random thought I had the other day but never shared but. Ty lowkey parallels King David. I was thinking about QOAAD & the Battle on the Imperishable Fields, and how it's kinda weird Ty is mentioned multiple times to be using slingshot because that's not a typical shadowhunter weapon we see. then it occurred to me that literally a battle where giants show up and Ty helps "slay" them so to speak. like David & Goliath, which is also previously mentioned in QOAAD by Emma
where Julian's words are equated to David's stones. and by the way, David is said to have five stone and who's the fifth Blackthorn to try & speak to Julian & Emma? Ty. and this is what happens when he does.
not only that but King David of David & Goliath fame is also the David of (biblical) David & Jonathan fame, which the parabatai law draws inspiration from. aka the thing actively going wrong at that very moment.
