I just want to say thank you to Tom Cruise for finding Glen Powell and putting him in TGM. If it wasn’t for that, I wouldn’t have the pleasure to know such a handsome man who has taken over my life in every way possible. So thank you, Tom Cruise!
I’m at the gym with my sister, preparing for a dance competition right now and I can’t help but think about exercising with Glen Powell at the moment. 😊
That was the summer I lost my fictional virginity to this guy, right here:
This time last year, I saw TGM in theaters June 11, 13, 18, 24, & 26. What a glorious summer
So I’m a broke college student and my broke mind was having thoughts about sugar daddy!Glen or sugar daddy!Jake and I think I need Jesus to smack me up the head because these thoughts are very unholy….. BUT LIKE JUST IMAGINE SUGAR DADDY!GLEN OR JAKE!!!! In the words of Will Ferrell off of Zoolander” HE’S JUST SO HAWT RIGHT NOW!”
Can we make this a trope? Pwetty pwease???! I NEED A FANFIC FOR THE UNHOLY SIDE OF MY MIND!!!!!!
I like to watch Red Wing just to see Glen Powell in his cowboy element.😍😍😍😍 And to hear that southern accent I love so much.🥰🥰🥰
Hey y'all! There are so many people asking if they can be tagged in my new Hangman fanfic! To be honest, I never thought that this story would get this kind of recognition, but here we are. Thank you all so much for the likes, reblogs, and wonderful comments that you all left on my new fic! It means so much to me! So, in honor of that, I finally created a taglist for Fixing His Broken Heart. If you want to be added just click the link(hopefully it works; fingers crossed!) and sign yourself up. I also promise that I'll at least have the new chapter up by Sunday. If not, then Monday! So sorry about that! I just got home from college and am trying to unpack and get a new job to earn money to go back at the moment. My mom also wants to get me a new car, which I'm going to name "Hangman" because I'm in love with the godlike creature who plays him.

Prologue.
A man with gold flecks in his hair stood in front of a large window looking down at the people below him. There was a woman with big, blonde hair to the nines and perfectly done makeup to the nines holding onto a man with dark red hair and a perfectly chiseled face. Her perfectly manicured hands were carded through the man's red hair as their foreheads met together. She was whispering something to him and then gave him short, but fierce kiss.
The man let go of her, reluctantly and got into the car that was next to them. The car drove off as she stared after it. She sighed really big and then took out a little compact mirror and a tube of lipstick. She looked at herself in the little mirror and carefully applied the lipstick to her plump lips. If the man above didn't know any better, he would say that she looked like a vision of estacy, only his to devour and hold. He knew better though, and it broke his heart that he couldn't give her what the other man could.
From outside, the woman fixed up her dress and made sure she was showing ample cleavage before she went inside. Cara Seresin was probably the most well renowned ex beauty queen of the South. Everyone knew who she was all the way from Texas to Georgia and beyond. Everyone loved her and everyone wanted to be her. She also had the hottest husband in America too- Jake Seresin.
He was okay, she guessed. He use to do many things that would make her swoon and want to jump his bones then and there, but now he was just a washed up version of that person and didn't want anything to do with her anymore. He was always at work; She thinks that he was like an airline pilot or something. Honestly, she forgot what he did and she didn't care. As long as he was bringing in the money, she was content. Marshall on the other hand, she met through a group of ex beauty queen friends. He had beautiful, fiery red hair and such a chiseled jaw. He also had a body to match. He was everything that she wished for her husband. With one word, he could make her melt and do anything he pleased.
Cara was in front of her husband's office door now. She quickly took out her little mirror again and did a once over. To herself, she looked like sheer perfection and that was good to know. She put the little mirror away and knocked on his door. She waited a couple of minutes, until she heard a, "come in" from the other side. The clattering of heels made their way into the room and stopped in front of a large desk to which her husband was sitting behind.
Jake Seresin was a vision of god-like power as he sat in the chair behind the large desk. He was wearing a navy blue suit that perfectly fit his body and his hair was done to perfection. From an outsiders point of view, the couple looked like one of those perfect couples you would find on the red carpet from the way they dressed. The only thing that was missing from them that those other couples had was the look and feeling of true love: in their body language and their faces.
Jake just looked at her. He knew and she knew he knew. "How long has it been going on?", he asked in a solemn tone, staring into her blue eyes. She sighed and looked away. She really didn't want to break his heart, but the bandaid had to come off sooner or later. She quickly made eye contact with him and looked down at the floor. "A year now.", she said, feeling no remorse like she thought she would.
The man in front of her sighed and ran his hands down his face. His thoughts were filled with frustration towards his wife and the man she was just with. "What do I do now, Cara?", he asked desperately. This made the woman mad and scoff, putting her hands on her hips. "I don't know Jake. You hardly come home anymore and when you do, we hardly ever make love like we use to. You don't even treat me like you use to!",She yells. This makes the man stand up, in a fit of anger. "You're the one that's different Cara! You come home late and then expect me to love on you when I smell another man's cologne on you! You don't think that hurts me just as much as I hurt you?!", He yelled pointing a finger at her.
Tears made their way down her face, ruining her perfect makeup. He wasn't supposed to know about her late nights with Marshall. She thought she had taken a good enough shower to get Marshall's scent off of her before she came home. "You weren't supposed to know about that.", she stated venomously. Jake sarcastically laughed at her remark. "I'm not stupid Cara. I may not have gotten the best grades in high school, but I'm not stupid. You practically reeked of him then and you reek of him now! I guess it's all that hairspray going to your head to miss that.", he said, while looking at her.
After he said that, it went silent. Both didn't say anything at all. Cara's eyes were looking out the window and Jake was looking down at his desk.
Moments later, a soft knock could be heard. Jake looked up from the desk and sighed. It was probably his assistant, (Y/N). "Come in,"he said as his wife wiped away her tears with a velvet handkerchief.
The door opened and a beautiful looking girl came in. She had (H/C) hair, (E/C) eyes, and flawless skin. Her hair was done up in a tight pony-tail while she wore a black business coat, placed of a white blouse, and a black, tight skirt to match with black heels to pull the look together. "Mr. Seresin, Captain Mitchell called this morning and said that he needed you at the Naval Base.", she said, while looking at the scene in front of her. Mrs Seresin's make up was messed up and she looked like she just got so very terrible news. Mr. Seresin also looked like he got some terrible news too, but seemed more angry about it. All this tension made (Y/N) uncomfortable and her anxiety levels rise. She really wanted to ask if everything was okay, but decided against fearing that she would make the situation worse.
"Um, okay. Call him back and tell him I'm coming now.", he said. With that, she backed out the room, closing the door behind her and taking a big sigh. She knew that Jake and Cara were going through a rough patch, but she didn't know it was that bad. She guess Jake finally found out about Cara and Marshall. Though, they weren't probably weren't being as sneaky as they thought. She remembered an incident from a few weeks ago.
Cara had invited Marshall over for a late night session of whatever they did and it just so seemed that particular night (Y/N) had to stay late. Jake was on another naval mission and he forgot to prepare a presentation for one of the many meetings of his new promotion as Captain. (Y/N) decided that it would be best if she stayed and helped him out because she knew that he would be too tired when he got back to do it.
That particular, she heard a large ruckus happening in The Seresin's bedroom. She didn't think much of it because she was too busy with the presentation to even care, but one thing got her attention though.
As she was just finishing up making the presentation, she heard the door open and fits of laughter down the hallway. A particular sentence Cara said got her attention. "Don't worry Marshall. Jake's not going to know about us. I promise you." (Y/N) stopped what she was doing and went to see what was going on. She saw Cara walking down the hall with a man who she could only recognize as Marshall. His hands were around her waist as they walked and continued to laugh about nonsense. If she was honest, Marshall's hair looked like sex hair, from the back.
She made her way into The Seresin's bedroom to see if there was an evidence that could tell her what was actually going on inbetween the two people she saw outside. That's when she found an undershirt on the floor. Maybe it was just Jake's undershirt and maybe something really wasn't going on between Marshall and Cara like she concluded. After all, Cara did say that Marshall was only coming over to take a look at the faucet in the bathroom in their room anyways.
She picked it up and started folding it. Truth be told, (Y/N) had a little crush on her boss, Jake. He was everything that she dreamed about in a man. He was perfect inside and out. She wish she could be the one that Jake was holding on to when he was back from his naval missions and the one that he looked lovingly at, but Jake married Cara. She was an ex beauty queen that was perfect in every way. Jake wanted perfect and she wasn't perfect.
She put the undershirt up to her nose to smell Jake's cologne. There was only one time that Jake showed her the only affection that she would ever get from him and that was when her mother died. She remembered coming in one morning to work and got a phone call in the process. It was her dad telling her the news of what happened. The whole morning she cried and couldn't work as efficiently as she usually did. Jake noticed and called her into his office. He asked and she told him about her mother. Then he did something that she would never forget. He pulled her into a hug. His scent engulfed and she found so much comfort in it.
She missed that scent and glad that she could at least smell it one more time before Jake got home.
When she smelled the undershirt, something was off. It wasn't the wonderful scent she came to love, but another foreign scent she didn't recognize. Did Jake start using a new cologne? She quickly folded the shirt and was going to put it in Jake's drawers, until she saw an M marked inside on the tag in black sharpie. "M", she thought. The only person she knew that started with the letter M was Marshall or Mitchell. It certainly couldn't be Captain Mitchell's because he was never here in the first place, but Marshall was.
That's when it all started coming together for (Y/N) and her suspicions were once again confirmed. Cara was indeed cheating on Jake.
(Y/N) sighed at the memory bubbling in her mind. The reason she didn't tell her boss is because she didn't think it was hers to tell and also because Jake had been under so much stress with his new promotion that this would be another unnecessary burden that he would have to carry. She didn't want that for him because she cared for him too much. She was a bit glad that he did find out though. He was such a smart person and she loved that about him.
Cara couldn't see him like she did. Cara didn't understand that he was a Naval Pilot and that's the reason why he wasn't there most of the time. Cara couldn't see all the PTSD that he went through from past missions. She didn't know that he was promoted as captain and that he had been working for that almost his whole career. And, (Y/N) would bet that Cara didn't even know what Jake's favorite color was. All Cara cared about was her looks, her hair, clothes, and Marshall. Which in (Y/N)'s mind, should have been Jake. It wasn't though and that made (Y/N) a little frustrated with Cara. She didn't show it though and just carried on with life.
(Y/N) continued to walk down the hallway in thought as a screaming match picked up in the room she was just in.
"YOU'RE SLEEPING WITH HIM CARA! HOW DO YOU NOT EXPECT ME TO BE MAD!", Jake yelled exasperated. Cara was full-on crying now. "JAKE, YOU WEREN'T THERE WHEN I NEEDED YOU!", she cried. "THAT'S BECAUSE YOU SHUT ME OUT AND DIDN'T WANT ME ANYMORE! YOU WENT TO HIM INSTEAD!", Jake yelled back, on the verge of crying now.
The yelling didn't stop for another twenty minutes. Each threw each other under the bus with hurtful words and kept tearing each others hearts apart with those hurtful words. Finally, after a few minutes, both stopped yelling. Silence fell over the room again.
"Tell me this. Did you even love me in the first place? And if you did, when did you fall out of love with me?", Came Jake's voice. Cara was looking out the window now. She just wished that this could be over and that Marshall would come pick her up. She looked down at her phone where a reply from Marshall could be seen. All it said was, "I'm coming right now" in big letters. Silently, she prayed to whatever God there was and turned around to see Jake and answer his question.
"I was in love with you",she started,"But then you started going on more work trips and I met Marshall. He was good to me and still is. He does all the things for me that you used to do before we first got married." This broke Jake's heart. He didn't realize that she thought he was neglecting her. He was just on so many missions for work and ever since he got promoted to Captain that took him away even more. "Well, I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you." He said.
He came over to her and pulled her into a hug. She didn't hug him back at first, but then started to after a few seconds.
They both missed this. Being in each others arms. It hurt too much to think that they neglected each other of this.
Jake pulled away and looked at his wife. Her makeup was smeared and almost washed away, but she was still as beautiful as the day he met her. He smiled at her sadly. "I think I know where this is going", he said quietly. She flashed a sad smile and nodded. Taking a deep breath, she pulled away from him and took off the ring that he gave her when they got married. She handed it to him. "It was a great ride Jake." She said, taking a step back from him,"But I think it's time for us to end it. " Jake looked down at his shoes and nodded his head, not even looking at her.
"Marshall will pick me up in a bit. I'll have my lawyer send the divorce papers over."She said and then she was gone. Leaving Jake alone by himself, in the big office. He had a broken heart and he didn't know how he would be able to fix it.
They were once in love and now that love is broken. How will he ever love again.
