Important Reminders
Hi are you from india sorry if its weird asking out of nowhere
Nope it's completely fine! Yep I am from India. Brown and Proud haha :)
God declared guilt the day his image
Ran away from Him-
Grew red with fury,
Grew up, up, up, up;
Until he covered the sky.
Eve was not the one who brought damnation or sin, no,
God named sin the day
Someone disobeyed him;
Who is god if not a living thing?
Eve came in a storm shock,
Came a reminder for God
That one day
Thou shan't be
The Judge,
The Jury and
The Executioner;
Thou shan't be the harbinger
Of all this fury.
A woman carved herself a piece of sin
The day she walked out of obedience,
Walked out of being a mere accomplice to a man.
In an act of trust, Eve reclaimed herself;
Don't you get it?
Lilith ran away from the disgrace of submission
And God named her fallen,
Named her a demon,
Named her evil;
Wiped out the first injustice
From memory.
What is so bad about morality?
To know the good and evil;
The first humans bit into the apple
And the apple grew them a conscience-
Grew the thought that there was a body.
Grew the feeling of all of this being,
Being here,
Grew the thought that they were here.
The Garden shut its gates
And the humans wandered off;
The first act of foolishness will perhaps always be trust.
Eve trusted the serpent,
Adam trusted Eve
And God trusted something human.

Hands held breaths,
Claimed themselves to be Gods today;
Said:
Here lies a body-
And the life within,
Both held in my grasp.
We do not have the habit of letting go;
Even in infanthood
They taught us how to hold things,
Clutch them tight,
For anything given the chance of leaving
Will run away from you.
I have gone through life
Holding things that do not embrace me back;
I have the cuts to prove it.
Sometimes, we cut parts of ourselves
Just to watch something heal.
What are hands
If not something that holds
Another thing;
Another person,
Another body?
Sometimes hands let things fall,
Get tired of holding so much of
What does not want to stay;
Hands look in the mirror,
Ask themselves what have they become,
What have they done?
All that blood and all that glory:
You can not wash away either.
I once wrote a poem.
And the poem strangled me.
I wrote another
And it held me.
How do you know who is here for the slaughter
And who will embrace you,
Unless you see their hands
Reach for you?
You know you cherish them
When their absence aches-
A non-existence of ache
That attaches itself to you.
And sometimes we cherish those
Who slaughter us.
Like God.
Or the hands of our lovers.
I think the kindest thing a God could do
Would be to leave us alone;
To not stand there, peer over our heads,
Look into us, quite so literally-
Not keep a track of the actions,
Of intentions;
Or disapprove what we became.
Gods bring catastrophes
We are not ready for;
Bring forth wreckage,
Not knowing what to do;
Gods cause so much damage;
I mean Hands.
Hands reaching for things
They do not know how to hold yet.
Perhaps Hands should leave things be,
Unclench those fists,
See how much there is
To simply caress.
A.G.
It hurt so bad and I did not want to feel all of this pain and dread anymore.
You held me close before you stabbed me.
I guess there are people close by
Who keep you at a sword's length
So they get to use it.
Your kisses tasted an awful lot like war
And I will not be your white flag anymore.
Our fights felt like the earth shaking,
Felt like war cry;
The silence felt like an interstice between two tragedies.
Our kisses grew shorter
And interruptions became devastating
Until you finally struck and won the battle,
Won the war.
There's blood between us now
And one tragedy in all of this silence//
It has been a year since we last talked.
The sadness made a home out of this body
And there wasn't enough space for the both of us here
I could feel myself become empty,
Feel my body become things it never has been;
I felt the sadness seep in when I was already done getting out of myself,
I wasn't there anymore.
The sadness made a house out of my bones
And I collapsed into things that did not resemble a person anymore.
I am still trying to look for pieces in the rubble
And create a whole person out of all this mess.
Kabir walked after death,
Walked his own body to a grave.
Flowers bloomed and plucked themselves
Out of their homes,
Placed themselves in the middle
Of life and a walk to the grave
To let a man leave in peace.
Kashi born,
He walked with the conviction
He had in his knowledge,
Challenged the Orthodoxes,
Challenged the convention;
Kashi born guaranteed a place in heavens
He gave it all up,
Got himself cremated and burried at the same time,
Got himself fights throughout life
And even afterwards,
Got himself a piece of satisfaction,
Got himself legends and disciples
And angry purohits,
Got a piece of logic and equality of castes
When there were no such words
And Brahmins were gods.
Man dead already,
Looked at his funerals,
Looked at the burial
And felt his head turn towards Meccah,
Could hear the verses ring in his ears
As the soil washed over the lack of his body:
"We created you from it,
And return you into it,
And from it we will raise you a second time";
Looked at the cremation
And felt his soul return to the gods
As they proceeded with the Antim Sanskaar, chanted:
"When thou hast made him ready,
All possessing Fire,
Then do thou give him over to the Fathers,
When he attains unto the life that waits him,
He shall become subject to the will of gods".
Please don't let the government or anyone erase any more of history. It is on you. You have a responsibility.
EDUCATE YOURSELF.
Be neutral for long enough to realise that perhaps you are in the wrong.
Form educated opinions which are backed up by facts.
Try reliable sources and if reliable sources fail you, try to gain perspective from different ones.
If you don't know enough to have an opinion, SAY SO. Don't just sprout some bullshit to sound intelligent, you don't. You sound ignorant and hateful. When did it become wrong to just admit that you don't have enough information to form a well educated opinion?
When in doubt, always take the stance which doesn't undermine a person's life or belief or belittle them or discriminate against them.
