For someone who loves fruit patterns, I don’t own any clothes with fruit on them. Guess that’s what a fursona’s for.
Had the lineart for this sitting in my iPad for several months and decided to just bite the bullet and complete it last week. Here be my current versions of Ahadi and Uru with their currently three kids, Mufasa, Taka, and Jamaa. (I’m on the fence about giving them more kids.) Given that he’s just a scruffier Mufasa, I decided to make Simba’s uncle from An Unusual Choir biologically related to him through Mufasa.
I’m also really in love with the idea of Ahadi having a bi-colored mane where at least one of the colors doesn’t match those of his sons. As for where Mufasa gets his red mane from, well Taka/Scar’s and Uru’s mane/tail tufts are actually an extremely dark and saturated red, so I figured Ahadi’s much lighter mane would give Mufasa his red one. Or maybe it’s a recessive trait on Uru’s side of the family. In some scans of The Brightest Star, Mohatu’s mane is reddish.
The green eyes and brown nose are definitely recessive traits from Uru.

Under the cut are clues to what everything means.
Not all of these are references, but a lot of them are.
If something has a unit next to it, convert it to one you’re more familiar with.
The coordinates and cargo amounts are Dewey Decimal.
Those seemingly random pairs of numbers and letters are text converted to hexadecimal.
The binary means nothing.
If you don’t know what an image is, it’s probably related to quantum mechanics.

A little something I’ve been working on for the past 2 weeks. Since I love fashion and patterns made up of “unconventional” components, thought I’d try my hand at making something like that. It’s nothing spectacular, and I don’t expect much to become of it, but it was nice to try out.
Some self-indulgent (well, more than usual) art of my fursona. I’ve pretty much always wanted to be a dad-mom, settle down and have kids with someone, but a lot in my life has made that very unlikely. So instead, Matonne gets to be my proxy.
His wife (and other mother to their kid) is the cat gal I sketched up 3 years ago (to the day and that was not planned). I still have no name for her or their kid.
[Image Description: Drawing of two humanoid furry characters sitting on a couch, talking to each other while drinking hot cocoa. The one on the left is an adult with tan fur, the head of a rabbit, the tail of a lion, and the legs of a horse. He is wearing a dress that says “World’s Okayest Dad” and holding a mug that says “#2 Mom, My wife won out”. He is also pregnant. He is smiling down at his toddler child as they raise their fist in joy. The toddler looks like a Siamese cat with white hands and white hooves for feet. They are wearing a yellow shirt with a blue heart on it, striped yellow leggings, and a bracelet. On the walls are various photos and paintings, some of these photos are of the characters and their family. End of Description]
Finally finished my half of the older Frisk/Monster Kid art with @evrgloww. It’s not much, but the project has been helping me get back into the swing of doing digital art (and art in general). I ended up drawing up half a dozen draft sketches before settling on something that looked good, but wouldn’t break the art side of my brain.
I’m also pretty sure their version of MK is much taller than how I just drew them.
Had some doctor’s visits that took me away from art, but I am back at it with JayeBirde’s a colorpoint kitty. Decided to play around with some color filters given how quick I pumped this one out.
First time drawing one of my pal @nerdwingarts‘s characters for ArtFight. The outfit was probably the most challenging to come up with (you can tell my expertise lies mostly with modern Western fashion) but I had a lot of fun just drawing those giant wings.
[Image Description: A reference sheet of a fat, dark-skinned character with curly black hair that is tied back. He are wearing glasses, a black hoodie, pink t-shirt, gray pants, and black shoes. His name is written at the bottom of the image: Alex Anderson. End of Description.]
An old reference sheet for an updated design of my character Alex.
Just another drawing of Matonne.
To all my fellow artists out there…
