I'm so glad that I've finally begun to get over my long time fear of sharing my characters to others! It feels so rewarding that I finally have gotten to the place where I can, because I had dreamed about getting to do so for so long. I've had a couple of people draw them lately and it just?? Makes me so happy that I want to explode??

WELCOME TO MY BLOG! (master post)

Hello, I wanted to write a new introduction to my Tumblr blog! To start off -- hi, my name is Jazz! I am a Christian artist and illustrator. I occasionally design and market art products (like stickers and keychains), and really love writing and making comics!

I also have a Discord server that is geared towards Christian artists and creatives! Everyone is welcome here, and it is a fun, wholesome community for sharing your talents!

Current Project(s):

Slices of Gremlin (tagged #slicesofgremlin) - a weekly web comic that is based on reality. The main character is my persona -- the gremlin! She is a little purple gal who is a bit mischievous and likes to have fun. My friends/family members often show up as other fantasy creatures. Usually the comics are light-hearted and funny or wholesome, but sometimes they occasionally delve into some deeper topics!

Upcoming Project(s):

Wellwishers (tagged #wellwisherscomic) - I plan to release this project as a comic! Right now, I am doing heavy development work, and I hope to begin releasing it (hopefully) before the year is over! This comic focuses on Vincent Abernathy and Witherspoon (of the clan Everblood) -- it is the misadventures of two best buddies, and it features redemption, broken families, and magical disasters that may or may not threaten the world as everyone knows it. Set in the 90's/very early 2000's, or the equivalent of it in their world (it is not Earth). The cast of characters is quite large, so I am slowly beginning to introduce them to the world! This project has been in the works since 2015.

My Top Ten Favorite Movies!

I was tagged by the very lovely @toothpaste-dragon to share my top ten favorite movies in GIFs! C: I'm not sure who to tag, so any of my mutuals can consider themselves tagged! Technically two of these are mini-series, but I love them enough that I felt like they could *technically* belong here, lol!

Commissions!

I've officially opened up digital commissions for the first time! https://ko-fi.com/jazzleeillustrates/commissions Right now I have 3 slots open, and if it goes well then I'll open up for more later!

So, I'm thinking of making some changes! I'm considering moving my online shop from Etsy to Ko-Fi (to cut down on fees, since their margins are better). I also may possibly change the schedule of Slices of Gremlin, and my Youtube videos, from weekly to bi-weekly so that I can stay ahead of the game more easily and keep the quality high (I also want to start working heavily toward releasing Wellwishers in the near future, and this would allow me to do more Wellwishers development work).

The new comic schedule would be a bi-weekly release (2 comics a month) and very possibly still a Ko-Fi exclusive comic as an extra for those plugged in there to enjoy (3 comics a month there)!

How do you guys feel about this?
