Iâm not exactly a pro just yet, give me a few months and Iâll be thereâ
For a moment, neither of you spoke, the awkwardness between you two slowly evaporating. It was strange, how youâd gone from a sarcastic comment to a brief but genuine moment of understanding. And yet, in a world where everything seemed so scripted, the fact that this had played out in such a way felt a little⊠surreal.
After a beat, Hawks stretched, giving you a wink. âWell, I should probably get going. Hero stuff, you know?â He shrugged, turning on his heel. âBut hey, if you ever need a hand or just wanna throw some more sarcastic remarks my way, Iâm not hard to find.â
You managed a small, half-smile. âIâll keep that in mind.â
He flashed you one last grin before taking off, his wings spreading wide as he took to the sky, disappearing into the distance. You watched him go, still feeling that odd mixture of guilt and amusement bubbling in your chest.
Shaking your head, you turned and continued on your way home, feeling slightly lighter, despite the awkwardness. At least you hadnât ruined everything completely. But, then again, in a world like this, there was always something new to look forward to. Maybe youâd even see Hawks again and maybe next time, youâd be a little better at handling it.
Or, youâd at least try to be.
In this world, reports of people with superpowers started popping up everywhere. No one really knew what was causing these Quirks. And before long, the supernatural became the new normal. Dreams became reality, and the world turned into a superhuman society, with 80% of the population possessing some sort of strange ability.
Blah, blah, blah. The world might sound impressive at first, but being dropped into a world where you know everyoneâs futures? That kind of ruins the excitement. Save the fun stuff for when Izuku is supposed to take over
Youâd think living in a world of superheroes would be a dream come true, but it felt more like playing a life simulator with a DLC attached.
âActually if any one had heard that thought, please smite me dead on the spotâ
Maybe when you finally met Shigaraki, you two could bond over how lame your lives were.
ââââ
The moment Hawks took off, disappearing into the sky with all the grace and flair of a man who knew exactly how cool he was, you were left standing there, alone in the middle of a busy street. You blinked a few times, processing the bizarre encounter, like a glitch in the matrix where youâd just met one of the to be top heroes, and somehow managed to be the awkward, sarcastic mess you were known for.
Oh god, you thought, did I just make myself look like an idiot?
The awkwardness of the moment hit you all at once, like a ton of bricks. Your brain replayed every word youâd said, every overly dramatic sigh, and every time youâd made some weird comment about his ego. I probably just ruined any chance of ever having a normal conversation with him ever again, you thought with a groan.
But, hey, at least youâd gotten one thing right: you had no idea how to not embarrass yourself in front of a pro hero. Progress, right?
Your feet shuffled along the sidewalk, your eyes fixed on the ground, just in case anyone noticed how ridiculously flustered you were. You didnât even know where you were going at this point, your legs had basically decided to take you home, but your brain was still stuck on the fact that youâd just made a snide remark to one of the most famous people in the world. That was bound to come back to haunt you, right?
In the midst of your spiraling, a thought hit you like a slap to the face: What if he tells people?
No, no, no, no. Hawks wasnât the type to hold grudges. Heâd probably just chuckle about it with his equally cool friends and forget about it. Right?
⊠what if he tells Mirko. All you feel is dread
But still, the mental image of him, sitting around with his hero buddies, casually telling them about the weird girl who got all awkward and snarky when she met him, was enough to make you want to curl up in a hole and disappear for the next decade. Iâm never leaving my house again, you thought, hands buried in your pockets. Itâs safer this way.
As you trudged home, you passed by the same old buildings, the same street vendors, the same couple having a heated debate about the proper way to cook curry (which, honestly, you were kind of invested in now). It was the same old world. But now, you couldnât help but feel like you were living in some kind of sitcom where you were the awkward side character. This is what I get for getting tossed into this universe, you thought, rolling your eyes at the universe itself. And why am I still here? Shouldnât I be a sidekick by now?
You eventually reached your apartment building, doing your best to ignore the fact that youâd just been face-to-face with Hawks and didnât manage to do anything remotely cool or competent. The elevator ride felt longer than it shouldâve. It was like the universe itself was giving you a moment to reflect on your life choices. By the time you reached your door, you felt like you needed to apologize to the doorframe for even existing.
With a dramatic sigh, you kicked off your shoes and collapsed onto the couch. You stared at the ceiling, wondering if you shouldâve just said something normal like, âHey, cool wings.â Thatâs it. Cool wings⊠nope absolutely not, move on, but no, you had to act like a nervous wreck who couldnât even handle basic social interaction. Congratulations, youâre a disaster.
But as your mind started spiraling into self-loathing, you couldnât help but chuckle a little. The whole situation had been so ridiculous, so out of place, that it was actually kind of funny. Youâd just had a conversation with Hawks granted, it was a weird, awkward, almost cringeworthy conversation but still, a conversation! That was more than most people could say.
âMaybe I should just call it a day. Hide under the covers and pretend nothing happened.â
You threw your arms dramatically across your face as if the weight of your shame was too much to bear, but in the back of your mind, a tiny thought crept in: Hey, if I run into him again, maybe I wonât make a fool of myself next time.
Then again, you thought with a grin, Probably not.
At least tomorrowâs a new day, right? You could try to be normal then probably. Or at the very least, you could give yourself a good pep talk, like, âYou got this, champ. Try not to make an idiot of yourself this time.â
As you lay there, wallowing in your embarrassment, you couldnât help but let out a small laugh. Because, in the end, this was just another bizarre chapter in your weird, barely-coherent life in the world of heroes. Maybe next time, youâd at least try to make a good first impression. Or maybe, just maybe, youâd accidentally land on your feet and make it out of another embarrassing moment unscathed.
Who knew? Anything was possible in this crazy universe. Well, except you being smooth. That was clearly out of the question.
ââââ
The bell rang, signaling the end of class, and as your classmates hurriedly packed their bags and ran out the door, you sat there, contemplating your life choices. Graduation was right around the corner, and while everyone else was excited about the future, you were just kind of⊠existing.
You were in your third year at UA, the very school that trained the next generation of Pro Heroes. But here you were, staring at your desk like it owed you money, with no idea what you were supposed to do next.
Letâs be real, everyone else had a purpose. Izuku? He was going to be the greatest hero of all time. All Might? He was the symbol of peace, the beacon of hope, and probably the only guy who could do a cartwheel and not look like a dad on a trampoline. Even Bakugo had a clear goal in mind: to be the best, which, considering his attitude, was more like a âdo it or Iâll yell at you until you cryâ kind of vibe.
But you? You were just here. You werenât supposed to be in this world. Seriously, how did you even get here? One minute you were living your normal life, and the next youâre dropped into the middle of a world full of heroes, quirks, and crazy villains, but thereâs no manual for how to fit in. It was like being cast in the worldâs weirdest TV show and being told, âYeah, just figure it out, youâll be fine.â
And you were so fine. So fine, in fact, that you didnât even know what the point of it all was. You had no grand dreams of becoming the next All Might or Deku. You werenât even sure what your quirk was half the time, maybe you had an ability to be totally average? If so, congratulations, you were really nailing it.
âLook, youâre fine, youâre fine,â you muttered to yourself, giving the window a dramatic look. âYouâll graduate, become a hero, maybe stand by the snacks table at hero events, get a cool costume, the usual.â
You sighed, staring at the city below. Your classmates had their lives all planned out, while you had absolutely no clue what was happening. âLike, how do you even become a hero if youâre not, like, destined for greatness?â You asked, though you were fully aware the universe wasnât going to answer. Or if it did, it would probably just laugh and say, âSorry, youâre just here for filler content.â
You turned to the empty classroom, contemplating your entire existence for a moment. âMan, is this what itâs like to be a side character? âCause I really didnât sign up for this. I was just trying to live my best life, and suddenly Iâm here, trying to figure out if I should be saving kittens from trees or passing out flyers for charity events.â
A laugh bubbled out of you. âWho knows, maybe Iâll be that hero, the one whoâs really good at handing out pamphlets at superhero conventions. You know, hero stuff. The job thatâs always available but no one really talks about.â
You let out a half-hearted groan. âUgh, Iâm like a glorified intern in the superhero world. âOh, sorry, your quirk is literally just being chill? Guess youâll be a sidekick to the sidekicks!ââ
But then it hit you: maybe thatâs fine. Not every hero needs to be the big shot. Maybe your purpose was to just⊠exist. No huge fanfare, no dramatic showdowns with villains, just a random person who shows up at the right time to, like, hand out snacks or prevent a minor inconvenience. You could totally be that person! Thereâs a whole squad of heroes out there who are doing important stuff without anyone caring about them.
You snapped your fingers. âWait a minute. Maybe this is my calling! Iâll be âThe Human Bufferâ. Iâll help all the heroes hand out protein bars, hold their coats while they go into battle, be that one person whoâs just there to make sure they look good in their hero pose. Yeah, I could be that hero!â
You stood up, grabbed your bag, and strutted out of the classroom with newfound confidence. You might not have a big, world-saving destiny, but you would be the hero who was always there with the perfect snack after a long day of saving people. It wasnât glamorous, but it was a role that needed to be filled, and by golly, you were going to do it.
âAlright, world,â you said dramatically as you walked down the hallway. âYou donât need me to save the day, but Iâll be here when you need someone to tell you where the bathroom is during a fight. Hero work!â
As you passed your classmates, all talking about their big future plans, you couldnât help but laugh. Maybe you werenât meant to be the hero everyone else was, but you were still going to make your mark. Whether they needed an emotional support snack or someone to bring them a towel after they worked up a sweat, youâd be there.
And hey, youâd probably get a cool title too: The Most Average, Most Helpful Hero.
It wasnât that you didnât like the idea of being a hero. Who wouldnât want to swoop in and save the day, right? But the thing was, you didnât belong here. You didnât have that spark that made someone destined to be a hero. You werenât meant to exist in this world. You were more like an accidental extra, someone who wasnât supposed to show up on the hero timeline but somehow did. And now you were just⊠waiting for your scene to end.
It wasnât that you didnât respect heroes, of course, you did! But watching everyone around you with their grand dreams and bright futures made you feel a bit like the odd one out. Even if youâre living in a year with just side characters. They had their roles, their destinies. Meanwhile, you were stuck in a universe where things were already set in stone. It was like showing up to a concert that was already halfway over and realizing youâre just gonna have to sit in the nosebleeds for the rest of the show.
Keigo had mentioned once that it was important for heroes to ease the worries of the people. Isnât it paradoxical that his future words are the ones giving you a path. That they had to be more than just strong, they had to make people feel safe. And youâd never had any doubts about that philosophy. But how could you be that person when you didnât even feel like you were supposed to be here in the first place? It felt like playing a game you didnât know the rules to, in a world that wasnât yours.
Sure, you were about to graduate from UA and technically become a Pro Hero, but you couldnât shake the feeling that you were sort of stepping into a role that didnât really have anything to do with you. You had no grand dreams of fighting side-by-side with All Might in his final battle. There were so any many risks and what if a simple butterfly effect made the villains win by you being here. Honestly, youâd probably end up being the hero who handed out flyers for charity events or stood at the front of the line for photos to be safe. Was that the kind of hero you wanted to be?
âWell, I guess Iâll be a hero of some kind,â you muttered, though it was more out of obligation than excitement. âBut what does it even mean if I donât have some grand purpose in all this?â
A little chuckle escaped your lips. This was ridiculous. Here you were, stressing over your place in a world that was literally made up. You were a character in a story that already had its plot laid out, and yet you were still acting like you had to be a main character. It was all just so absurd.
But you didnât want to be that person someone who just complained about fate and waited for something to happen. You could still make a difference in small ways, right? Maybe not as the next All Might or Deku, but as someone who showed up when it mattered, who helped out in their own way. The world was full of side characters doing small but important things, why couldnât you be one of them?
With a grin, you stood up and grabbed your bag, heading out of the classroom to join the rest of your classmates. Maybe you werenât the protagonist of this story, but hey, you could still make your mark on it. A little self-awareness never hurt anyone, right? Besides, in a world full of heroes, sometimes it was enough just to be one even if you were doing it a little differently than everyone else.
distorted reflections save us <3!! HHASSCSCIBSACAHSDDGSAUIHUUIGUGGHHHH
Hawks- Distorted Reflections Hawks- smiles a lot. He's nearly constantly grinning or smiling in some sort of way. It's nearly impossible to tell if it's real or not- not even Hawks' sidekick, Echo (His AU's Shoto Todoroki), or his trainee, Tsukuyomi can really tell.
Until you see him genuinely smile, catching him off guard. Until you hear him laugh without controlling it, when you somehow manage to catch him when he hasn't got his guard up.
His smiles light up his face, usually prompted by a small fluster he hides beneath his hand or presses his jacket over his face to do so. But nothing hides the crinkle in the corner of his irises, the way his eyes soften and his irises shine.
His laughter isn't exactly pretty. The usual chuckle you get is gone, replaced by a wheezing, chirp-infused giggling mess. His wings go all fluffy despite his excellent control of them, tears of mirth appearing in the corners of his eyes as he fights to get himself under control. He covers his mouth with his jacket afterwards, wings twitching and fluttering softly as his shoulders still silently shake.
You can't go back from seeing that. Once you have, you'll always be able to see, clearly, whether his smiles or laughter is actually, really true.
Or if it's just another part to his ever-expanding mask.
:((( i love keigo sm.

a/n: just a small cute fic, for my cute birdy boy.

synopsis: Hawks is your sun, you are his moon.
"You always seem to be by my side every time, and no, that's not a bad thing."
Keigo Takami, better known as Hawks, the winged hero with a heart as quick as his wings, often found himself soaring through the skies, saving lives and maintaining the peace with a calm and confident demeanor. But lately, his thoughts had been elsewhere, focused not on villains or chaos, but on you.
You were calm, steady, and unbothered by the noise and fast pace of life around youâqualities that had caught Keigoâs attention almost immediately. He found peace in your presence, a tranquility that was rare in his high-flying life. You never fawned over his hero status like others did, treating him like a regular person, which made him fall even harder for you.
As time went on, the two of you became close. Conversations filled with comfortable silences, quiet moments where words werenât needed. Keigo admired how you were always so composed, even when the world around you seemed to spin out of control. And in those moments, when he allowed himself to be vulnerable, he realized just how deep his feelings had become. But he also knew his life wasnât built for easy relationships, and with the constant threat of danger lurking around every corner, he hesitated.
Keigo made a vow to himself to protect you, but from a distance. He didnât want to pull you into his world of danger. Heroes had enemies, and he didnât want you to become a target because of him.
One night, as Hawks finished another exhausting day of work, he was flying back, looking forward to seeing you. But something felt off. The quiet comfort you always gave him was missing, replaced by an unsettling emptiness. His phone buzzed.
A cryptic message.
"We have them."
His blood ran cold. His feathers twitched involuntarily, spreading out as his heart raced. He didn't need to ask who "them" referred toâhe knew it was you.
In an instant, the easy-going persona that he usually wore slipped away, and a cold, focused intensity took over. Whoever took you had no idea what they had just unleashed.
Using every contact and resource at his disposal, Keigo tracked down the location where you were being held. It didnât take long; villains always underestimated how sharp and quick he was. He flew like a bullet, his wings cutting through the wind as he raced against the clock.
The abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city was dimly lit, a perfect hideout for criminals, but Keigo was prepared. His sharp eyes scanned the area, and he noticed the guards patrolling the perimeter. His feathers moved silently through the air, picking them off one by one, clearing his path with swift precision.
Inside the warehouse, you were sitting calmly despite the circumstances. The villains had tried to intimidate you, to make you afraid, but you remained composed. You knew Keigo would come for you. The moment the door to your room burst open, a blur of feathers and golden eyes appeared before you. Keigo stood there, his chest rising and falling with barely contained rage.
âAre you okay?â he asked, his voice low and urgent, but his eyes softened when they met yours.
âIâm fine,â you replied, your calm demeanor unshaken, though you felt a rush of relief at seeing him.
For a brief moment, Keigoâs tough hero façade cracked, and he knelt beside you, cupping your face in his hands, searching your eyes for any sign of fear. But there was none. You smiled at him, and despite the chaos around you, he felt his heart calm in your presence.
âIâm sorry,â he whispered, his voice barely audible. âI didnât want this for you.â
âI knew what I was getting into,â you replied softly. âYouâre a hero, and I knew thereâd be danger. But I trust you.â
Keigo let out a shaky breath, his forehead resting against yours for a moment. âIâve never been this scared,â he admitted.
âIâm here, Keigo,â you said, placing your hand on his. âYou always get me back in one piece.â
In that moment, he realized something he had been avoiding for too long. He couldnât keep you at armâs length anymore. He loved you too much for that, and you were stronger than he had ever given you credit for. You werenât someone who needed protecting from his world; you were someone who belonged in it, right beside him.
With one last look at you, Keigo stood, his wings unfurling once more. âLetâs get out of here,â he said, offering his hand.
As you placed your hand in his, he pulled you close, wrapping his wings protectively around you. Together, you soared into the night sky, the world below fading into the distance.
And for the first time, Keigo felt a sense of peace, knowing that whatever challenges lay ahead, youâd face them together.
As you flew through the cool night air, Keigo held you close, the wind rustling through his wings. The city lights glittered below, but all he cared about was the steady beat of your heart next to his. For so long, he had tried to keep his distance, convinced that pulling you into his world would only bring you harm. But tonight had shattered that illusion.
You were calm, unshaken, even after being kidnapped. That unwavering steadiness that he admired so much had been your strength, not just his. He realized that, in his attempt to protect you from danger, he had underestimated the power of your presence in his life.
Keigo finally touched down on the rooftop of his private penthouse. He gently let you down, his wings slowly retracting as he looked at you, studying your face for any sign of distress.
"You're sure you're okay?" he asked, his voice still tinged with concern, even though you had reassured him multiple times.
"I'm fine, Keigo," you repeated, your calm, steady voice easing his worry again. "You worry too much."
He chuckled softly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Guess I'm not used to feeling so out of control," he admitted. "Being a hero⊠I'm always in charge, always quick to react. But with youâŠ" He trailed off, his golden eyes meeting yours. "You make me feel things I can't always handle."
You smiled softly, stepping closer to him, placing a hand on his chest where his heart still raced beneath your fingertips. "Keigo, you don't have to protect me from everything. I know what comes with being close to you. I accepted that from the start."
He swallowed hard, his usual confident demeanor faltering as vulnerability settled over him. "I just donât want to lose you," he said quietly, his hand covering yours on his chest. "Being a hero⊠it means sacrifices. And Iâm scared of what might happen to you because of me."
"You won't lose me," you replied gently, squeezing his hand. "Iâm here because I want to be. Weâll face whatever comes together."
Keigo's gaze softened, and for a moment, the weight of his responsibilities and the danger of his life seemed to lift. He leaned in, brushing a strand of hair away from your face, his eyes tracing the lines of your calm expression.
"I donât know what Iâd do without you," he whispered, the sincerity in his voice so raw it caught even him by surprise.
Your hand moved to cup his cheek, your touch grounding him. "You wonât have to find out."
Keigoâs heart swelled at your words. Without another thought, he closed the space between you, his lips brushing softly against yours. It wasnât the intense, hurried kiss of someone desperate, but rather the gentle touch of someone who had finally allowed themselves to fall. His wings, so often symbols of his strength and speed, folded around you like a protective barrier, shielding the two of you from the outside world.
In that moment, everything felt right. The chaos of his hero life, the uncertainty of the futureâit all faded in the presence of this simple truth: he loved you. And you were more than capable of facing the dangers of his world with him.
When the kiss broke, Keigo rested his forehead against yours, his breath mingling with yours in the quiet night air.
âIâll stop trying to push you away,â he promised, his voice soft but firm. âBut I need you to promise me something too.â
âWhatâs that?â
âThat youâll be careful. I canât always be there to swoop in and save you.â
You smiled, your fingers tracing the edge of his jaw. âIâll be careful. But you should know by now that Iâm not as fragile as you think.â
Keigo let out a breathy laugh, his wings twitching slightly in amusement. âYeah, Iâve definitely learned that tonight.â
The two of you stood there for a while longer, wrapped in each otherâs arms, the world beyond the rooftop seeming distant and unimportant. For the first time in a long time, Keigo felt at peace. He had spent so much time running from his feelings, afraid of what loving someone like you might mean. But now, with you in his arms, he realized that love didnât make him weakâit made him stronger.
âI love you,â he whispered, the words coming naturally, as if they had been waiting on the tip of his tongue for ages.
Your eyes softened, and you smiled. âI love you too, Keigo.â
Hearing those words made his heart soar higher than any flight ever had. He pulled you closer, kissing you again, this time with the passion and urgency of someone who knew exactly what he wantedâand he wasnât going to let go.
Whatever came next, whatever dangers lay ahead, Keigo knew that as long as you were by his side, he could face anything. Because loving you wasnât a weakness; it was the greatest strength he had ever known.

This is slowly becoming a hawks only account⊠i swear im able to draw other ppl but my heart wonât let me đ
hes such a cutie pie
The sound of typing echoed through the agencyâs office, the rhythmic clacking of keys blending with the distant hum of conversation outside the glass walls. You sat at your desk, eyes glued to the screen as you processed Hawksâ latest mission reports. Efficiency was your language, professionalism your creed, and nothingânot even the Number Two Pro Heroâs relentless flirtingâwould shake that.
Yet, here he was. Again.
Keigo âHawksâ Takami leaned against your desk, wings half-folded, golden eyes filled with mischief as he grinned down at you.
âSo, I was thinking sushi tonight. Thereâs a new place in town, and Iâd love some good company,â he drawled, tilting his head in that infuriatingly charming way.
You didnât even pause in your typing. âNo, thank you, sir.â
He clicked his tongue. âCold as ever, huh? Come on, Iâm your boss. That means you kinda have to say yes.â
Now, you did stop typing. You turned to him, giving him a level stare. âThat would be an abuse of power, sir.â
Hawks threw his head back with a laugh, the motion causing a few red feathers to flutter onto your desk. âI like the way you say that. âSir.â All stern and proper. Ever think of loosening up a little, Y/N?â
âMy professionalism is what keeps this agency running smoothly. Unlike some people, I take my job very seriously.â
Hawks placed a hand over his heart, feigning injury. âOuch. I take my job seriously too! You think I donât work hard?â
âYou take your hero work seriously,â you corrected, turning back to your screen. âEverything else? Questionable.â
Hawks chuckled. âTouchĂ©. But you know, Y/N, thereâs more to life than just work.â
âNot for me,â you replied, shutting down yet another attempt.
It didnât stop there.
Hawks was nothing if not persistent. Over the next few weeks, he found every excuse to ask you out.
âI got two VIP tickets to a concert. Itâd be a shame to waste them.â
âNo, thank you, sir.â
âThe agency Christmas party is coming up. You and meâbest dressed duo?â
âIâll be working the event, sir.â
âI saved a kitten today. That means I deserve a reward, right? Dinner?â
âYou have an entire fan club willing to reward you, sir.â
At some point, even the other sidekicks started noticing. Mirai, one of the rookies, whispered to you in passing, âYou know, people would kill for a date with him.â
âAnd thatâs exactly why Iâm not interested,â you had replied, shutting down the conversation just as efficiently as you did Hawksâ invitations.
One evening, after an especially grueling day at the agency, you found yourself still at your desk long after everyone else had gone home. The sky outside was painted in deep hues of orange and purple, and the city lights flickered to life below.
Hawks appeared again, but this time, he wasnât leaning against your desk with a smirk. He held two steaming cups of coffee, placing one beside you without a word.
You glanced up, wary. âWhatâs this?â
âPeace offering,â he said, pulling up a chair. âNo date talk. Just coffee.â
You hesitated before taking a sip. The warmth seeped through your fingers, and for once, you allowed yourself a small moment of reprieve.
Hawks studied you for a long moment before speaking. âYou ever wonder why I keep asking?â
You sighed. âBecause you enjoy pushing my buttons?â
He chuckled but shook his head. âNah. Itâs because youâre the only one who doesnât treat me like Iâm something untouchable. You donât care about the fame, the hero title, the charmânone of it works on you. And for once, I kinda like that.â
You frowned. âAnd that makes you want to date me?â
âYep,â he said, popping the âpâ with a grin. âBecause youâre real. And I think I need that.â
You stared at him for a long moment before shaking your head. âItâs still unprofessional.â
He smirked, taking a sip of his coffee. âThen I guess Iâll just have to keep asking until you change your mind.â
And somehow, you knew he would.

AUGH CRYING MYSELF TO SLEEP THIS IS SO GOOD
going ice skating with Dabi and Hawks and just laughing whenever they fall <3
it's practically the end of winter but I can't get off my mind
okay contrary to popular belief i think touya shows off the he knows how to ice skate. keigo can't and he is like a baby deer on the ice.
and it's so cute, when you brought up the idea touya was actually excited to go. neither could ever really say no to you (keigo's weakness is your pout and touya is always down to go with the flow) and both thought that ice skating was a fun little date idea.
so here the three of you were downtown hosu, touya showing off by skating past keigo backwards with his hands in his pockets while the blonde clings to the walls on unsteady feet. you can't help but cackle at the sight-- you've offered your hand to him multiple times but he refuses it every time. he's determined to 'look cool' in front of you and actually skate, but you only find him endearing and dorkish.
at some point you pull off to the side and throw your legs over the wall and watch the two of them antagonize each other. keigo is trying to defend himself against touya's teasing-- it's not working.
the sight is sweet. touya looks a lot healthier since rehab and getting out of the hospital, and keigo is starting to relax and take care of himself better since taking the role of president of the hpsc. and yeah, they are happy-- you know they are. they've come to terms with their situations and their lives but in this moment, where they only have to worry about gliding (or trying) to move around the ice-- they couldn't have looked more carefree.
the sight of them makes your heart clench. touya's eyes meet yours over the makeshift rink and he grins. you can see the warmth in his eyes, there's a fire in those irises but it burns for a different reason. still hot and scorching, but not nearly as unconstrained as before.
"he looks happy," a voice speaks beside you and you practically jump at the sound of it.
"shouto!" your heart races as your head turns to find the boy standing just off to the side of you, hands clasped behind his back and staring off to the rink where his eldest brother terrorizes your boyfriend. your heart settles slowly, watching his gaze and tracing it until it lands on your two idiots. "what are you doing out in hosu?"
"i help with the rink sometimes," he shrugs halfheartedly. "patrol shift."
you hum in response but don't really say anything. your relationship with the youngest todoroki isn't the strongest, but it's there. since the war both you and touya have been trying to build a relationship with him-- with all of the todoroki siblings.
touya's head lifts and sees his younger brother standing next to you-- he lifts a hand in greeting and shouto returns it. your boyfriend's mouth moves a little to form what you know is a small smile but whether shouto knows that is beyond you. touya looks as if he's going to move to join the two of you but he can't go anywhere with keigo clinging to his arm and desperately trying not to land on his ass.
"you want to go to dinner with us? if your patrol is over any time soon," you're speaking before you can even think about it. but you can see the way shouto watches the two of them, he's moved closer to stand next to you and there's a hint of a fond smile on his lips.
shouto nods a little. if he's shocked at all about the offer his expression doesn't show it. "i'm off in thirty minutes. i'd love to join you guys."
your smile mirrors his. and yeah, touya was a little grumpy about his younger brother crashing date night with you and keigo-- but he enjoyed spending time with his younger brother.

currently thinking about bakugo âitâs not that deepâ katsuki.
katsukiâs got a temper that makes him more chalant than not, but when it comes to everything else the blonde is relativelyâŠunreactive. itâs not like he tries to be that way, he just has to be. when youâre surrounded by idiots like denki & sero on a daily basis, you eventually learn to choose your fucks & allocate them wisely.
âbakugo, class 1-Bâs been hogging the hero equipmentâhow do we train now ?â
âitâs never that deep, tape face. just go later yâdumbassâ
âbakubro, i think my situationship just blocked meââ
âliterally just move on. really not that serious.â
the phrase has practically become katsukiâs signature one liner. so itâs a shock when his friends make you realize youâve never actually heard the words from his lips.
âkatsuki ? and nonchalant ? in the same sentence ? you must be joking.â
mina & sero are watching outer banks with your laptop while denki & kiri glance at each other in confusion. âyouâre serious? heâs never said stuff like that to you ?â
âlike ever?â
ânever.â you run a brush through your hair. âthough i guess i could imagine him talking to you guys that way.â
âdouble standards go crazyâ mina mumbles. âreal.â
âno, guysâall hope is not lost. it could be that y/n is really rational so he never has to say it, you feel me ?â
you scoff, but denki keeps talking, âwe can test this out. just get y/n to act really dramatic and see how bakugo reacts.â
sero pauses the episode, ignoring the scowl that graces minaâs lips. âfifty bucks there really is a double standard and bakugo wonât act all nonchalant.â
âfifty bucks ? thatâs half my salary!â
ânot my fault you work at mcdonaldâs dawg. you guys in or what ?â
kiriâs quick to strike the deal on kaminariâs behalf. denkiâs about to protest when the fiery blond walks in.
âdisgusting. why are you all sitting around like degenerates? not you baby.â
âwhat happened to âhello, how are you?ââ
âhi âsuki.â you purr, ignoring sero. katsuki dips his head to peck your lips, a quiet âhey prettyâ mumbled into your cheek.
sero snaps his fingers at the display of affection. âexcuse me? in front of my obx?â
âthe one youâre watching with my netflix subscription?â bakugo snaps the laptop shut and mina protests with a mouth full of popcorn. youâre about to playfully defend the duo when kirishima nudges your elbow. he cocks his head towards bakugo and you understand immediately.
âkatsuki,â you tug at the hem of your boyfriendâs sleeve & look into his eyes with the most tender expression you can muster. âiâm out of lipliner.â
âokay ?â
you hear a snort and you know itâs from sero.
âthereâs nothing âokayâ about it âsuki. i need a new one or else iâll literally die.â
bakugoâs brows knit in confusion. âis this your way of begging me for money?â he begins to dig at his wallet and you swat his arm away.
âbeg is insane.â
âi donât need your money.â you snap. âi need my lipliner. nowâ
âjust orderââ ânow.â
âwhat do you mean now? itâs almost nine pm, where the fuck are you going ?â
ânowhere. i just need it.â
âdo you have a fever ?â âkatsuki!â
âi need it now âsuki,â you hug your arms around his body and place your chin on his chest. âif i donât get it right now iâm literally gonna cry.â
your lips jut into a pout. you can tell heâs about to protest so you take his palm into your own. âitâs not thatâfuck. whatever. where the hell are my keys ?â
he gently nudges you off him before grabbing the car keys off the front table, a string of grumbles leaving his lips as he sets out on the side quest regardless. he shuts the door behind him & suddenly the room buzzes back to life.
ây/n your pussy cannot be that good.â
âliterally what iâm saying bro.â
âho did you use rose quartz on him ??â
âi always knew you were a witch for real.â
âthis whole interaction just piss me off.â
âiâm going home. denki and kiri, you owe me fifty bucks each.â
âEACH ?â
( bonus )
itâs nearly half an hour later & katsuki isnât back so youâre starting to get worried. sero and the gang have already left, leaving you to deal with the growing anxiety by yourself. you finally decided to text your boyfriend only to find heâs sent you several messages already:

sneak peek âž in the midst of winter, a particular hero is feeling quite frosty this season from the absence your warmth, letâs see if you can fix that.
word count : whole ass book grab a cup of coffee to indulge in ts
As much as the flurries of winter trickling through the bustling cities with its angelic flakes were enchanting to see, it was hell to travel in.Â
Every time your found your carâs battery to be frozen and glistening with ice, the walk to your flower shop almost always ended with you limping through the doors, a new bruise decorating your skin.Â
Whatever lunatic conjured up the idea to attach the outside of your shop with a little set of stairs mustâve not been hugged as a child, you thought as you gripped onto the railing.Â
After a particularly rough 6 a.m hike to the shop, you plopped your bag onto the counter, too exhausted to move it elsewhere. Instead, you opened your phone to say goodbye to your silly reels and tweets.Â
But when you swiped your screen down to do a final time check, your eyes met with the text notification:Â
hawks
6:14 A.M.
Hey. You at work? Picked up some hot coffee and wanted to see if I could share with another early bird. :-)
Your eyes stuck on the message like a sticker, and you couldnât find yourself to rip them off your screen. It felt almost.. nice to be almostkindoffriendsbutkindofstrangers with Hawks, yet unreal.Â
Ever since that night in the cafe, you thought back to it like a dream, a blur of warm glances and candles mixed with wafts of pumpkin.Â
One thing you remembered from the little date was the exchanging of your numbers.. which was just a folded up post-it that Hawks had managed to stick in your coat pocket at the last second, freaking sneak, with little doodles dancing around the boldened digits.
After said date, the two of you would text consistently for a few days. Getting to know each other, sending each other relatable posts, yâknow, the usual spiel of a talking stage.
The strange thing howeverâis after a week, you hadnât come across the man for nearly two months.Â
You understood fully though, of course! Work constantly pulled him away all the time. He was needed to serve, to help people continue their domestic routines.Â
His missing presence just felt so unnatural, didnât it? But perhaps his swarms of admirers were enough to keep him occupied.
How was he able to do it? Youâd never know. Even a trip to unload the flowers from the wholesalersâ truck back and forth made you cry from the soreness youâd get in your legs, and heâs out here fighting damn kratos on the daily? Yikes.
But thinking about it, It stung a little to think about how empty he would feel after all those hours.
At times, youâd come home to your apartment, everything still left eerily the same as it was earlierâbut a bittersweet lone feeling loomed over you.Â
You didnât want to picture how itâd feel for him.Â
Especially in the mellow season, so close to Christmas.Â
Reluctantly, you tapped the keys on your phone, quick to send out brief âyes, of course!!â to his proposal, thumb shaking while it hovered over the âsendâ button.
As you set your phone down, your heart undeniably throbbed to the thought of him walking through those doors, his warm presence lighting up the gloomy unlit store.Â
It mustâve just been the mixture of sweet aromas making you feel that way.Â
The âthump!â of your head against the counter echoed embarrassingly through the room as your nerves began to jitter about.Â
 ââșââ .Â
Something that always struck out to you during wintertime was no matter what time of day it was, most other businesses in the vicinity had their christmas lights flickered on in the early morning, and in the dusk of night.Â
Yourself and your coworkers didnât skip this tradition, taking the opportunity as soon as you guys could to hang the golden twinkle string along the roofline.
Ever since, you kept the brightness of each bulb inside to a minimum as to not overwhelm your clients at the crack of dawn.
From the inside, the silhouettes that passed by were usually the ones on their way to the offices and occasional joggers. All too well accustomed to the âearly birdâ lifestyle like yourself.
Speaking of early birds.
The subtle âwhooshâ that you only guessed were the wings of a certain hero faintly brushed the chill air.
You decided not to look up at the door yet, as you anticipated his arrival and wanted to capture the perfect best view of him walking in.
Absentmindedly staring at your nailbeds, the catchy chime jingled against the doorframe, a creak escaping from the door that was being pushed upon.
Finally looking up (pretending you didnât notice him in the first place), Hawksâ clothed elbow pressed the black bar of the door, his signature black gloves carrying two coffee cups and a little frost glistened on the tips of his wings.
He huffed out as he entered, frigid vapor leaving his mouth as he was met with the relieving warm temperatures. His golden-amber eyes crossed to meet yours, his lower lids creasing upwards to the sight of you, a nervous smile rested upon his face.
â âM telling ya, the universe was just waiting to pelt me in the face with all this wind. Nipping at my face âtill it turned all red.â
If the pinkish-red spread across his sharp features didnât stick out enough, the poor excuse he used was a bit obvious. Hawks really hoped you wouldnât notice just how desperate he was to see you again.
You wondered if his wings were subtly trembling from the cold or his nerves.
He didnât really expect you to text him back, in fact, he spent the last 2 months drifting off while on his shifts, thinking and thinking how to impress you but in a casual way.
Not desperate and too wanting, but at the same time reciprocating his feelings for youâ
âYeah, right? Nearly falling on my ass every time I come into work. Not much of an issue for you though, hm?â
Hawks let out a low chuckle, sniffling and bringing his hand to lightly rub his reddened nose.
âFortunately not. Butâ anyway, sorry for just asking to come in on such short notice. I just wanted to .. talk to âya.â
The faint scratch of raspiness in his voice indicated that he mustâve caught a small cold, presumably from the strengthening winter, but at the same time he sounded almost ashamed.
You shrugged, curving your lips into a dimpled smile, âNo worries! Really, I actually need help with something, but we can come back to that after breakfast.â
A quirk of his eyebrow accompanied his half-hidden shock, a cute little expression of bewilderment.
âOh? Are you sure? I know Iâm the one usually expected to nag at my colleagues, but I really donât want to drag you out from work.â
âOf course, donât worry. I donât actually have to start working until like 8.â You assured him sweetly, gesturing him forward with the hot drinks.
He nodded silently as he placed the cups down on the counter, pulling up a stool opposite from you. Additionally, he grabbed out a brown crumply bag that had been tucked under his arm.
Your eyes lit up when you read the imprinted, « 2 CHOC CROISSANT » on the sticker.
As you took your first few sips and bites, the silence only grew and resided in the air. You cleared your throat.
âHey, I know we arenât, yâknow, that close, but if thereâs something bothering you, Iâm here to listen. You seem to be a little quiet.â
Black pupils flickered up to your face as he was mid-bite into his pastry. âMm-h.. I kno. Is jsst.. âm nat mch âff a mrng⊠â he then swallowed rather hard, âIâm not much of a morning person.â
You laughed at his muffled response, sparking an adoring glint in Hawksâ eyes. Heâd humiliate himself a thousand times more if it meant he could hear your laugh again.
He continued, setting down his croissant on his napkin below, âHonestly, I came here initially to see you, but I feel like I gotta apologize for leaving you with nothing from me the past months.â
You kept quiet, intrigued in what he wanted to say and let him continue.
âI havenât.. Iâve never had this sort of frienâconnection before. And, hahâ itâs quite ironic how everyone describes me to be such a smooth-talker, but here I am, suddenly not knowing how to form a coherent sentence.â
He averted his gaze from your own, his leg bouncing nonstop.
âYouâre just.. simply a fresh breath of air from the world iâm caged in. I.. canât really explain it.â
âYou donât have to,â you comforted, âi find myself thinking about you too,â you confessed into your croissant, hesitant to let your voice exceed from your low volume.
Hawksâ breath hitched when he heard those words. He hadnât felt this tense before, a foreign feeling churning in his stomach.
It wasnât helping that you looked so alluring under the warm light. So sweet, so consoling. Although it was still dark out, your eyes managed to have that shiny gloss from the soft lights.
âI promise, if we had met under different circumstances, I wouldnât be such a mess right now. âS not like my character,â he grinned with a hint of more confidence, tinkering with the golden ring on his middle finger.
âTo me, it doesnât matter what the rest of the world thinks of your character, I think your own sweet self is enough.â
Owlishly, he stared at you, speechless to your statement, as if you spoke a different language to him. He chewed at the last piece of his morning dessert, lost in thought (planning your future wedding).
âGuess theres some truth in there.â
You continued munching at your breakfast, your winged visitor patiently waiting until nothing but crumbs were left on the table.
 ââșââ .Â
The consistent ticks of the antique rose-patterned clock hung on the wall became subtle background noise, a nice drumming in stark contrast to the awkward silence.
Swiping your palms against eachother, making sure your hands smeared off any stubborn crumbs in the crevices of your hand, you took note of the time displayed on the clockâs hands. 7:25
Your head turned anxiously back to Hawks, him peering towards you as you opened your mouth to say something, but nothing coming out.
âWhatâs going on in that peculiar little mind of yours?â asked the hero, propping his arms flat against his table to rest his head on them.
You hated the amount of questions he asked, it was practically violatingâliterally intentional to spill every secret out of you. He wanted to listen to every inconvenience you had.
Mumbling, you started, âItâs just that.. I feel a little guilty that Iâm going to ask you for a favor like this when you could be out there, saving the day instead of being cooped up in here.â
Perking his head up in surprise, he argued without hesitation, âNo no, Iâd rather be held as hostage here for the rest of the day if it were up âta me. There canât be anything in this shop too rough for me.â
A godsend he was. Really, if he could choose, heâd spend the rest of his life in this wonderland of a shop youâve decorated.
âOkay,â you breathed out, âI need help putting up the Christmas tree.â
âSo thatâs what was missing in this place, âswear it was on the tip of my tongue,â his smooth tone shifted quickly to be teasingly warm, drawing a smile out of you, âLetâs do it then.â
 ââșââ .Â
Attaching all the hooks that resembled tree branches into the base and circling behind each other around the tree, twirling incandescent lights that swirled from top to bottom, the two of you stepped back to admire your hard work.
A delicate tree, but simple in all the right ways. It wouldnât be too distracting yet would get the âChristmasâ point across to all the customers.
Hawks nudged at your arm with his shoulder, a proud grin presented on his face, âThis completes the holly and jollyness in this store. Feels like im in santaâs workshop now.â
His now vibrant and eager energy lifted the concerns pressing on your chest about him.
A tingling thought in the back of your head suspected he wasnât grumbly only because he hates waking up so early.
Preciously gazing at the tree, you smiled shyly, âI know. I feel like this time of year goes by too fast, but itâs so beautiful.â
âMhm,â the winged hero hummed out, his eyes lingering upon your figure as you went to adjust some of the crooked ornaments, âVery beautiful.â
Was there any reason why he suddenly felt so warm in his sweater? The heater couldnât have been blasting that badly, right?
Itâs not like he could have controlled the way he darted between each feature of your face, your hands, your style of apparel that just matched your personality perfectly.
He even worried that if he got too lost in your presence, his wings would begin to curl around you, cradling you into a soft cocoon-like embrace.
Yeah, he did not want to picture your weirded-out reactionâ
His ringtone began beeping erratically from his pant pocket sending a walloping dread in his stomach, cursing under his breath.
Whipping your head back from the abrupt noise, you sighed, a reminder for you as well that your dozen hundred chores were about to commence.
Fumbling for his phone in a hurry to turn off the annoying sound, his other hand covered his lower-face, visibly cringing at the fact he had to actually clock in today.
He almost flinched when he felt your hands rubbing circles against his shoulder, consoling him, âShouldâve expected it sooner or later.â
âHate that. All this, âhave to move it later,â âitâs getting late,â âshouldâa known it had âta end.â I donât think âs fair.â
âMe either, it really isnât.â
Hawksâ hand slowly traced down to your wrist before gently grasping your fingers as his thumb reassuringly rubbed against your knuckles.
Widened eyes focused onto your face, his expression more serious and determined, âThereâs no way Iâm leaving making the same mistake as before, i canât,â he paused, âpromise Iâll respond to your texts and take you out on a proper date, with a whole bouquet of roses and everything.â
You smiled back up at him sweetly, awestruck at his commitment, almost like you were in a dream, âI think that sounds lovely. I can take care of the flowers, though.â
Shaking his head, he grinned back, âMaybe, but I wanna do this the right way. No more coming and going every season.â You nodded your head at that, completely giving in.
 ââșââ .Â
The two of you made your way to the main doors, just a few minutes to 8:30. All bundled up, Hawks held a small wrapped bouquet of camellias, his large hands crumpling the wrapping paper.
âBye, [name]. Youâre a real sweet girl for putting up with my ridiculous antics.â
âBye, Hawks, I try. Be safe! Donât slip on your way out!â He rolled your eyes at you sheepishly as he was halfway out the door, when you stopped him, tugging at his arm.
âAh. . . Wait,â you uttered, holding the material of his jacket with uncertainty in your body language. He hummed in confusion and faced you.
Stepping closer, a quick tilt of your head leaned toward his face, surprising him before you pecked his warm cheek and pushed him out the store, rushing into the back room.
Looking back, astonished, his rough fingers hovered over the spot where you kissed him, a blush fading onto his already hot cheeks.
He turned to the road, beginning to walk down until he reached the end of the sidewalk to take off to his agency, prying at his phone to pin your contact at the top of his messages.

You choke back a laugh as a very focused Eri puts yet another sticker on Hitoshiâs face.Â
Snacks and pillows are strewn around the inside of the blanket fort the three of you finished building moments before. Stiller than a rock, your calm best friend sits there cross-legged so that Eri can give him a makeover of unicorns, stars, and rainbows.Â
âDo you think he looks pretty yet?â Eri tilts her head at you.
âLike a real-life princess.â You giggle. âGood job, Eri!âÂ
âYay!â She happily high fives the hand you hold up for her. âDo you feel pretty yet, Hito-nii?â
âI feel so bonita.â Hitoshi deadpans, sending you two into another fit of giggles.
âYou were pretty already, Toshi,â you coo, rubbing a thumb over the sticker of a cat making sushi on his cheekbone. Mr. Aizawa must have bought that one for her.
Hitoshi pretends to shyly gaze at you from under his long lashes. âAw, really?â
His lips curve into a lazy smile, and a heat that youâre all too familiar with rises up your neck, you turn awayâa little too quickly, to Hitoshiâs amusement.
âNevermind youâre ugly.â
He laughs and the heat creeps up to your cheeks.
Such a simple sound, yet that soft, husky voice of his always manages to make your insides a mushy mess, even when you had painfully tripped over his cat, Celery, when he transferred and first moved into the dorms with your class.
The normally stoic, reserved purple-haired boy had doubled over with an uncontrollable wheeze, supporting himself on the sofa as your groaning self was sprawled across the floor.Â
God, they were lucky they were both cute.
Yet, you couldnât help but smile as he reached a hand out to help you up, the other still covering his mouth.Â
That was the first time you made him laugh, and now, youâve heard it so many times that you could finally stop counting on both your handsâ fingers but you still wanted more.
âWant me to paint your nails, Eri?â You ask, scooting over to your bedroomâs drawer.Â
You open it, your own light blue nails painted a color that reminds you of the sea against the pastel pink of the treasure box you take out. It had a heart-shaped diamond on the latch.Â
The heavy box was filled with a collection of nail polish the girls in your class usually used for their sleepovers as well, and new bottles, mostly varying shades of apple red, started mysteriously appearing the day after Eri said she had never gotten painted her nails before.Â
âYes!â Eriâs eyes sparkle. âCan I please have matchy nails with Hito-nii?â
âOf course, sweetie.â You smile. She was adorable.Â
Hitoshi rubs the back of his neck. âYou sure you want yours black this time, Eri?â
âYes!â She huffs stubbornly. âLike dadâs clothes and those things under your eyes!â
âHey!â He protests. She shares a mischievous look with you and you both giggle, catching the pillow Hitoshi gently throws at you.Â
âOreo wouldnât treat me like this.â Hitoshi reaches out to ruffle Eriâs hair and she squeals in protest, batting his hand away.Â
Eri holds up the oversized panda plushie he was talking about. It was comically bigger than her, and you had to bite back a laugh.
The moment you two spotted it in the claw machine outside Shinsouâs favorite cat cafe near campus, you knew you had to win it to add to her ever growing collection of stuffed animals.
With a grin, you remember the huge sigh of relief Shinsou let out when it finally fell into the chute.
âDuh he wouldnât âcause youâre his twin!â
Hitoshi mock gasps. âTake that back.â And tickles her neck, barely dodging as you throw the pillow he threw earlier back at him.Â
âWoah!â
Except much, much harder.
âDonât worry Eri, I'll protect you!â You grab another nearby pillow and throw it at him, which he easily catches in mid-air with one hand like it was a frisbee.
âAw.â You pout. Mr. Aizawa was training him a little too good now.
Eri pats your arm to console you. âItâs okay I appre-sheeâapree-sheeââ
âAppreciate?â You offer, and her face brightens as she nods.
âAppree-shee-ate. You. For trying.â She finishes shyly.
âAw, thank you Eri. I appreciate you too.âÂ
Hitoshiâs eyes soften at the sight of you two.Â
âWhat about me?â
You scowl. âYou can go duck yourself, Toshi.â
âLove you too.â
Eri suddenly gasps.Â
âDad says that to Uncle Zashi too!â
Despite already knowing the answer, Hitoshi and you turn to look at her suspiciously.
ââŠWhich one?â
As if he knows youâre talking about him, Aizawa yells down the hallway.
âEri, brats, pizzaâs here!â
âââââââââÂ
âCan I have another hug?â Hitoshi asks coyly after class one day.Â
The bell had just rung, and you roll your eyes at his leaning form on the wall of the almost empty hallway.Â
Everyone was leaving for lunch.
Except you two, but that was Hitoshiâs fault.
âI just gave you one!â
âOh no.â He places a dramatic palm to his forehead. âI think Iâm going to pass out because of someone if I donât get a hug in the next five seconds.â
âGreedy ass.â You sigh, wrapping your arms around his waist.Â
He hides a grin, shuffling closer to close the gap between your bodies.Â
Hitoshi smells like fresh linen with hints of sunshine, probably from his daily bike ride he took around campus before class started, and the coffee he brewed this morning.Â
A sense of comfort settles into your bones as the familiar scent envelopes you, and you breathe it in.Â
He softly tucks your head under his chin as you nuzzle your face deeper into his chest, your headache from taking the quiz in Ectoplasmâs class earlier now long gone.
âDid you know that when cats see that it's raining outside a window, they go to another window in the same room to check if it's still raining outside?â Hitoshi randomly whispers.
âI did not know that.â You giggle. His lips feel ticklish on your hair. âDoes Celery do that too?â
âAll the time.â Hitoshi grins. âI have a video from yesterdayâs storm, Iâll show you in the cafeteria.â
âOoh okay!â
He straightens, and takes your hand, your fingers easily lacing through his as you both start to head in the direction of the dining hall.Â
When you trip over nothing, he snorts, already expecting it, and catches your waist before you take a fall that will be difficult for your ego and your knees to recover from.
âCareful,â he says as you clutch onto his school uniform in relief, and you swear that already deep, smooth voice of his drops an octave on purpose, almost sending you to the ground again.
Hitoshiâs thumb is still tracing small circles on the back of your hand as the both of you join the line for the traditional school lunch. You could try a different cuisine tomorrow. On todayâs menu was miso seaweed soup with a side of grilled fish and a milk bread roll along with, of course, rice.
You feel a vibration on the side of your leg, and for the umpteenth time this school year you thank UA for adding pockets to the school uniformâs skirts as you slip your phone out. The jellyfish charm Hitoshi got for your birthday last year dangles from your case.
Surprise, surprise, itâs the class group chat.

Hitoshi bites back a laugh as your widened eyes meet his, glancing up from your phone.
âNot dating, huh?â He grins.
You groan and pinch his arm. âI panicked okay! I didnât know what to tell them.â
âHmm, do you want me to?â
âI mean, only if you want to.â You shyly play with his fingers.Â
âI kind of like us being a secret from them for a little longer. It feels⊠nice.â
Hitoshi smiles. âI know what you mean.â He wrinkles his nose. âThough theyâre so nosy it looks like they figured it out already.â
âPffft, yeah.â Mina could definitely sniff out a relationship from miles away, no matter how much PDA you tried to sneakily do in empty hallways.
Hitoshi squeezes your hand in reassurance.
âI like it too.â He leans over, and your eyes are forced to meet the dark violet of his.
The side of Hitoshiâs soft-looking lips, courtesy of the strawberry chapstick he stole from you before class this morning, quirk up as he looks down at you with soft eyes, the ones he reserves for you and random cats he sees on the road.
âChapstick thief,â you mutter.
âOh, you want it back?â Hitoshi grins. âKiss it off me then.â
Your cheeks grown warm. âNot here!â
âGood,â He smirks.
âI prefer keeping you all to myself, anyway.â
   âââââââââÂ
âWhatâs wrong?âÂ
Heâs crouching down so that your eyes have no choice but to meet his from your spot on the bean bag.
He gently pushes the switch in your hands down to your lap and pokes your thigh. You squirm away ticklishly.Â
âTell me.â
âNo.â You huff, picking your switch back up. âI just wanna play Stardew, leave me alone.â
âDarling.â
Your face flushes at the pet name, and he smirks. His secret weapon still works without fail. Hitoshi didnât even need to activate his quirk to have you under his thumb.Â
âYouâre not going to feel better if you keep it in. Tell me whatâs wrong.â
His nails are still pink, you faintly notice, trying to distract yourself from your very attractive, very insistent boyfriend in front of you with his comforting hands placed on your thighs.
You painted his left hand, and Eri painted his right at the last sleepover you had together. She had insisted that he should match nails with her this time, since she matched with him last week.
It was already terrible and impressive that Hitoshi was a people-reader, even worse that he knew what to do to make you fold so easily and open up.
Curse you Hitoshi, you and your disposition for healthy communication.
You should have never recommended that therapist to him.
âI donât know,â you finally mumble. He tilts his head, showing you that heâs listening.Â
âI just feel like I donât deserve it.â
âDeserve what, sweetheart?â He asks. The softness in his voice is unbearable and what you've been bottling up for weeks finally spills out.
âI feel like I donât deserve it when good things happen to me.â
Hitoshi blinks, then lets out a snort. Which turns into a full blown laugh coming from his chest.
You shove his face away and he falls on his butt, still chuckling.Â
âYouâre making fun of me!â You say indignantly.
âSorry, sorry, I justââ He coughs, and takes a breath to recollect himself.Â
âYou say a lot of dumb shit and I think that's the worst thing Iâve heard you say.â
You pout. âIâm feeling very invalidated right now.â Hitoshi rolls his eyes, and his hands reclaim their spot on your skin, except this time heâs gently cupping your face in his hands.Â
Heâs not used to comforting people, but you can see that heâs trying. Â
âYouâre beautiful,â he whispers, and you inhale sharply. âYouâre kind, youâre intelligent, and I see you try so hard everyday. You always do a good job when you set your sights on something. Why donât you deserve good things?â
âI donât know.â Your gaze is numbly pinned to the silver chain around his neck, the one with a little crescent moon on it that he wears everyday, not even taking it off when he goes to sleep. The one you gave to him.Â
âThatâs okay.â
His thumbs caress your cheeks, and you think you can breathe a little easier.Â
âLet's think of it this way,â Hitoshi says, still cupping your cheeks, grounding you. âItâs not about whether you deserve it or not. Do you want it?â
You finally meet his eyes, and answer with a voice shakier than youâd like it to be.Â
âI do. I want good things for myself.â
âAtta girl,â Hitoshi says with a proud quirk of his lips.Â
You stare at him, your heart suspended in your chest, feeling better but still looking a bit unsure.
Hitoshi notices this from the way you start biting the inside of your cheek, and he leans his forehead against yours. You freeze.Â
He smells like fruit, like freshly washed blueberries and those ripe strawberries in the kitchen in the dormâs fridge. âThatâs more than enough. We can work from there.â
Thereâs still a worried furrow between your eyebrows.
âCome on, sweetheart. We can go to the aquarium you love this weekend.â
He smirks as you perk up at that, drinking up the rare, shy expression suddenly on your face again, and leans down to your ear.Â
âYouâre so easy,â Hitoshi whispers.Â
You grumble, you could hear that stupid grin in his voice.
âSorry, I can't hear you with your face in my chest.â
You raise your head to glare at him and his heart soars. There was his girl.
God, his smug face was starting to irritate you more and more. "I said that if you were my husband I'd poison your tea!"Â
âIf you were my wife, I'd drink it."

âCelery?â You mutter, rubbing your bleary eyes. âWhat are you doing?â
âMrow.â The cat continues eating the slice of⊠pizza? On your chest.
It looks like the one that you and Hitoshi ordered earlier after quizzing each other for Present Micâs exam.
Â
âI love you so much but I am so confused.â

CELERU
Not even five minutes later, heâs knocking on the door to your room. You open it, and the sight of a very sleepy looking Hitoshi greets you. His already unruly bedhead is even messier than usual and youâre pretty sure heâs wearing his shirt backwards. Did he put it on before coming over?Â
Wait.
You blink, long and hard, banishing the thoughts of a groggy, very shirtless Hitoshi lying in his bed, with the light of his phone screen illuminating his handsome features as he replies to your text. Those four hours of sleep must finally be hitting you.
Hitoshi sees you blinking, and takes it as a sign youâre still in shock at the pizza monster in your lap.
He gives an awkward pat to your shoulder in reassurance.
âI think this is just how she shows affection.â Hitoshi stares down at Celery fondly.
The way you stroke her fur so softly makes his chest feel warm and tingly.
âDoes she eat leftover pizza off your chest at three in the morning?â
â...No.â
âHah. She said she likes me better. â You smirk victoriously. âIsnât that right sweetie?â
The calico cat purrs as you scratch her ears, a bit of tomato sauce under her chin. Hitoshi exaggeratedly puts his hand over his heart at this scene of betrayal.
âSeriously? Celery, I took you off those streets and raised you like I was the one pregnant with you for nine months.â
âMrow.â She bumps her head against your hand.
âPfft, give it up Toshi. Itâs time for you to hand over the adoption papers.â
Hitoshi rubs the back of his neck. âOr we could just share custody.â
âWhat?â Your cheeks grow warm. âYou want me to be her mom?â
âI mean you kind of already are. Look at her,â he says, eyes softening as he looks at the two of you.Â
Celery has her paw on your arm. After eating until her little tummy was full, she was already starting to doze off.
âShe takes after me.â
You let out a derisive snort.
âYeah you looked just like that after our binge marathon today too."
âNot in that way.â
He smirks at your confused reaction.
âThen what do you meanââ
At that moment, Celery decides itâs the perfect time to snuggle into your tank top, smearing whatâs left of the pizza on her face all over it.
Hitoshiâs eyes widen. He laughs, covering his mouth.
Youâve never been so glad you chose to wear black to sleep.
   âââââââââÂ
âTrouble child, youâre here.â
âHi Mr. Aizawa.â You roll your eyes. âWhen are you going to stop calling me that, itâs getting old.â
âWhen you stop getting into trouble.â
âOkay, thatâs fair.â
âThe kidâs almost ready.â He snorts. âAbout damn time. Been up since six.â
âHe has?â Your eyes widen. âFor what?â
Your teacher smirks. âNerves. Isnât this his, what, tenth time taking you out though?â
A flustered Hitoshi suddenly appears from behind him with a light pink dusting his cheeks and steers Aizawa back to the door. âO-okay dad thatâs enough.âÂ
Heâs cutely dressed in a soft-looking grey cardigan over a white shirt and black wide-legged pants.Â
This had to be the most boyfriend heâs looked, ever, and he looked very boyfriend all of the time.Â
âHitoshi?â You do a little twirl for him in your own outfit. âFire or nah?â
He looks up from his phone, where heâs googling the bus route to the aquarium, except his eyes linger. Without skipping a beat, he responds.
 âFire.â
âToshi, youâre staring.â
âOf course Iâm staring.â He says it with a tone like 'what else would I be doing?'
You shyly fidget with the edge of your shorts. âWhy?â
âBecause youâre beautiful.â
Hitoshi reaches out a hand, like he hasn't just casually left you breathless, and his own eyes soften as he notices your starry-eyed look.Â
âLetâs go, you crybaby.â
âDamn. I was going to say you look handsome too, but I donât remember being the one who sobbed my eyes out watching Your Name last night.â
The tips of his ears turn red.
âShut up.â
âWas like our fifth rewatch too.â
âShut up before I kiss you.â
"Is that a threat or a promise?"
"Both."
â§âË đ â© âË đ âč đŒ
Hitoshiâs lips twitch as he sees your eyes light up at the sight of the sign pointing in the jellyfish exhibitâs direction. âYouâre adorable.â
âThanks.â You grin. âYouâre slow.â
You take him by the arm, your brain faintly registering how muscular his bicep is despite holding it so many times, and drag him along.Â
In their tanks, the glow of the moon jellies fills the darkness in front of them as other visitors murmur around you two in awe. Blue light reflects off the water and through the glass, illuminating your boyfriendâs dreamy features and you canât help but admire how pretty he looks.
Hitoshi turns from watching the jellyfish to face you, fingers now lacing through yours. You donât look away.Â
A soft smile flickers across his face when he catches you staring at him.
âThis reminds me of when we first met.â
You smile. You remember. He was the one Mina relentlessly teased you for staring at, which you completely denied at the time.
âWhyâre you so thirsty?â You remember her whispering into your ear at the Sports Festival in your first year. The both of you were sitting in your classâs designated spots in the stands.
Your eyes had widened, scandalized.Â
âI am not!â
âPlease. Youâre totally staring at him.â
âWho?â
âShinsou Hitoshi.â She grinned. âCute, right?â
Of course she paid attention when they announced his name specifically.Â
You could never remember anyoneâs, and she probably saw you looking at his picture for a little too long when it appeared on the Jumbotronâs screen, announcing that his match with Oijiro was about to begin.Â
âNot really,â you lied, a bad attempt at feigning disinterest.Â
Like your eyes hadnât been trailing down his lean figure the moment his next match started.Â
Or noticing how attractive it was the way he casually folded his arms when he taunted Midoriya, or wondering in your mind if his perpetual bed-head was as soft as it looks.Â
Mina turned to you, smirking at your slightly dazed expression.
âReally? Then you wouldnât mind if I told him you had some questions about his quirk and wanted to talk about it after this, riiight?â
âWhat?â You shake your head furiously. âI mean his quirk is really interesting butâugh Mina, no!âÂ
âFor the plot!â She waggled her eyebrows.
You nudged her knee with a huff. âIâm breaking up with you.â
âNooo, Iâm kidding, Iâm kidding.â Mina eyed you cheekily. âI wonât call him over.â
âOh thank god.â
âBut only if you admit heâs your type.â
You groan. âOkay fine. I think heâs hot, happy?â
âVery.â Your best friend laughs, pure happiness indeed written all over her face. You can see the matchmaking gears already turning in her head. âI just know you too well, babe.â
You roll your eyes. âSometimes I really wish you didnât.â
âCome on, you guys would be so cute together though.â She sighs dreamily. âForensic sight and mind-control? Plus youâre both hot as fuck? Talk about a power couple.â
â....I think Iâm going to go sit with Yaomomo instead.â
Recalling the memory, you laugh. âI know, we kept accidentally making eye contact with each other after your second match because our seats were right across from each other.â
âThat awkward prolonged eye contact in the stands mightâve been how I started crushing on you.â
You smirk. âYou had a crush on me? That's so embarrassing.â
âI know.â He rolls his eyes, softly tucking a stray hair behind your ear. âWorst decision of my life.â
You hold Hitoshiâs hand tighter as you step closer to his side to get a better view of the tank.Â
âGlad the feeling is mutual.âÂ
You spot it before he does.
âOh my god Toshi. We need to get this for Eri.â
He spins around from the collection of the aquariumâs official shirts for sale, a shirt with a print of a whale shark in his hands.Â
âWhaâoh my god.â
Hitoshi stares at the giant penguin plushie youâre holding in front of you.Â
It was bigger than youâno, bigger than him even.
âNot sure if itâs going to fit on the train home, but weâll make it work.â
   âââââââââÂ
"Can you teach me how to draw a unicorn too, Eri?" Hitoshi asks.
You had already asked Eri before him seconds ago so you stick your tongue out at Hitoshi, mouthing âcopycat,â and he tilts his head down to quickly kiss your neck, making you giggle.Â
He still has a pink bow wrapped around his bicep from when you three played dress up an hour ago, and you fight the urge to laugh again at how silly he looks.
Eri is too focused on her drawings to care about either of you, and after she scribbles around a little more, she turns to face her older brother.
âYeah!â She hands him a red crayon. âOkay, so first you draw half of a circle.â
Hitoshi follows Eriâs instructions.
He lifts his hand, which nearly covers the paper, to reveal a red âCâ that looks like it got run over by a truck.
âNo, no not like that! Erase it.â She frowns disapprovingly, hands on her hips. âYouâre really bad at this Hito-nii.â
âPlease Eri-sensei. I'm trying my best.â
âTry harder!â She turns away with a huff, then peers over at your paper.Â
âOoh yours looks so good!â Eri claps, and you smile proudly.Â
âItâs all thanks to you, Eri.â You reach out to fix her pigtail that was starting to slip out of the cat-patterned scrunchie, and she giggles, holding still for you.Â
Hitoshi grumbles. âThis smells like favoritism.â
âThatâs âcause your unicorn looks Celeryâs poop!â Eri chirps. Then she runs away to the kitchen right before you double over in laughter at Hitoshiâs extremely offended face, clutching onto his broad shoulders for support.Â
âShe said your drawing looks like shit!â You snort, and he groans.
Celeryâs ears perk up in Hitoshiâs lap and she meows, looking in your direction. You hold out your arms. âCelery, you want uppies?â
She ignores them and decides to sit in your lap instead, purring softly.
âMrow.â
âYeah? And then what?â You coo, gently rubbing her fuzzy forehead, and her eyes close in contentment.
She mewls again, pawing at your sock and you laugh.
âOkay, okay Iâll tell him.âÂ
Looking up at Hitoshi, he tilts his head the same way Celery does when you talk to her.Â
You bite back a laugh, youâre not sure whoâs the cat in the room at this point.
âWhat did she say?â He asks you curiously.
All you do is blink slowly at him in response.
Hitoshiâs brows knit in confusion.
Then his eyes widen, a soft pink starting to color his cheeks.
Shyly, he slowly blinks back.
Suddenly, the gray-haired girl comes back from the kitchen, apples Aizawa sliced like rabbits for her on a plate in her hands.Â
Youâre still slowly blinking at each other as she walks through the door.
Eri looks at the both of you weirdly.
âWhat are you two doing?â
âMrow.â

Ooh, excellent question! Poor Hawks, he can't catch a break, can he?
Characters: Takami Keigo/Hawks
Contents: fake dating, angst
Takami Keigo/Hawks
This is absolutely the kind of stunt the Commission would try to pull. Hawks, like most high-ranking Pro Heroes will have a publicist and chances are high for that person either working for the Commission directly or the PR agency being a third-party contractor of the Commission. Once they have their hooks in you, they do not let you go.Â
For whatever reason, they decide their top Pro needs to be seen to be dating another Pro Hero. Maybe the other Pro has tanking ratings or itâs part of some deeper game. Whatever it is, Hawks doesnât have much choice but to go along with it.
Another factor is whether or not the Commission knows youâre in a relationship with Hawks. He might have no choice to tell them, but I feel that if there was an opportunity to keep you a secret from them, he would. He doesnât want them to have control over your life as well as his. And Iâm sure heâd want to have a piece of his life thatâs just for him, not for the Commissionâs goals or the publicâs consumption.Â
It causes him no small amount of angst, having to sit you down and explain to you what theyâre going to make him do. He dreads having to tell you, having to see the look on your face when you hear that heâll be posing as some other personâs boyfriend. Itâs hard enough, having to share him with the Commission and his endless work and his ravenous fans. Now you have to watch him post couple pics on Instagram with someone else. Or go on cute little dates where the paparazzi just so happen to stumble across the two heroes enjoying totally not sponsored smoothies.Â
Itâs maddening, to say the least. Hawks hates every second of it.Â
While heâs not rude or hostile to the person heâs fake-dating, heâs not his usual lively, flirtatious self, because he knows every minute he spends with them is affecting you. His very little free time is being eaten up by this media-pandering bullshit, and he hates it.
There are a few ways he can go about making things easier.Â
One, heâll never take fake-girlfriend anywhere that he takes you. Your favourite little haunts and hangouts will never be tarnished by a photoshoot that ends up splashed across the front of Hero Weekly.Â
Two, heâs honest with the fake-girlfriend. She has to know this is just a business arrangement, a contractual obligation. He already has a partner, and heâll only be doing the bare minimum to make it look real for the cameras.
Three, heâll set a deadline on it with the Commission. He can swing it by saying that all this prancing around for the cameras is affecting his performance. Howâs he supposed to fight villains if he has to spend all his time doing photoshoots with Ultragleam or Mochigirl, or whoever they want to set him up with this week.Â
Four, he can try and introduce the fake-girlfriend to you, so thereâs no weird feeling of sneaking around. So you can set your own boundaries on what you are and arenât comfortable with.
Despite all this? Itâs still gonna suck.
Thereâs no way it doesnât hurt to see your boyfriend posting cutesy photos with another hero. Fans will be gushing on social media, coming up with ship names, posting edits with sparkly effects and slow-mo reverb love songs playing over the top, filled with comments like âOMG THE WAY HE LOOKS AT HER!âÂ
The only way to make it bearable is to imagine heâs playing a character, like heâs the male lead in a romantic K-Drama, and fake-girlfriend is just his co-star. Itâs true, in a way. Even if theyâre attending events together and posting (staged) shots on the beach, holding hands, itâs all fake.Â
When he comes home to you after a long day of patrolling, exhausted after an intense villain fight, and collapses facedown on the couch, head on your lap, wings askew, only to tiredly ask about your day and beg you to order chicken skewers? Thatâs real.Â
LMAO AINT NO WAY
he got that sass thrown back in his face in approximately 3 minutes (jayvik and the ugly fuck singed as sonic 3)
PLS THIS IS SO GOOD AND FUNNY ToT
they're actually dumbass 1 and dumbass 2. I wanna sucker punch both keigo and reader here ugh anws I'm so sleepy <3 teenage hawks x reader texts p3!!
btw I got a free hawks shirt on saturday, and it got me thinking...
I genuinely think he'd be offended if he were to come home and find you wearing his merch, but in a really childish, pouty not-actually-upset-but-I'm-gonna-milk-it-for-affection way.
"baby! why would you wear that when you have the real deal in your arms almost every night?"
"sweetheart, why are you laughing at me, this is extremely distressing. you literally have MY shirts lying around the room, why do you need one with my face on it?!"
"well I bet it doesn't smell like me- hey! what do you mean, 'thank goodness for that'?"
he definitely chases you around the house trying to get you into one of his shirts.
but then it turns into...
"wait- please don't tell me you paid full price for that, I could have gotten you one for free if you wanted one that badly."
"what do you mean you got it for free anyways? who's giving my shirts out for free???" *confused birdbrain*
"babe, I literally could have gotten you the unreleased stuff. They always offer me pre-release items, but I've always said no, cause what am I gonna do with a ton of merch of my own face? I'm not that conceited."
he also totally doesn't "forgive you for your sins" immediately after you start cooing at him and planting kisses all over his face to apologize to him. totally not, he's much stronger than that.
then he gets smug and a little proud that you love him so much that you actually want to rep him.
"of course you wanted my merch, you're just that into me, hmm?" as he's leaning in to kiss you properly, hoping his dopey, lovesick expression isn't shining through too much.
just wait until he gets home a few days early one day and realizes when he's on missions you fall asleep cuddling a stuffed toy version of him. then the cycle starts all over again and there will be hell to pay.
god he's so annoying I'm so in love with him.
HELL YEAHAHHH
The reader being a well known artist on social media, and Hawks is a fan.
So, you make your way into a small local coffee shop, and Hawks is trying to lay low there and get some coffee before his nightly patrol.Â
You notice him and see this as a perfect opportunity to make him a small sketch. (you too, are a hawks fan)
About 15-20 minutes go by and your coffee has gone cold. You look up and notice Hawks is packing up ready to go.Â
You rushed the final details and scurry over to get the drawing to him.
Once you approach him he welcomes you with that famous smile of his. He catches a glimpse at the crinkled piece of paper in your hands.
You mentioned that you were a fan of his and wanted to make a quick sketch for him, just a nice gesture.
His eyes practically light up when you show him the piece, he adored the linework and the way you perfectly captured his wings. He said it looked familiar somehowâŠLike heâd seen this sort of style before.
âAre you [insert username]â by any chance?â You were stunned- did he follow your page somehow? âYes I am!â you said, maybe a little too excitedly.
âIs that so? Iâve been following your page for a while now, Your work is amazing!â Hawks beamed and checked his watch. âI have to go on patrol now, but Iâd love to contact you about your work, if that's okay!" He beamed. You gave him a quick nod, and he scattered for a pen to give you his business card lol.
(I made this headcanon while talking to a friend of mine who is also a hawks simp and it was so fun lol)
