PCPR Mini Big Bang Sign Ups now open!

Hello, citizens of Night City! Below are the Sign Up links for the different roles you can participate as in this challenge, but before you sign up for anything, make sure you have read the FAQ, and looked at the event calendar.

Hello, citizens of Night City! It seems people are interested in joining a PCPR Mini Big Bang, and so it’s happening! Read on for the details

What is a Mini Big Bang?

A Mini Big Bang is a smaller version of a fandom event known as a Big Bang. A Big Bang is a fandom event where writers and artists collaborate. during this event, writers will write a fanfic while artists create art to accompany this fanfic. on a specific deadline day, all the works will be posted, resulting in a “bang” of content. a Mini Big Bang is basically a Big Bang, but with a smaller minimum wordcount. The PCPR Mini Big Bang’s minimum fic wordcount will be 3k words.

Oct 7: Writer, Artist, Beta Sign Ups open

Oct 14: Writer, Artist, Beta Sign Ups close

Oct 21: Writers who want Betas choose their Betas

Oct 28: Writer Check In

Nov 4: Writers submit their fic summaries

Nov 7: Summaries are posted and Artists begin claiming fics

Nov 11: Writer + Artist claiming finalized. Pair can now collaborate.

Nov 25: Writer and Artist Check In

Dec 23: Writer and Artist Check In

Dec 30: Deadline. Posting of all works

hi im avian or reptilianraven on ao3 and im interested in organizing a mini big bang challenge for the pcpr fandom!

what is a Mini Big Bang?

what is the minimum wordcount?

this is negotiable, depending on the fanfic writers who are interested in participating. im setting the placeholder minimum wordcount as 3k, but if you are interested in participating in an event like this and this wordcount is daunting for you, drop your preferred wordcount in the replies!

what is the schedule of this event?

im not sure yet, but my placeholder event duration is three months. again, if you are interested but this timeframe is daunting to you, feel free to leave your suggestions in the replies!

how will writer/artist pairings work?

in the beginning week of the event, i will post writer sign ups. this sign up will include basic information like tumblr username, ao3 username, the basic gist of your fic. you do not have to have your fic already written, at the sign up portion. just have a basic idea of what you’re going to write. at this same time, i will open artist sign ups with the same ish information stuffs. 

around one month into event, writers will be required to submit a synopsis/summary of their fanfic. these summaries will be posted anonymously, and artists who signed up will have the opportunity to claim a fic to make art for on a first come first serve basis. 

from here on out, writers and their paired artists can communicate and work together

again, this is all still theoretical. im basing this off of previous bang events i have participated in, so if you have any suggestions, drop them in the comments.
