Found this drawing of a mushroom I did a while ago. At least a month ago…probably two or two and a half, honestly.

I know I was trying to use gouache to color it in. The outline is a sharpie paint pen thing.

It is National Puppy Day my dudes, gals, and non-binary pals. Enjoy this drawing of a puppy I did.

I’m not very good at drawing dogs, lol. I tried to use the same technique I used with drawing the black cat.

Saw that it was easy to draw black cats just by drawing a blob and adding eyes. Figured I’d give it a try…

Concept art ideas for two of the main characters in my story I’m starting to write again. I started writing it when I was 11 (during the pandemic) and recently rediscovered it.

Characters:

Luna Pearl (main character) [I drew her last and got lazy, lol. I’m not really good at drawing two eyes or hands yet…and I drew the hoodie after I drew her hands behind her back…😭] I’ll redraw her soon, I swear.

Rose Star (first acquired friend) [Had a lot more motivation with drawing her since I drew her first…]

Drew this first today.

Decided to try drawing more flowers…didn’t turn out as well as I thought it would, but oh well.

Tried to draw a mushroom just based on shadows (my art teacher said that’s the best way to draw realism).

Just pictured a mushroom in my head and this was what popped up. This is probably my favorite!!

Tried to do darker colors…it turned out ok. This was my first time trying to shade the inside of a bowl-like structure.

I love these!! They’re so cute!! You had me with the mushrooms, but then I noticed in the zodiac stuff, the cute little bugs, and the little animal carousel? I’m sold. Beautiful.

Drew the little guys (paramecium) that I saw in biology class yesterday. I dunno why one of them was purple, lol. (These are exaggerated colors, btw. They weren’t this vibrant.)

Me and my mom did something similar to this (last summer, I believe). Someone even had the balls to ask if we weren’t gonna stand up for the national anthem. My mom gave him a death glare and he shut up.

Also, in grade school, I stopped saying the “one nation, under God” thing in the pledge of allegiance because it made me uncomfortable (we’re not religious). It was my mom’s advice. Wish I hadn’t said the pledge of allegiance at all, but I wasn’t fully aware of how cult-y it was back then. Can’t believe they have children doing that every day they go to school.

But yes, please don’t succumb to being a mindless zombie for those in power. Speak out and fight back. The world won’t ever get better if we continue to do nothing.

everyone will be looking at you. you'll be sweating like a fucking hippopotamus. your teacher will sternly tell you to get up. you'll feel stupid and that maybe its not worth it because you're just a kid in a classroom. but I'm here to remind you that there are no real life consequences to detention. there are however real life consequences to resisting a thoughtless performance of nationalism.
