"I'm gonna kill myself."

Barbatos's eye twitches in slight annoyance on Diavolo breaking his afternoon alone tea time. "And why is that exactly you have taken this decision?", the butler sighs, putting down his cup of tea.

"MC.....they're angry with me", now that peaks Barbatos's interest. You hardly ever manage to lose your temper with the prince.

He struggles to be proper and not laugh out loud at the sunken look on Diavolo, though he smiles amused. The young royal looks like the embodiment of a kicked puppy, fidgeting with the hem of his cloth as he takes a seat opposite to him with sad eyes.

"Did you do something to make them angry?"

"Well that's the problem, I don't know what I did!", Diavolo whines out. "They haven't talked to me all day-", and he goes back to fidgeting nervously, now with the teaspoon on the table. "Do you think they hate me?"

"I'm sure they don't, and I would suggest talking with them as communication is very important", his eagerness to make Diavolo leave threatens to slip through the cracks of his composed smile.

"Oh yeah....i'm sure that will help!", Diavolo's eyes light up in shine as he excitedly gets up, "thank you, Barbatos!"

Barbatos huffs in annoyance as the dust on this lampshade just refuses to part with it. Its been a few hours after talking with Diavolo. And Barbatos begrudgingly went back to work when he realized his tea had went cold.

The ping! of his D.D.D interrupts his thoughts.

Turns out, they were just busy and couldn't find the time to talk to me!

Barbatos isn't sure if he can keep working and living under these conditions anymore.

thinking about how angels and demons treat their kids compared to humans, like-

was the demon kings neglect really extreme enough to be some form of abuse in actual demon society? Why is Luke expected to cook for Simeon and Solomon? Why is Luke treated so- weirdly??

For Diavolo, I think he was overselling his tragic childhood a bit- I'm your average Diavolo hater but I seriously do think he was just severely under socialized and if he was around other children and their parents he would realize that hey, my dad definitely has something against me but he's a pretty basic demon parent™️ (also he would resent his own species less frfr)

I say this because of the casual(?) way he treated that death trap his father called teaching in nightbringer, I like to imagine that he's actually grown since his comically lonely childhood and is able to rationalize it properly.

Anyways this post is actually mostly about Luke

so, I feel like Luke wouldn't understand what to do if you held your hand out to him, like I imagine angels don't really chaperone their youngest that directly,

(considering how much they put the little lad to work and how in nightbringer Luke took over the cooking entirely??? Like- immediately?)

so Luke wouldn't understand the very human desire to protect their stupid offspring in small ways,

human children are barely alive and will fully walk into the street if unsupervised, angel children will not.

If you were out in public with Luke and you're leaving a store and you do that silent stretching out your hand for them to take that parents do he would just stare at you like "why's your hand in my face 🤨" it would probably be real awkward

I’m pretty sure all the hype and love over Sun is just the leftover hole in our hearts from foxy not being our perfect good guy baby. We were all so devastated as kids that now that one of our robo “friends” is proven to simply not want to kill us, we make him our good guy baby and all grasp the concept by the ass and never let go

I feel like people forget that the type of person that would actually legitimately become a surgeon is the furthest type of person from a normal individual, I'm never surprised when I hear stories of them doing fucked up shit, a normal surgeon is as rare as a dog that meows

I could swear I remember a nightmare news story ages ago where a surgeon just got so frustrated that he threw a little temper tantrum in the middle of a procedure and deliberately obliterated a whole organ or bone or whatever he was working on before storming off. Does anyone remember this and what it was or what happened after that
