If you get teleported to the 1920's invest everything in cinema the price of it will be pretty dam low the first few months or years but when the great depression hits you can sell that stuff for hundreds of dollars and do not under any circumstances put your money in the bank.
Also if you want to invest in other stuff steel is a good option if quite a bit cheaper.
