Ranking the NPMD kids on how much and how well I think they mask.

Pete: can mask if absolutely necessary and is pretty good at it, immediately needs time to recharge, main person to handle social situations Him, Ruth, & Richie run into.

Richie: Cannot mask to save his life, doesn’t try to.

Ruth: Cannot mask to save her life, does try to.

Grace: Has been masking severely since she was young it’s so tightly glued to her face she can’t take it off, doesn’t consciously recognize she’s masking, definitely undiagnosed.

Max: Masks any “uncool” interests, mainly masks around his dad, probably undiagnosed.

Steph: Masks alright, mainly masks around the other popular kids, does it subconsciously, maybe undiagnosed.

i don't think ive seen anyone else point out the star wars reference in npmd:

right before caitia ruth says "you're her only hope" and richie calls it a star wars analogy

in caitia reprise steph sings "if i really really did love you, you'd have to say" and pete sings "i know"

which is what han said to leia after she confesses her love

i just really loved this callback

Pete's height is expandale to me. I think Ruth and Richie should be able to climb him like a tree. I also believe he should be a lot shorter than Steph. He can either be Nick Lang's or Joey Ritcher's height. Pete's height is whatever I want it to be. I can strech him like Putty then squish him

there's a specific subset of fans who headcanon pete to have curtwen grandparents and while i see the vision it's a little funny like yeah my grandpa invented the computer my other grandpa is a world-famous spy who tried to stop him from doing that and almost killed him they've been married ever since. my dad sells women's shoes

Steph: *carrying all the groceries*

Pete: *reaches out to help*

Steph: *switches all the groceries to one arm to hold his hand*

Pete: That’s not what I- ok.

I made this for Halloween and then never posted it so uh here it is nearly 2 months late

Ruth would absolutely show up to school in one of those inflatable dinosaur costumes. Richie would wear the full AoT getup on a regular basis and definitely for Halloween. I had to reference the star wars "I love you" "I know" scene so Pete and Steph are Han Solo and Princess Leia. Grace is a nun because unlike most other Halloween costumes, nuns are holy, not demonic (Grace's words). Max is himself in ghost form cause I wasn't originally gonna include him so I didn't bother thinking up something different. I only included him in the end because he would definitely imagine Grace in one of those hot nun costumes and I needed to include that

do you think richie and ruth’s souls moved on after their deaths? or are they still there, in the town they lived and died in, watching over their best friend as he grows up and moves on?

Mr. and Mrs. Spankoffski are both played by Joey Richter

If I had a nickel for every time Joey Richter sang to Curt Mega menacingly from atop a staircase (about silicon) I'd have 2 nickels.

Adding onto that, if I had a nickel for every time Joey Richter was held at gunpoint by a lover I'd also have 2 nickels.

Finally, if I had a nickel for every time Joey Richter had a scene in a Starkid musical (specifically a hatchetfield musical) that was extremely similar to a scene he did in a TinCanBros musical (specifically Spies are Forever) I'd also have 2 nickels.

2 nickels isn't a lot but it's weird that these things have all happened twice.
