I think one of the most incredible things about gmmtvs artistic direction *is* their dedication towards the commonplace the steady the familiar. Not only do they make boring gay shows (in addition to the exciting and interesting imo) but they do it consistently every single year. Every single year they make terrible shows and boring shows; shows you can put on in the background and promptly fall asleep during shows that I consistently forget exists or even aired (in addition to the great!).

Will P’Golf ever stick the landing in their shows? idk but they certainly will be directing till we find out 😂 Is New Siwaj on some quest to turn his low stakes college anthology style into like a degrassi or skins-esque staple? idk gonna find out during gmmtv2026. Which formative media for Jojo is going to become his next aesthetic centerpoint? Idk but we gonna find out. Will Aof Nopparnach ever stop directing like he wished he was making lakorns instead? maybe if it’s RPF but idk we gotta find out.

My favourite, favourite, favourite thing in The Heart Killers is watching Fadel watching Style. Fadel is so far gone, he is so deeply, irreconcilably down the rabbit hole of love with this insane bubblegum pink ferret and the way he just watches him with a combination of confusion, fascination, anger and utter helplessness, either completely in denial of his feelings or, the other devastating option, guard completely down, a puddle of vulnerability watching this care bear on acid with tenderness and love and still that lingering fear and desperation, the way that all plays out on Fadel’s face is just wonderful.

And the kicker is while Fadel is going through this entire journey, you go wide screen to see what he’s seeing and it’s Style, the human equivalent of a runaway hamster in one of those plastic balls, rolling around in a crop top squawking. This. This is your man Fadel. This is your beloved. The court jester jingle jangling his bells and tap dancing. That’s him. That’s the source of your pain and confusion and lust and love and your peril and your desire and your hope and your future. Jingle jangle.

It's the way Fadel just folds into Style's lap for comfort and Style takes care of him, stroking his hair and leaning over him, giving him the protection and love he's craved but cut himself off from.

Okay but Joong acted the shit out of that scene

His facial expressions, the tear streak, the gaze - jesus I was enthralled

My favourite part of the scene was when he just crumbled into Style's lap - that was the most genuine reaction and I lived every second of it

This is the BPD representation I didn't expect but turned out it was the best one out there

Rang's self worth issues just break my heart this season. I don't know how this boy does not see how much he gives back to people. How he only sees himself as someone who is incapable of being loved, someone who is a failure and can't protect anyone.

On the other hand, he would gladly see the best of people despite being hurt by them.

While i can understand his sentiments when it comes to Yeo hee, though even with her, once he decided to accept his feelings, he was completely willing to lay his life down for her and fought for her with his life.

But when it comes to Yeon, he has given back more than enough even when he has not received the same kindness back. I know that this Rang is not my 2020 Rang yet. But even 1938 Rang has been willing to die protecting his brother and we all saw that. Also, I don't understand why this Rang never seems to bring about the fact that he was very mercilessly cut down by said brother. Maybe because the writers want us to forget that Yeon was ever mean to him. Well, I refuse to forget that.

My boy never sees the good that he does but ends up holding everyone he loves at this pedestal. Show him the bare minimum love and affection and he would just gladly die protecting you. And i am not just winging it, he almost died protecting Shin ju in the well this season despite being all mad over him.

All these years of trauma and being abandoned by the people that he loved the most has just built my boy in a way that he believes he is just a stain, a burden, someone who has nothing to offer. And I need someone to tell him otherwise. Tell him how he has such a big heart and how he gives back so much more than he has ever received. 🥺

But the entire season, they ended up focusing on clearing Yeon's conscience. I believe all that matters to the writers is showing us just how much Yeon loves his brother. But the best way to do that would have been if they had acknowledged the pain that he had caused and apologised for it. Made Rang see his worth rather than pretending and believing that he never did anything wrong.

Ah, I might just keep on ranting if I don't stop but someone please help my boy see how precious he is. And he does not need to die for his life to be of some value. 🥺

I really want to see another season of this

There's still a lot to be explored in terms of human vs demon morality + I want to see more of Bitna and Daon's romance

I think the final episode perfectly set up the second season, it just has to be greenlit by the network and we're good to go

Definitely down for a season 2 of Judge From Hell! Felt that the romance wasn’t very strong in the last half of the episodes, but I had so much fun with the rest of the show that I can forgive it.

Also Park Shinhye is now an ultimate villain for me. Loved seeing how she transformed for this role, excited to see what her next casting will be
