They felt the couch dip next to them and looked up from their essay.
"Hey," He spoke in a quiet voice.
"Oh, hi" y/n said in a surprised tone. Their mind searching for an excuse to leave.
"Sorry, but I was just about to go to bed." They started gather up their potions essay before Ron could say anything, but they weren't quick enough.
"You're not being very subtle," he looked up at them, "you know."
Y/n felt their eyes sting as they stood up.
"I don't know what you're talking about." They said and started walking towards the dorms.
"Please," Ron spoke, " I don't know what I did wrong."
Y/n heard a loud laugh come from somewhere else in the common room. A laugh that belonged to Lavender Brown.
"Nothing," they muttered under their breath, "you've done absolutely nothing."
