I take every single opportunity to project my sensory issues/neurodivergence on every character with perpetual headphones- Nino included.
Some headcanons about the main 5 and their persona changes under the cut!
Each protag has something that changes when they're in either one of their personas.
The main two's are obvious and fairly cloae to canon but the other three are a little bit different since they pertain a lot to this AU'S headcanons.
- Marinette's biggest is her confidence and decision making that doesnt always come through in her civilian form.
-Adrien's is his carefree attitude and agency that he doesn't have in his everyday life.
The more headcanony ones:
- Alya is always mediating between her older sister, parents, and little siblings. With her older sister and dad butting heads a lot, and the twins being the pranksters they are, Alya's patient and calm front to the situations helps keep everything under control. Constantly emotionally aware and trying to monitor everyone's moods, but doesn't abuse the influence she has in her family. D O E S however manipulate the FUCK out of her enemies when transformed. Makes the trickster part of her miraculous proud.
Also does gentle parent her teammates when there's a dispute. Only Carapace has noticed.
- Chloe in this AU is like Jane Austen's "Emma": constantly helping her dad keep things in order. Has been the one honestly running the hotel business since she was 10, at least in every aspect but on paper. She sees her dad and his bouts of depression, and tries her best to ease his workload at home at least. She's not perfect, but she's trying. As class president, she tries to please everyone and lead with a firm, but fair, hand. In comparison to the busy mayor's daughter who's tried her best to clean up her image and ebb her temper, Queen Bee is a harsh critic. Chloe feels her emotions much more freely when transformed, and is the most willing of her teammates to do the dirty work that needs to get done.
- Nino's grew up entertaining his brother while their mom would work late, taking on a more upbeat attitude longer than he would actually be comfortable with. This behavior moved into school too, where he got into habit of pushing his social battery past what it should while trying to make everyone comfortable. Doesn't mask as much with the class and his main friend group, and always puts his headphones on as a "do not disturb sign" that everyone in class respects. Carapace is the complete opposite. Since there's no need for a social buffer between the heroes and Carapace was the last to join and was welcomed warmly- Nino stays mute/speaking when necessary and has his gear help buffer his senses. Incredibly observant since he's not draining himself, and is the best defense and tank the team could ask for.
Day 17 - Scapegoat / A Repeat of History
honey you are the worst liar to ever grace god’s green earth
Before I watched season 2 of squid game I was quite sceptical and not sure if I was going to watch it despite loving the first season.
I think what I worried about is a 2nd season made not to tell something but simply for Netflix to make more money. ie: captilism.
I'm already quite sceptical of other shows doing the same thing. I question, are they making another season of this popular show because it has more story to tell or is it milking it dry. And pushing a story for such reasons always ends up badly.
This was more worrying for me because it was SQUID GAME, the show criticizing capitalism.
I was worried it would take the amazing story telling and themes of the 1st season and throw them away. That it would be a poor attempt at trying to get the attention and money that it had in 2021. A poor copy.
(Needless to say, I was thankfully mistaken)
I saw a lot of fanart and fan content for season 2 which meant people liked it, 'and sure it maybe wouldn't have the same themes but at least it might be fun'--- I thought like a fool.
My goodness do I love season 2. Actually more than season 1 probably. Hot take I know. I'm not saying it's better, I'm just saying I enjoy it more.
It built on the themes of season 1 and is growing on the point it made. That's incredibly important for any show but especially for one like Squid game with strong themes.
And also it hit home to, because how season 2 (the games) were set up it reminded me so much of the political climate and economy in America. Its crazy to me that a show that doesn't even take place in America reminds me of America. I watched this season only a week or so after the inauguration and it smacked me dead in the face.
With the voting, how its main purpose is turning the players against each other. The red and blue color scheme of the votes (which is I think referencing the Matrix, the red and blue pills specifically) but also still reminds me of America's colors. How the voting and the fighting distracted the players from the true enemy, the ones with the money and the ones controlling them. My goodness kendnrjekkeke, I can talk about this season endlessly.
I'm also fascinated by the things that happened in the beginning of the season. Specifically the recruiter and what he was doing. It set up the season perfectly! It had a bunch of the major themes in his actions and also the things surrounding him. Like, the two loan shark guys (who one was the one that threatened Gi-hun in season 1 which reveals interesting things about Gi-hun), their friendship and how the dude sacrificed himself for the other. That single scene reveals that humans, people, even cruel ones, can care for each other and sacrifice everything. That was in the beginning of the season too!!! I found that it said so much.
Anyhow, squid game did have more to say, and I think it has much more. I excited for season 3

Just started Supernatural season 8 and it's pretty good but I'm confused about Dean and Sams opinions right now. Sam wants a normal life now which makes sense after the Cage but he didn't even look for Dean which is basically just abandoning him. So it makes sense why Dean would be angry and feeling like he was in fact abandoned. But what Im confused about is why Dean is angry that Sam wants a normal life. Im pretty sure that is what Dean had been wanting for Sam for a while. The only reason I can think this is, is that Dean is desperately wanting something normal after Purgatory and is getting angry at Sam, not cause he wants a normal life but because Dean feels like Sam no longer wants him around. This season feels a lot like season 1 and it's kinda annoying cause it's hard to see their character development when it's so similar to season 1.
I'm hoping the rest of the season will explain their switching opinions and stances on things.
I just needed to say something. I'm kind of frustrated.
I keep being told by my friends that I am a empathetic friend who is lovely to be a around.
They need to stop with all that or I'll start to believe it goddamn it. Then no one will be happy.
How am I supposed to force myself to be a happy, go lucky person if I don't have crippling self esteem.
Think people. Think.
Idiots.
Siblings are like besties but most of the time they wouldn’t be friends if they weren’t born or adopted by the same parents. And quite frankly, I think siblings are one of the best relationships to write. It can be so fun! Constant bickering, chaos following where ever they go, and the secret family love they have for eachother.
Of course, some siblings are enemies. This isn’t uncommon in stories. Some siblings have finally just met, and need time to get to know each other. And some avoid each other like the plague. But I want to talk about normal, perhaps teenager siblings. This can be for any age though, so ENJOY!
Arguments
If there’s something you can predict being on this list, it’s disagreements. SIblings didn’t have a choice to be placed together, (this is different than best friends), there for they could have contrasting and grating personalities.
Some siblings are constantly fighting, sometimes with words other times with physical violence. But make sure the arguments are not hateful. They could be if the people are really furious, but most of the time there should only be shouting and glares. Nothing that could ruin a relationship.
Love
You may not know it, but 9/10 siblings love each other (in a family way). They have grown up together (unless if there’s a serious age difference or were separated). They have shared their lives, and had many fond memories. They should care about each other. Stick up for one another. If one is in danger the other should risk their life to save them, even right after a argument.
Usually siblings don’t explicitly show their love. In fact they try to hide, perhaps even lie. This is usually because of their pride and not wanting the other to have an upperhand. Adult siblings, I have noticed, are normally not so prideful and do show their feelings. But almost all teenagers, children, and young adults do not.
This can change if they have been through a traumatic situation. Most people reveal their true emotions during hard times, especially if they had almost died. So take this into account.
Good Moments
The best parts of relationships. Good moments are necessary in all bond that involve love.
Siblings may not be similar in personalities but they should know the other’s personality well. Like I said earlier, they have shared their lives together, they should know their siblings inside and out. They know what they like, their preferences and favorite stuff.
Siblings can be completely opposites, but they should have some similarities. Not only in physical descriptions, but also in their dislikes and likes. Like how everybody is different, everyone is also similar in some way.
I have a brother who gets on my nerves a lot. But we both love many foods, shows, and activities. This should be the same for your characters, maybe not foods but perhaps other things. This is a good way to have good moments.
Flashbacks aren’t bad either. I don’t mean for you to write a flashback, those are usually really boring, but if the siblings bring up a funny moment in their past, they can have a good laugh and the reader can see more of their relationship.
Relationship Development
Siblings relationships are strange. Develop your characters in your own way but siblings sometimes don’t need their relationship to develop. They already care about one another, they already know almost everything about the other, but as they grow as people their bond may grow to.
Maybe the siblings were put into a life risking situation. This can make the them realize that they have limited time together and may change them in some way. Or it may be that one is moving away. Perhaps their parents died. Anything can happen.
Sibling relationships are special. They can care about each other simply because their blood. They are family, almost everyone can relate to having family. Less people have lovers or even best friends. Therefore it’s important for you show their connection right, and also make it fun or depressing for the reader to read. It should never be boring.
I base a lot of my characters who are siblings off of my own brother and sister. So not of this advice may apply to you. But thanks for reading, have a FANTASTIC day!😀
