Curate, connect, and discover
Hi everyone!
In short, while I was working on the art called "magnum opus", I decided to make another test art for another type of painting to decide which one I would use.
But due to some unpleasant circumstances related to my university's accounting, I have to suspend the work for an indefinite period. Both arts will be finished, I promise!)
And while I'm working on solving the problems, I made sketches of my OCs. Even though I haven't used most of them for a long time, I refuse to forget them! Although they are unfinished, each of them has at least a small story from my life associated with it, if anyone is interested.
In the meantime, wait for more arts and bye!)
Meet Lume!
Honestly, I thought for a long time about what to come up with as a description, and in the end I decided to write the truth as it is...
So, initially, about three years ago, Lume was conceived as a fanchild-character for the Light Entertainment ship (Magnus x RGB), which is actually why he has such a name, Luminous.
But at some point I realized that I liked this little guy so much that I decided to separate him from "The Property of Hate" and make him a character in his own story...
In the end, no matter how hard I tried, I only managed to turn his existence into a nightmare: I deprived him of his parents and home, condemned him to a life without purpose and meaning, and later I tried to "get rid" of him, which I really regret...(
But, somehow, because of how deeply this crippled creation sank into my soul, I decided to "resurrect" him with the thought: "I have long ago revised the policy of my posts, so let it be. He deserved it. He deserved to live.")
For those who are interested:
1) I made a mini-comic about him a long time ago, but unfortunately I lost it. I remember the content, and it won't be a big problem to restore it, but I don't think anyone will like this angst...
2) Lume's head is a glass cube (shape from RGB, material from Magnus).
3) It's not a halo or something like that above his head, but a kind of "crown of thorns"... The marks from the shackles also mean the torment I doomed him to...
I have no idea what emotion this makes me feel, but it's strong...
oh my g od
I couldn’t sleep very well last night and so I decided to go through the comic again, because there is always something new to discover. And I found something I haven’t thought about before.
On the Market, RGB asked Watcher for a service and the owl looked at his hand as a payment. He just RIPPED his hand clean off. Why didn’t he offer just the glove? He fed the owl buttons from his jacked after, so I think just the glove would be also sufficient.
And I then thought that maybe the gloves alone worked as his hands, but he CAN take of his gloves. Earlier in the comic, he asked Madras for new pair after their encounter with Fears.
There is also something I noticed during their staying at Cell’s. He got his hand replaced with rabbit foot. And the paw changed into his hand, along with his glove. And during the change he doesn’s say the ‘magic words’. It makes me really question about how his body works and his position in the story/world.
Hero is surprised by the change and he mumbles: “Or, rather I did not...”
What the hell did he meant by that?
Now, I just discovered The Property of Hate last week, but MAN, I NEVER GOT INTO SOMETHING SO QUICKLY.
It is simply one of the most well-crafted worlds, full of awesome characters and all of this is backed up with an astonishing art. If you haven’t checked it out already, you are missing on something big.
As I said I am not in the fandom for that long and during the week I obsessed over it, I tried to dig up all the info and theories that were spreading through the community. But there is something I haven’t seen to be addressed.
Hero is sleeping on a bunk bed. Via the first picture above. And one thing that bugs me is, why is she on a bunk bed if there is no one sleeping on the lower level. It is completely abandoned, there are no sheets, a pillow or blankets. She even states it hurts her feet to climb the ladder (the second pic), so why is she sleeping on the top one? I am honestly curious if this will ever be explained or if it will remain a mystery, but I would really like to know.
What do you think?
It got me hooked right from the beginning <3
hehehe hooked, see what I did there :3
Title: The Property of Hate Author: Sarah Jolley The Property of Hate is an ongoing, graphic novel style webcomic by Sarah Jolley. The first page was posted in February 2012 and the archive totals 129 pages as of this writing. TPoH follows the story of RGB, on a quest to save his world, and a young girl known simply as ‘the Hero’, whom RGB has asked for help. It’s hard to summarize this one because there is so much that is, as of yet, unexplained. What exactly RGB’s world is and what is threatening it haven’t been revealed. What we do know is that it’s made of abstractions. Concepts are given physical form here. Lies, doubts, ideas, grief… all these things (and others) are living things that populate the world. Some of them are friendly, many are dangerous. So far the story is about our main characters’ journey toward “her” (Hate, I assume), and their dealings with the world’s inhabitants and each other. A fascinating read. This is a comic I stumbled onto completely by accident, and I’m happy I did. The art is nothing short of wonderful. The way that so many styles have been blended together is unique, pretty, and absolutely appropriate considering the setting. As far as the story goes, we don’t know what’s going on, and that’s… really good, actually. It sets a mood, and it’s an ominous one, if you ask me. The Hero has been through some awful stuff already, and we haven’t even met the titular character yet. Oh, and by the way, you will feel for the Hero. So, so much. All in all, it’s a well told story that gets you emotionally involved, keeps you wondering and guessing and waiting impatiently to find out what happens next. That said, resist the urge to rush through, read it carefully and pay attention, it’ll be that much more enjoyable. I love The Property of Hate. I think you will too. Read it here.
rgb gets what he deserves and what he deserves is a good dress
accidentally got into the property of hate, literally the best comic in my life🙏🙏🙏
