So I reunite with Kris and I go “Can we be friends agaaain?” and they say in someone else’s voice “No! In fact, I’m gonna force you to murder! And you’re gonna question yourself for 30 years!” And I go “Why are you doing this?” and the voice goes 🎵“Because it’s Deltarune, and life is a fucking nightmare!”🎵

YESS okay so i think they were like bffs as kids and always were and okay so
Dess and asriel kissed when they were like 11 in that dumb kid kinda way and dess does Not like him like that at all but asriel developed a crush Instantly
asriel always had a crush on her since . dess knows . asriel knows dess knows . they both know its not gonna happen
asriel still has his teenage crush anyhow and its not anything hes upset over lol, its just in his eyes the way he feels and hes okay with her not liking him back and he moves on eventually, theyre still best friends
they pretend to date whenever they do karaoke contests and people believe them and they always win
dess would get into arguments a lot and would constantly run over to the dreemurr house like “asriel we have GOTTA run away right now !!” her and asriel never go through with it
They are really eachothers best friend like they were really inseperable
they also consoled eachother a lot. grades and school get tough and so does keeping track of young siblings lol especially when said young siblings are kris and noelle
whenever life got tough theyd have eachother
until dess was gone
then life got a Lot tougher for asriel
On a lighter note in summary i think their dynamic is best summarized to me as “He asked for no pickles !!!!”
i hc dess is not super religious as asriel was so she’d whisper curse words in church and asriel would get so worried he almost cried
she just generally dragged asriel into her shenanigans. she’ll wake him up at 3 am to go play baseball in the woods
they had a phase where they SWORE when kris and noelle were 18 they were all gonna run away and become a famous band (even if dess didnt vanish this would Not have happened like they hoped it would)
The fun gang headcanons
Ralsei makes everyone tea when they hangout.
Noelle loves that tea.
Susie blushes 'cause Ralsei made her an specific extra pot that smells like pine cones, because Susie mentioned she loves those once (Similar to how she blushed during that Arcade Game scene in chapter 2 when you give her the plush).
She immediately gets up and tries to make Ralsei a special tea and sets the stove on fire in the process.
Noelle gives scary movies and video games suggestions at their hangouts.
Noelle beats everyone in the said scary game. Berdly cries on the ground afterwards.
Sometimes Susie finds weird shit on the ground when walking around and calls Kris over so they can eat it together.
Similarly, every time Kris finds moss on the ground in the light world they call Susie over.
Berdly gives Ralsei a gamer shirt. It's a white t-shirt with the red crewmate and the word "Sus" under it. Ralsei takes it, "Thanks...?". He hates it but wears it when Berdly's around anyways.
Lancer gives everyone cookies to eat with their Ralsei teas.
