*12 Year Old Jason Todd coming back from patrol with Bruce and going upstairs*

Bruce: Do your homework.

12 Year Old Jason: 'Kay.

Bruce: and get some rest. You did well.

12 Year Old Jason: Okay. Goodnight dad.

Bruce: Goodni-... What did you say?

12 Year Old Jason: ... I didn't say anything. It was a mess up. I-It won't happen again, don't make a big deal out of it.

Bruce: Hm. Okay... Goodnight... Son.

12 Year Old Jason: ... You know what. Thought I liked it. It's weird.

Bruce: That's okay. Whatever you're comfortable with, and if you change your mind, that's okay too.

12 Year Old Jason: Thanks Bruce... You're better than a dad. Goodnight.
