This. In the JL cartoon Mmh transforms into his superhero look after meeting Bats and Supes. Which apparently equals=

Tiddies out, thighs out, biceps out, abs out. Speedo/Booty shorts on, calf height boots, and a sick ass cape

Which implies that either

a) he thought bats/supes skin was partially black/blue so he figured showing skin was a accepted norm in a superhero community

b) he knows that the black/blue isn’t skin but regardless chose to show skin

c) he was hot, the lab was hot, earth is much warmer than mars and he said “Martian summer came early time to whip out the speedo”

d) he was exhausted from being trapped and experimented on and thought “what’s the least amount of shape shifting I can do to be accepted by heroes” which equals cape, undies, and boots

Either and anyway his thought process went you can’t deny the fit slays.

People talk about discowing too much, it's not even the most outlandish costume in comics.

J'onn J'onzz has been looking like a striper since 1955 and y'all never say anything.

Some cute/weird/alien adjacent headcanons I have for Martian Manhunter, bc I love him:

- He genuinely feels so short in his humanoid form. He usually a stagger 14’0 but now he’s only 6’5 :(

- Mars is really cold so a mission to the arctic is summer vacay for him. He will feign being cold if only in solidarity with his teammates

- Martians have fur because more desolate areas of mars are cold and dusty.

- Will 100% make up shit about Martian civilization/physiology etc. What’s the league gonna do? Prove him wrong?

- related to above but J’onn is weird by martian standards.

- In some iterations martian copulation is a fucking weird mind meld glob thing so it is 100% fair to say that J’onn carried and birthed his daughter.

- Pretty much established but j’onn has a thing for fire & green. If someone fills one or forbid both of those qualities then he’s on that ass.
