am i the only one who never thought the armless jokes around deku funny? i swear it went from unfunny to just annoying at this point, makes me wonder if these people joking about deku being armless are the same people who celebrated when they discovered bakugou dies.

i don’t wanna hear anything about it being dark humor neither because as someone who has dark humor the the jokes around deku losing his arms is just more sad really and just don’t understand how in what way people think this overused joke is funny when i see it at too often

Why do people act like bkdk shippers are the reason the mha fandom is toxic? I literally just came across a post that said “mha fandom if bkdk shippers didn’t exist” which actually confused me cause the mha fandom would still be toxic anyway even if bkdk didn’t exist, so what difference would it make? The mha fandom is toxic not because of shippers alone but because people are s*xualizing minors, mischaracterizing, and overall unnecessary ship wars all together. instead of acting like the bkdk community is the problem how about realizing that the mha fandom would still be toxic regardless

Blue by Billie Eilish is Touya Todoroki's song.

"Colder than your father's eyes, he never learned to sympathize, with anyone."

This line could honestly go for Touya or Enji in the aspect of never sympathizing with anyone.

"You were born reaching for your mother's hands, victim of your father's plans, to rule the world."

"Too afraid to step out side, paranoid and petrified, of what you've heard."

It explains him so well. And these lines:

"I don't blame you, but I can't change you."

This one reflects the understanding that the rest of the family may have towards Touya's actions that were based on his father, such as getting away from the house in general.

"I don't hate you, but we can't save you."

Could symbolize the relationship between him and his siblings, or even Rei. The song itself is very well written, and the melody and pitiful tone in which the lines are sung at would push even further into the idea that this song explains him well.

honestly my favorite part about the whole endeavor “atonement” arc is that we as the audience KNOW that there’s nothing he can do to properly atone for the things he’s done to his family.

the scars from endeavor’s abuse will forever be ingrained in the todorokis, no matter how hard they try to move on from it (and not everyone wants to move on, either). we’re constantly hit with reminders of endeavor’s actions throughout the story- heck, even right in the middle of his whole “atonement” arc, we get another flashback that goes more in depth on the abuse and neglect that the family has suffered because of him. we even get more details on how his marriage with rei began, along with the buildup that lead to rei’s horrible mental state. it’s like although endeavor is trying to correct himself, the show doesn’t want us to forget about the things he has done, and i can appreciate that. i’m sure even endeavor is aware that no matter how hard he tries, there’s not much he can do to fix the past.

him trying to correct himself after becoming the number one hero is kind of the point, because there’s nothing else left to distract him from the weight of his actions. there is no more all might for him to chase, and there’s really no point in trying to become the next symbol of peace because of the impossibly high standards that were left behind in all might’s place. now all endeavor can do is look back and see all the damage that he’s caused, all in exchange for some dream that he will never be able to fulfill.

its ironic, really. he’s been trying for decades to match all might’s power, but is left powerless when it comes to mending his relationship with his family. the past can never go away, and all he can really do is make sure it doesn’t happen again.

I hate UA’s slogan. Plus Ultra? PLUS FUCKING ULTRA?!??

What’s Plus Ultra about filling literal CHILDREN’S heads with the illusion that going beyond your limits is a good thing?!

Sure, anime logic and all, but these are kids who are in life threatening situations are always chanting this shit like it’ll be fine if they go beyond their limitations. That’s all fine and dandy until they’re fighting Overhaul and charging at him like passing your limits will do anything.

The damn motto is encouraging these children to make dumbass decisions that’ll get them killed.

But hey, fuck that cuz plot armor.
