4 romance options
Restore balance to the world before it’s too late…
It looks so promising! Just the summary itself is an art already, definitely looking forward for any kind of content <333
It’s gotten too quiet. Far too quiet. The wind doesn’t rush through the jagged rocks and twisted metal, the eagle doesn’t cry out high overhead. Not even the haunting static, nor the low mechanical hum. In this canyon, walls of glass and stone and shattered metal, no sound enters. No sound escapes. No screams of the dying, just the silence of those long dead.
Long dead. Like you.
Lost Birds is a post-apocalyptic story of survival and revenge, set in a distant and bleak future where everything that could go wrong, has.
You see, the end of the world wasn’t too bad. A flash of light, a searing heat, the taste of metal in your mouth. Waking up in a scorched plain to skies as black as the soil, to the first rain you had seen in years. Alone, you set off. One destination in mind. One purpose in mind.
You were not the only one to survive. The wilds have come alive again, stranger and more beautiful than ever. The people have come alive again, rebuilding on the frontiers, escaping the few cities left unscathed.
You find yourself an outsider amongst outsiders, a desperate seeker, searching for something lost to time and memory. A past hidden away from prying eyes, a future that relies on answers to a question you cannot ask. The promise of information brings you to a city sunken into the earth, secrets buried in the catacombs below. Your journey begins and ends there. Betrayed, dying with a question on your lips.
Dying wasn’t too bad. A fading of the light, a bitter coldness, the taste of blood in your mouth. Waking up, however, was as unpleasant as it was unexpected.
What to Expect:
Semi-customizable MC: choose your gender and personality, make impactful choices.
A blending of genres, from solarpunk to post-apocalyptic, with influences from westerns, cyberpunk and traditional science fiction.
A beautiful, surreal, and often dangerous new world to explore.
Immortality, as long as you’re not too picky about the definition.
A non-linear story, jumping back and forth between past, present and future.
Revenge. Maybe.
Your Companions:
The Ghost [nb]: A… being… from the place where nothing grows. A master tracker, as silent, swift and deadly as the prey they hunt.
The Traitor [m]: A young man wearing a battered uniform and a plethora of wounds, as lost morally as he is physically. The folks out here don’t take kindly to those with flexible loyalties.
The Deputy [f]: The judge, jury and executioner, both lawman and lawmaker. She may be harsh, but never make the mistake of calling her cruel to those she governs.
The Gunslinger [m, f, nb]: A fellow mercenary with a rather peculiar moral code. A fast hand and a faster wit.
The Archangel [f]: Your protector, a voice that woke you from death itself. A flickering hologram of a dead woman.

[ Fernweh Saga is a character driven, romance focused interactive fiction with slow-build horror elements that unravel as you move deeper into the plot.]
~Some homecomings feel more like rude awakenings, but this one will become a waking nightmare…~
You return to the small town of Fernweh after the death of your grandfather, which is ironic because you were explicitly sent away from the town by him following the tragic death of your parents in a house fire. It’s been several years since you left. Returning isn’t something that you had considered, but the vague letter you received about tying up loose ends was on fancy stationary and looked official enough.
What was supposed to be a quick trip to collect personal belongings and sign some legal documents soon spirals into a grim mystery when you learn of the odd circumstances surrounding your grandfather’s death and start experiencing vivid nightmares.
Familiar faces are all around; you know some of them as former childhood friends, rivals, or neighbors, but they may become current allies as you all try to unravel what exactly is going on in this small, seemingly idyllic, forested town.
A feeling of unease grows with each sleepless night spent within Fernweh’s borders, but you can’t leave yet…
It won’t let you.
Play as a man, woman, or non-binary person with the ability to customize your sexuality, fashion style, physical features, room theme, etc.
Allow your personality, habits, decisions, and relationships to influence how you face-off against what lurks within Fernweh like in a horror film/book.
Experience different types of romantic burns and tropes (rivals to lovers, friends to lovers, unrequited love (or is it…?), no strings attached, and more) alongside different types of horror (dread, cosmic, supernatural, survival, and more) as you progress through the series.
Develop ‘something’ (the choice is yours) with the 4 romance options; there are 5 romance routes that are fully integrated into the plot.
Create friendships and relationships with the main cast of characters that are tracked by different point systems.
Understand your past, your parents’ death, and what really happened to not only your family, but to you.
Add to (or take away from) an inventory system that will impact/unlock certain choices later in the game. Clues, weapons, odd items, etc.
Discover that there are more than just small town politics at play; factions will remember how you treat them and may help or hurt you in the future books. (Book 1 is about hints/discovery, while we learn more in Book 2.)
Fight, resist, flee, struggle, or adapt to face whatever is invading your nightmares and the town; there is more to it than a boring ole’ monster…Much more.
Reblogs are greatly appreciated; thanks for your support! <3

Eirris has been conquered–again. As other countries seek to expand their resources and their empires, the island nation of Eirris’s largely underdeveloped landscape proves too attractive. The High King of Eirris has been deposed and executed. Amarand now occupies the most populace port cities, and their crown prince now lives in the capital where he is hoping to make an advantageous marriage match. The Eirris clans, once united under the High King, now have fractured loyalties and motives. Some work to return Eirris to its previous power, searching tirelessly for an heir to the high throne. Some work with Amarand, earning themselves access to safe roads and profitable trade allies. Some have taken the opportunity to break free of kingdom rule entirely, and now operate as Free Clans.
You were born into a fen– a group of warriors loyal to a clan– and within the first two decades of your life, your group managed to make quite the name for yourselves as fearless and loyal adventurers. When the leader of your fen is executed for treason against the Amarandish crown, you find yourself quite suddenly without footing in the everchanging world around you. As you embark on a new adventure–full of magic and plenty of mysteries that need solving– meet a diverse cast of characters that, come what will or what may, change your life forever.
A fully customizable MC: choose your name, gender, sexuality, appearance, personality, religion, stats, and backstory
Choose from three types of magical backgrounds: Are you a druid, with ties to the fae and animism whose magic some fear, or are you a psychic, whose fortune telling and scrying are greatly admired, or are you an alchemist, whose affinity for healing and connection to the elements make you a valuable court mage?
Unique worldbuilding: while Good Folk is heavily character driven, a lot of thought and detail went into the creation of a completely unique world, one that MC travels extensively through the course of the story.
Find romance… or not!: Good Folk was designed as a romance game and has a diverse cast of characters available for romance. There are 6 romance options including male, female, non-binary, and trans ROs, as well as the option to romance any of the ROs as asexual. Every RO is available to every MC. Or choose not to romance anyone at all, and just make lifelong friends! (Note: This game will most likely feature explicit content and is only suitable for players 18+)
Determine the End State of Eirris: What will your homeland look like at the end of your journey? Will it remain under Amarand rule. Will it be united under an Eirrisian High King? Are there other options out there? Play to find out!

After losing a bet to your roommate, you’re forced to sign up for Odessa Dates, a wildly popular dating website taking your country, Odessa, by storm.
When an announcement made by the Odessa Royal Family thrusts you into a competition for the heir’s hand in marriage, you quickly begin to realize that you’re in a lot more trouble than trying to figure out what spoon is the dessert spoon.
With rivals, romance and rituals around every corner, welcome to The Odessa Dating Games!
—
Hi, I’m Tandra. The Odessa Dating Games is an interactive fiction novel that I started over on the Choice of Games website. It’s been just over a year over there and I decided it was time to take the game to Tumblr!
Here’s the quick rundown of what you need to know about the game! A more detailed list is over at the forum.
Play as a man, woman, or as non-binary! Be gay, straight, bisexual or pansexual.
Romance loads of characters, including your roommate, the heir to the throne and more!
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer as you work to uncover what threatens your home country of Odessa, all while competing in a competition with loads of challenges to test your skills, strength and more.
Create the royal of your dreams, or play as a default royal character.
Now, a more detailed look at The Odessa Dating Games:
The Heir to Odessa, who can have pre determined looks, or can be custom made to your liking, right down to their hair, height, gender and more.
The Heir’s younger sibling, Mozelle Wyman, a redhead with a love of speaking before she thinks.
Your roommate, Odi/Odanna Baxley, whom you’ve been living with for quite a while. O has tattoos, brown hair, blue eyes and is the whole reason you get into the competition in the first place.
Lyon Powers, a tech intern in charge of keeping track of your performance while in the games.
Jenna Young, leader of the Odessenters, a group aimed at trying to take down the Odessa Royal Family once and for all.
And a few others that I’ll let you guys discover for yourselves!
What was your inspiration for this game? I’ve always loved reading and playing games that involved royal families and royals! As far as games/material, I was inspired by Princess Academy by Shannon Hale, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, as well as Drag Star from COG and various other HG and COG royal inspired games.
When will this game be finished? Totally up in the air at the moment. I have a full-time job, so this is only a side hobby. I would love to have this out by 2022.
How often do you update? Pretty randomly. There’s no set time for updates, but I always update the title on the topic on the COG forum. I’m a night owl, so they tend to come in the middle of the night haha. I will do weekly updates on here just to keep myself accountable and you guys interested!
How many chapters will this game be? At least 12.
Will there be a sequel? No, this will be a standalone novel, but as the game nears competition, I might entertain a new story set in the same world, or writing a prequel.
A fuller FAQ list is posted on the forum topic on the COG forum website! I will eventually add the questions on the FAQ website, but I am currently holding off as to not spoil people for a little while.
I am more active on the forums than Tumblr for now, but feel free to send questions, comments or anything like that to either place. Please reserve coding issues to the COG FORUM only, as that’s where my testing team is most active on and can help me out with those.
I also track #the odessa dating games and #todg! I’d love to see any fanart/stories/mood boards/etc. that you guys come up with!
Without further ago, I present, The Odessa Dating Games.

VERY UNIQUE idea of having to run from your own family!!! As you're supposedly cools-bananas mage whose potential can be reached only through the suffering....or is it?
Hey guys, this will be the tumblr for my Choice of Games WiP, Runaway. Thanks a lot to my friend Kaycie, who helped me set this up and showed me some of the basic functions!

Glory of the Damned is a high-fantasy/romance interactive fiction made with Twine. In this game, you play as a magic user with a troubled past who joins the Selection; the capital kingdom’s competition to search for the strongest magic users in all the lands. Learn more about the illness that’s been torturing the mages and find out its cure also while planning to confront the man who ruined your life.
It’s been 100 years since the Corruption, an illness that affected magic users exclusively, started claiming the lives of many people though out Dirinha. No one knew where it came from and no cure could be found; this caused many people to give up on learning magic in fear of losing their life.
Despite this, magic was still an important element and while there are those who have given up on it, there are a few who continue to practice it. Whether it was for a noble cause, to be rewarded generously with fame and fortune or mere curiosity, magic persisted. Those brave— some would say, foolish— individuals were invited to the capital. The Kingdom of Liestrum holds a competition every 15 years to find the strongest magic users and offer them the position of Royal Mage and serve the kingdom.
Many mages join due to the fortune the kingdom offers. You, on the other hand, will be using the Selection as a way to get back to the man who destroyed your life. You’ll take everything from him, just like he did to you.
A customizable MC;
Choose your gender (male, female, non-binary [also open for trans people]), pronouns (neopronouns are available), personality, sexuality & appearance
Romance 5 different Characters: 3 male, 1 non-binary & 1 gender selectable

OLD DEMO | Itch.io
A scream in the dead of night. A missing engineer. And a highly guarded breakthrough. Something woke up in the permafrost way north. Something man was never supposed to know. Take on the role as a for-hire investigator, sent by a private company to sort things out before the project bleeds even more funds. Dartun Station is an interactive story heavily inspired by works such as The Thing, The Invasion of The Body Snatchers and some aspects of Lovecraftian Horror.
Urban fantasy
Play as an experienced conjurer working as a forensic necromancer. Investigate an unusual crime scene that holds more than you bargained for after a run in with the Chosen One brings back faces from your past you’d much rather forget. Solve magical crimes, guide (or try to avoid) the chosen one, explore the magical Otherworld and deal with a prophecy you were never meant to be a part of.
- Play as a man, woman or as nonbinary.
- Choose from 5 ROs, all available to any gender MC.
- Personality and skills stats.
- Choose which ‘side’ to ally with, or choose neither.
In a world similar to ours where magic is known to exist, but not particularly common, humans live together in large cities away from the dangers of the earth-bound spirits in the wilds beyond. Conjurers like you are able to commune with the spirits that live in the Otherworld, a world filled with dangerous spirits that is separated from your own world by the Veil. Spirits slip through the Veil occasionally, or they can be brought over via demonic contracts with conjurers. Both of these scenarios terrify ordinary humans who find solace in a prophecy that promises a chosen one who will strengthen the Veil, permanently sealing all spirits and magic away in the Otherworld forever.
This project is being worked on alongside ‘Dead Men’s Tales’ (a Victorian low fantasy) on deadmenstales-if.
The Icarus Plagues [WIP]
“I’ve been here far too many times, but it never feels quite right. My surroundings feel too alive to be the scene of a death. I can hear the mechanical whirring of the clockwork horses and the wheels of the copper carts they pull rattle against the cobblestone, as well as the music blaring loudly from the many clubs nearby.”
In The Icarus Plagues, you’re one of the Icarus Plagues in the steampunk city of Lanston.
When an important politician dies, it becomes your responsibility to find the soul eating Siren responsible, but when a certain monster comes into your life, it begins to seem like there’s more going on behind the scenes than you thought.
Work with the Plagues in order to control the Siren population in the city; side with the Academy and the Sirens in order to bring the Plagues to their knees and watch them burn; or try your hand at playing both sides for your own gain.
Characters:
The game feature 4 love interests, one of which is customisable to an extent. Your relationship with these characters and their thoughts on your choices will determine how long they stick around, and maybe even if they make it out alive.
Baxter/Blanche Donovan, a fellow Plague and your easy-going partner. Donovan has spent their whole life fighting for what they think is right, but maybe it’s time you offer them a new perspective.
Alex Clarke, a clockwork mechanic. Alex has had a close working relationship with both the Plagues and the Academy for years, repairing equipment and offering more difficult to acquire weaponry. It may take a little convincing, but they can serve as a powerful ally if given the chance.
Cecil/Cecelia Price, a gun for hire who has spent too much of their life trying to escape the grips of the lower city. They’ll help for a price, but perhaps you can convince them that they’re allowed to let people get close.
Cassidy/Cassius Gray, a Siren, Academy agent, and your “guardian angel”. Cass went missing three years ago, but has suddenly resurfaced with an Academy badge and an insistence that they mean you no harm. But Cass is a rogue Siren, the very thing that the Plagues seek to destroy.

Updates will be on this blog and the forum link will be here soon.
It’s official! I’m writing The Watchwood again (finally, I know it’s been a year). Thanks for being patient, y’all.
For those who missed it, I put Watchwood on the back burner because of, well. Y’know. Everything that happened like right after we released the first demo build. The Watchwood is a story that deals really heavily with trauma and recovery, and I just could not write scenes that were intended to be traumatic for characters, or scenes that were intended to refer to characters’ past trauma, while living through a new global traumatic event.
Obviously the pandemic isn’t over yet, but things are looking up- at least in my corner of the world- so here I am, picking it back up. Can’t promise a when, but we’ll be getting a new demo build out in the nebulous near future.
There are a few changes being made! Namely, we’re switching to Twine. This was a big decision and we aren’t going to get into the whys of it, but it is ultimately the best option for us.
Secondly, the ROs will no longer be gender-variable. I’ve realized in writing them that I have very specific thoughts and feelings about gender identities and gender presentations that I want to write through each of them, and while it would be possible to write that in if they’re gender variable, it would be much, much harder to orchestrate ways to actually have those thoughts and feelings be part of the text of the game!
I want the ROs to feel like real, fully-fleshed people, and I’m going to be much better able to do that with their genders locked in place.
So instead of S, B, and V, your romance options are now
Salomón de la Puerta (he/him), the spacey and kind of airheaded fortune teller who operates Greyvale’s metaphys supply shop.
Bridget Schmidt (she/her), a determined and friendly painter who runs Greyvale’s gas station & convenience store.
Vi Dearborn (they/them), a curious and clever writer who has, after a fashion, taken up residence at the local bakery.
Looking forward to getting a new demo build out to y’all soon. <3

Trails Lead Home is an (overly ambitious) fantasy game with an emphasis on relationships and starting anew. The aim is to hopefully make the player’s choices matter in some way and to affect the characters and world around them. The end goal is to create a story that tells the tale of new found family and learning to be okay with starting one’s life over.
– Plans for platonic relationships with the characters. Be adopted by a couple seeking the chance to start their own family, gain either a new sibling who strives to defend the weak or a thief who enjoys sharing her bounties with you, or enter the strange world of a rich business savvy friend who becomes an unlikely uncle or mentor!
– Play as a child seeking a new family, a young adult exploring the wonders of adulthood, or an ‘older’ adult who’s world wise! Set your pronouns, age, favorite drink, height, and personality!
– Learn magic, develop new skills, and form lasting bonds with five romances (who can also be pursued platonically) + one ‘secret’ romance! Romance a polygamous couple or three ‘monogamous’ ro’s!
– The current demo includes a total of 25,932 words w/out code!
- Galeon and Hollond are a pre-stablished couple that can be poly-romanced by an older MC or can adopt a child/young adult mc as their child!
- Finlay is a lonesome knight of the realm who struggles with putting the people they love before their job. They can be romance monogamously or adopted as a sibling!
- Greta is a mischievous young woman and thief who can be romanced monogamously or adopted as a sibling.
- Lesilfae is a (self proclaimed) master of persuasion who can be romanced monogamously, helped into a relationship with Galeon and Hollond, or adopted as a mentor/nervous parent.
- Secret RO is female but more details are yet to be shared…
- A small warning is in place for language, vague mentions of neglect and familial strife.
- A linear prologue with potential grammar and language mistakes.
- While this isn’t a warning, I want to state that there are a LOT of LGBTQ+ characters and characters of color in Trails. I will NOT change any character’s skin colors nor will I accept whitewashing of any kind and I will not accept any transphobia, homophobia, or anything of that nature. If you have a problem with that, then I suggest moving on to another game. This is a safe space.
When will the next update be available?
– It will, unfortunately, be ready when it’s ready. Trails is a hobby that I do for fun, so updates will be slow.
Where can I find information on the characters?
– Currently, there isn’t really any place with good info on the characters. I’m working on profiles and on a character page where you can learn more about the characters.
What asks are allowed?
– I will answer nsfw (tagged), ‘headcannons’, what if’s, clarifications, etc.
– I will NOT answer pregnancy asks, asks about killing characters, or asks that want a character changed in any way.
