Guyyyyysss, the newest WH update is less than a week away! I'm so excited!! Are y'all?! This project is so absolutely stellar, and I can't wait to see what fresh wonderment Clown and the Team created! :D

•The one time I went on a trip overseas we got laid over and missed out on touring a river because there was too much rain. My luggage went missing for a while, too.

It’s me again totally not OJ to bring more illegal questions withhhh CHARACTER CHOICES!!! Ody is an obvious pick I feel so I’m curious more on your favorite(s) side characters!

Ooooo, this is a good one!! Rahhh, there's so many choices lolol. But I think I'll have to say that some of my favorites are Hermes, Eurylochus, and Polites! I feel like these are basic answers, but I like 'em lots :3

I also know you didn't ask for reasons as to Why these folks are my faves, but I wanna yap more, sooo! Here! Yapping under the cut!

Hermes is the only one besides Athena who's actually helpful to Ody, plus he's like a funny little pigeon to me lol. His songs are also super groovy! I'm always drawn to the silly guys of medias I consume, so this is no different- XP

Eurylochus is a very nuanced lad that I like to think about, given that he's the voice of the crew and is someone who could've easily been more mutinous from the start, but wasn't! He's Odysseus' brother, second in command, and someone Ody can trust, which makes his descent into hunger and desperation all the more impactful!! They're excellent foils to each other and show the two sides of what being far away from home for so long will do to a person. It isn't that Ody is more steadfastly devoted to the idea of Home as Eury is (though it is Ody's key motivation and he's willing to do ANYTHING to get there), but that Eurylochus knows with how much they've all suffered it's important to maintain a realistic worldview. And that it's important to not have as much hubris as Ody has shown in the past by thinking he's above consequences and can make any sacrifice he sees fit! Cuz how I see it is that in "Mutiny," when Ody is like, "You would've done the same as I have," and Eury says, "If you want all the power, you also have to take the blame," that's Eurylochus trying in a final, fruitless attempt to get through to Odysseus and warn him that this world is full of dangers and you can't get away with treating people you're supposed to be the leader of like pawns just to get home. EVERYONE was supposed to live, however, as time went on, that simply wasn't feasible anymore given the hardships you've faced, but you wouldn't expect your Captain of all people to cave and become part of your crew's destruction. I dunno, man, I just think he's neat!

Polites is also a fun one who I feel gets oversimplified by the fandom pretty often just cuz he's not there for long and his worldview is (in a way) too positive for the circumstances, but I believe he, like Eurylochus, contains nuance! Y'know when you've gone through tough times or a bad experience and you're finally at a place where you can feel good again? Yeah, I think Polites is that flavor of lad, and also wants to convince Odysseus of the same! Ody doesn't HAVE to lead with war strategies anymore, because their mission is just to get home now. So, why not greet the world with Open Arms? You can dispense kindness back into your life to make up for the hardships you've faced, cuz you don't want to grow bitter or be consumed by guilt. Too bad the world isn't always as ideal as we hope it is! One bonk later and suddenly you're doomed to haunt the narrative lololol. Regardless, cool dude! Nice dude! :3

Hello and howdy, my wonderful friends! I've decided to drop a piece of the Ruthlessness cover that I'm doing in VOCALOID! I haven't really tuned it, but I'm trying my best with syllable editing for now, cuz my silly self decided to use a Japanese bank with no English alt on a song that has One Billion Harsh Consonant Sounds^TM X'P

I love Flower very much though lol, and her tone matches that of Poseidon quite well, imo!! However, if anyone has any tips at all for how to make the vocals sound more natural (and more in-rhythm), I'd be ever so grateful!

Really EPIC (get it??) Poll Time!

So! I'm doing covers of some songs from EPIC: The Musical, but in Vocaloid! And I need help deciding which voicebank I'm going to cast as who!

So far, I have DEX as Odysseus, DAINA as Penelope, AVANNA as Circe, v flower as Poseidon, YOHIOloid as Tiresias, and Otomachi Una + Kaai Yuki as Aeolus and the Winions!

DSAF: Okay okay! So! I have been very much art-ing it up! I've got two wips of pixel art, one of which I've already shown here, and the other of which is a secret and special surprise!! I'm also working my way through DSAF 3's Phone Guy lore, and I've got two save files going on with a neutral/good route and an evil route! I'm very excited to hear the unique dialogue from the lads and learn more about them cuz I see 'em everywhere on this website lol. But, back to the plotting! I'm also gonna finish the fic where I finally introduce my OC's name and explain a lil more of their backstoryyyyy >:3

EE: SOUP BOY. HE IS GLORIOUS. I DYED MY HAIR PINK BECAUSE OF GIOVANNI. WHO SAID THAT. Anyways! I soooo so badly wanna make an OC for this cuz I finally got the audio book with my holiday gift money, but school is being quite rude and not letting me get time to finish it! Harumph! EPIC: I have never before felt such an urge to get into studying classic literature and Greek mythos! I NEED ALL THE CONTEXT. And the music is peak!!! Very good for story inspiration, for sure, but even without that, the entire official concept album is just a BANGER! I am rotating it and chewing at it and staring deeply into its eyessss 0u0

Like, first up in my brain is DSAF/Dialtown. Cool, cool, I've been thinking about that for a long while now, and I'm plotting to do artsy stuff with it. BUT THEN! We get to the other lobe of my brain that is infested with Epithet Erased! How do those two match?? THEY DON’T!!! And neither does EPIC: The Musical, of which I am now at the Wisdom Saga! NONE OF THESE GO TOGETHERRRR??? Not on the surface at least lol. The crossovers trying to happen in my mind are bonkers right now,,,,,wehhh >:P

And don't even get me started on the tangential thoughts about OCs and other franchises I'm having. That ups the brainworm count to about 7 and it's driving me maaaaaad-

KYAHAHAHA!!! You've fallen into my trap! Now y'all MUST listen to a patented Ink Ramble^TM once again!

Okay, okay, so!! Since the lore for this lad is relatively new and I still don't know everything about DSAF, there might be some things missing, but I'm gonna try my best!

They're a Spirit who's inhabited the Flipside for as long as it can remember, drifting between the different layers and watching life in the Real World go by! They exist throughout all the different timelines and endings (through temporal soul shenanigans that I will explain later), and can do that thing that Dave does with being able to see through Davetrap's eyes into the living plane, but in a way that's more like astral-projecting themself into a Fazbender's location to interact with other characters!

It acts much like your standard poltergeist, causing mischief and being spooky, but she's actually not inherently malicious. His behavior is moreso spurred on by boredom and lacking true purpose until someone starts causing problems for the restaurant. When this happens, they'll leave the Flipside and make a point to annoy whoever is causing havoc into having morals!

They're also a bit like Jack and Blackjack in the sense that they're "a soul separated from a body," but, the thing is, it never had a human form in the first place. Its ultimate goal is to get a human body to possess and "become a whole person!" However, when he's tried to find bodies in the past, none of them have quite stuck. There's always some force keeping her from staying in any one form for too long, like a repellent that's meant to get rid of pests. Or maybe there's just some tie that can't be severed between a body and a soul that was unfairly ripped away, such as with Fazbender victims...

Anyways, moving away from that sad stuff, onto the aforementioned temporal soul shenanigans! I'm taking a few liberties with this, cuz although we learn a good amount about the nature of souls from Henry's tapes, anomalies certainly can exist, with my lad being a prime example of such! They're not a clear soul of a child anymore, but I'd like to think that they started out as just a little, goopy thing floating around the Flipside, with no one to talk to or acknowledge their existence. Over time, they grew more saturated, yet not as dark as the souls that come from an adult's regret/deeper emotional palette. It does experience strong feelings, though, and has a portion of itself that came from the regret of witnessing the atrocities committed in various locations, but not being able to do anything about it. Without a body to act with and a weak grip on reality most of the time, it couldn't do much else but watch, y'know?

The main thing that causes them to travel through time and space, however, is the fluctuations in control it experiences with the large amount of energy it has in the culmination of its being. Confused yet?? Me too! Lol. Ahem, what I mean is that their soul has a large amount of energy contained in an unstable vessel. They obviously have no physical body to contain the power that they have, which I believe correlates to one's manifestation in the Flipside. I say this because we see characters like Peter and Steven who are still phone-heads in the Flipside despite being humans initially. It's an "if, then" statement imo. "If I was a phone-head in the real world, then I am a phone-head in the Flipside." Since the first part of this type of statement doesn't exist for my lad, they don't have anything to base their looks or strength/stamina off of. This fluidity of stability then causes temporal dissonance to occur, because, like Henry describes in his tapes, if a soul has enough strength (or strength in a given moment), it'll be able to move through time and space! Through this random movement which they can't control at first, they get pushed to different timelines and endings!!

Their behavior can change with each ending, too! I'm gonna use DSAF 3 as an outline to what they might do, mostly cuz there's more content to work with lol. Here are some exaples of how they may change!

•If the player proceeds with the Evil/Legacy Route, the Spirit becomes restless and upset, which leads to it appearing sometime after Dave's death and berating the player so that "YOU NEVER KNOW PEACE" after becoming a vessel for Henry. However, if a few other criteria (that I haven't figured out yet ^-^") are met, the Spirit will be sent on a journey of self-doubt and discovery that's prompted by the question: "Where did I, as a being that was never meant to exist, yet created by someone/something regardless, come from?" This causes it to learn about the Joy of Creation, leading to a line of reasoning that the monster person responsible for orchestrating all the tragedy across numerous locations must be their inventor, because this tragedy is all they've ever known. [I'm still working out the exact logic of this timeline, but I hope I got the general idea across!]

"SINCE I AM A CReated being and HENRY is a Creator, he must be my Origin..."

•When the player gets the neutral end, the Spirit is mostly just...disappointed. Sure, the player ran a successful restaurant and saved the modern image of Fazbender's, but that's nothing compared to helping free souls and defeating a great evil! They might encourage the player to chose a different path in order for something better to happen, but if the player doesn't listen to him, she'll either watch from the sidelines with a miserable attitude, or become a problem for the restaurant in order to spark a change of heart.

"YOU HAVE AMOUNTED TO NOTHING. how can you be proud? none have achieved their happiest day. it's all MEANINGLESS."

•For the Good End, the Spirit commends the player on their work to save everybody's souls and get closure! Yay! (Honestly, I still have to think about this route some more, but I do have an idea of how it all gets resolved.) At the very end, I can see the Spirit being content with everything going up in flames, even grateful that a few more people were released from suffering despite the fact that it can't follow them. However, this state of calm probably wouldn't last long, and they'd be shoved through time yet again so as to keep existing as they are instead of fading away like everything else.

"i cannot ASCEND with you all. I WILL WATCH AS IT BURNS AND SIMPLY REMAIN AS I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN. THOUgh...PeRhaps I was too harsh with some of you. Thank you. For all that you have done."

And that's nearly everything about this lad that I have so far! I hope y'all like my silly lil guy!!
