So if you are normal, here, you should have said something like, WHAT???
Me, in my very serious uni paper
What I say in my paper: it cannot be said that emotional and moral complexity was absent from literature before the psychological novels
What I mean : if you EVER talk shit about my boy Claudas I will personally fight you.
What I say in my paper : this is an oversimplification that could almost be considered incorrect because of the lack of sources and hard evidence but it allows for a succinct explanation and a clearer point
What I mean : my mom is going to read this and if you’re making me write out the actual explanation for this you’ll be the one picking up the phone when she doesn’t understand
outfit going into my final exam, colours match the sky as of late
the ice is melting and the plants and trees are in bloom again! that means it is optimal time for us to bloom as well. come join me on my co-working/body-doubling stream and we will plant new metaphorical seeds to grow our metaphorical gardens and grow with the spring!
unhinged study hack of the night: doing a long-winded braindump on a topic like a AITA post with way too much preamble, and then commenting on it underneath with a bitchy TLDR to summarize the notes.
Just finished up the last week of classes this evening with 2/2 exams this week!

hey i'm gonna work on an assignment, if you wanted to join?
i don't know what i was thinking when i decided to study journalism
(i'm exaggerating)
(actually i like what i study, i just like to complain)
(plus i'm CRAMPS)
(i want to be in my bed, but i have to study)
me, having no inspiration to write in my wip:
also me, writing inspiring things on tumblr for other young writers: do you hear something? procrastination who? sips tea
stop what you're doing.
listen to me.
breathe.
it's okay to be overwhelmed at the idea of writing in your wip. it's okay to procrastinate. you have all the time in the world. it's okay to write in it months later, if you need that break, if you can't find inspiration.
stop stressing over your penmanship. it can be fixed. stop stressing over your word choice. that's what editing is for.
if your wip feels incomplete, don't start over. reread, plan, write. save the editing for after it's all on paper.
as writers, we often terrorize ourselves for not writing perfectly the first time. thing is, we don't realize that we're giving ourselves reason to stop writing. nothing you write will ever be perfect the first time, maybe not even the second time.
you just have to remember to breathe, come back to it later, and leave those worries behind.
i - can't find your inspiration? needing to focus? use essential oils! dab some on your paper, or even directly into the ink! peppermint is fantastic for calming the mind and helping to concentrate! rosemary is another great example of enhancing cognitive performance.
and for those techy witches scolding me for even suggesting essential oils on computers, no worries! place a drop or two on your inner wrist!
ii - mediate next to your wip! this is an amazing way to connect further with your characters and the world inside!
iii - light some candles! scented or unscented are fine. after all, it's the color that matters! yellow can help specifically with increasing activity, while brown promotes concentration.
iv - use crystals! i use crystals daily and they give me a lot of energy! use alexandrite for that little spark of inspiration!
v - tea! before, during, or even after writing, drinking tea has always aided me. i use a mixture of lavender and peppermint to boost my mood, spark creativity, and it's incredible for your immune system!
vi - make your own pen/enchant your pen
i suppose making your own pen is a bit far-fetched, right? so, perhaps you can find a feather that calls to you. doesn't sound appealing? enchant the pen you favor and let the pen do the thinking for you.
never editted your WIP
never enjoyed it thoroughly
never felt satisfied enough
if you're nothing but pleased
if all you do is edit
if you never write anymore
if you've abandoned, ripped up, shredded, or spit on the very pages you held dearly—
your WIP is amazing and nothing will ever make you any less of an author.
☼ my name is avery and my blog runs two themes at once! witch themes/writing themes.
☼ if you haven't made the connection already, i'm an aspiring author and an inspiring witch!
☼ i just recently got back into writing after a two year hiatus, unfortunately stemming from a spiral in depression. i've realized that writing makes me feel better :)
☼ even better news, i've started my very first novel! i plan on attempting to get it published in early 2022, but that's a long-term goal.
☼ i love writing in my grimoire the most! something about being able to create not only memories, but test out my artist skills as well makes me feel alive!
☼ i hope to become a positive member in this community and i love making new friends! feel free to message me, especially if you want an opinion on your writing! i love reading!
☼ my favorite author right now is andrea cremer! she actually inspired this novel!
Here is a masterpost of MOOCs (massive open online courses) that are available, archived, or starting soon. I think they will help those that like to learn with a teacher or with videos. You can always check the audit course or no certificate option so that you can learn for free.
