I couldn't decide which version I liked better, so have both :)
10 or 11 little ducks have been spotted crossing the dash board

What if you woke up one day as a dragon 🐉(in minecraft)
to be a small kitten in the pines 🌲
Finally finished this dang piece after starting it over a year ago and giving up when I got to shading.
These are 2 of my OCs who I haven't really talked about before, and for good reason- I only have their lore partially thought out and they don't even have names yet.
Yes they are in love.
ANYWAY. This was super experimental, I was trying out things I've never done before, such as actually shading fur for once, which is why it might look a little wonky. I also worked on shading the cow a few months after I did the dragon, which is why they have 2 different styles of shading.
I'm somewhat proud of my work, but I'm not super happy about how it came out, so I may eventually revisit this to make some alterations since I definitely know theres things I could work on, but for now I'm just so tired of having it as a WIP so here it is.
And here's the sketch.
Y'know, I think horror based on things that are childish and cutesy is great. Like, taking something that's supposed to be friendly and spreading happiness and twisting it to be horrible and bad is so cool.
Five Nights at Freddy's? Took a wonderland with goofy friendly talking animals and made them possessed and murderous.
Bendy and the Ink Machine? I know nothing about it but they have those funky lil ink mascots which look pretty friendly but They're Not.
Poppy Playtime? I don't know much about it, but they turned that big tall cute blue boi and turned him into some sort of killer defense system. Killer toys.
Then there's a newer one, My Friendly Neighborhood? Took muppets and made them murderous.
My favorite kind of horror. I love it. Give me more.
I really ought to post here more often. Here's a cute pic of my sona <3
So, we know modern domesticated, (and even some wild!) animals enjoy being petted.
The question is. How far back in the history of evolution does this trait go?
What dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals would have loved a good head rub?? Which ones would have flopped over for some under-the-chin scritches??? Would some of them have headbutted you to ask for more affection like a cat??? Did some make happy sounds, like purring???
This is information I need. I need to know. Animals today exhibit these behaviors so it's pretty likely they could have done so in the past too!!
The idea of them being affectionate towards each other as well (as opposed to how they're often portrayed hunting/fighting/being scary) makes me happy too. I desperately wish we could see how they behaved.
Just another kitty on the internet! | She/Her | 21 yrs old | Born October 27th | Not open for commissions- sorry! | https://linktr.ee/8bitida | Aspring geologist | Plant mom & environmentalist | I'm a fan of many things- fossils, cool bugs, pretty plants, kitty cats, 60s/70s aesthetics, succulents, cottagecore, fantasy worlds, and even more. | I draw from time to time, and post it occasionally, but I don't particularly have any reliable schedule (expect long silences! I'm a busy STEM major college student!) Obviously expect to see furry art, but I've got other interests I may draw and post once in a blue moon | A bit of a gamer (when I'm not busy) who likes modded Minecraft & Roblox a little too much |
