Prime Animations, the team behind the film, had just casted a racist and homophobic voice actor as Optimus in the film. This voice actor has a history of making violent threats against Emperor Kumquat and UltraPrimal (two popular trans Transformers YouTubers), has a history of wishing death on BIPOC folks, and has a history of making homophobic comments such as the same ol, “LGBTQ+ people are gr00mers” bullshit.

This person goes by the handle Orbital Bacon. He’s a legitimately awful person and instead of addressing the backlash by firing this person from the project, Prime Animations instead decides to keep him under the pathetic excuse of, “This channel is for Transformers, not identity politics!”

Since Prime Animations has decided to be Boo Boo The Clown Fool by platforming such a despicable piece of shit as a pop culture icon that many LGBTQ+ people look up to, including myself, what’s the point of supporting this project?

Please boycott Galvatron’s Revenge. Please support Transformers fans of color and Transformers LGBTQ+ fans who are content creators such as artists, voice actors, video essayists, and many more. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Okay, I can't sleep (again) so I'm rewatching the last two eps of Earthspark and... hmm. There was this one theory submitted on my Earthspark blog that seemed pretty interesting, and suddenly it makes a lot of sense.

Ehh, this got long... also, spoilers ahead for future episodes.

So, the Maltos have the Emberstone, and then it's teleported away and stolen by Skywarp. (she is so pretty-)

So now she's got the Emberstone, and she holds it as she negotiates with the Maltos.

And then, suddenly, it starts to glow in her hand, and there's a voice.

Evolution of Hope.

She's... super confused by this. And distracted.

So Thrash throws his wheel thing to knock the Emberstone out of Skywarp's hands, then Twitch flies up and grabs it and returns it to Mo.

But the Emberstone stops glowing pretty quickly after Skywarp isn't touching it anymore. It glows for a second after Twitch grabs it, but it stops before it's even passed on to Mo. It doesn't start glowing again until Robby and Mo ask Quintus Prime for help, and then it creates Nightshade, Hashtag, and Jawbreaker.

But wait. Three new Terrans? That's a little bit weird, considering how Twitch and Thrash were born specifically connected to the two young humans that were touching the Emberstone. And, well, maybe the numbers don't matter, or Quintus decided they needed extra help, but...

What if Skywarp touching the Emberstone made it create a new Terran connected to her? Specifically... Nightshade.

Nightshade's the only one to announce their own name rather than have Mo or Robby say it for them, and they seem to be the first born in the cave-- at least, they're the first one shown. They do have a connection to Robby and Mo, because of the pronouns scene, but there's a theory that they might also be linked to Skywarp.

The synopsis for episode 13 says that "they (Nightshade) find a new connection in the most unlikely of places". Just saying... *shrugs*

Hey so it's come to my attention that the Creators of Disco Elysium want you to share the game and not give the company who took over and fired them (illegally)?) any profits off of their ideas and work, and I originally joined tumblr 2 weeks ago when that post was going around about the Steam sale and how you should [Skull and Crossbones flag] it instead.

so you want to learn to code? ^w^ epic !! you can always take classes and whatnot, but you can also learn online >w<

if you’re interested in making a game, the first question is do you want to try and create it with a game maker, or with a programming language! game makers will be much easier for those who haven’t programmed, but doing it by yourself gives you much more control over every aspect of the game :}

if you’re looking at making a fairly typical game, or an rpg, or a text based game, and you don’t need many custom mechanics, it might be good to look into gamemakers ! but if you don’t have the money, or you’d like to step outside of the box, here’s where you can get started :D

big big huge biggest question :} what language would you like to learn! there are a ton of different languages, and they’re all useful for different things :D let me introduce you to a couple of common ones! (note: you can learn a language if you like, then move on to a game ide (which might help you understand the overall coding concepts more) or you can go straight to a game ide and learn whatever language it uses, which i think might be more difficult but if you’re only interested in making games, it should b fine!)

html+css+javascript: these are used in tandem for making responsive websites!

python: generally considered a good language for beginners, syntax is very different than java-like languages, tends to not be used for games but some like the sims 4 and doki doki literature club are made in it / use it!

java: the big guns… this can teach you the base for a lot of key programming concepts that are crucial in game making! i also find my knowledge of java to be very translatable to pretty much any coding problems i come across :D java was used to make minecraft, simcity, and more. although it’s certainly not the top choice for game devs, its very similar to the one that most people use ^_^

c++/c#: even though these are languages with different bases, i’m grouping them together because they’re both included in unity :3 these are the guys you want to get to know well if you’re learning games! the syntax is very very similar to java, and c++ is an object oriented language just like java ! the differences between the two come down to things like garbage collection and interpreters, which just means they’re going to feel the same to write in ^_^

I've seen a lot of people saying that an adult iteration of Transformers wouldn't work, because "oh look at Bayverse and the Netflix series" and like. Yeah they fucking SUCKED but that's not necessarily because they were more mature.

You can make a mature Transformers show without racist jokes and the word "balls" every 5 seconds and tons of death, that's not what makes something a mature story.

Ideally, the show would be able to walkthe line between funny and lighthearted and tragic. That's what the franchise has always been. You have all these fun characters and goofy dialogue and interactions and standalone episodes with weird premises, but underneath all that, there's this story about trauma and revenge and how much suffering war brings on. You get that even in G1 if you think about it for a moment. The Autobots and Decepticons have been stranded on Earth, in stasis, for millions of years and left everyone on Cybertron to fend for themselves, not knowing what happened to their leaders and loved ones. That's fucked up.

This is one of the few areas in which I think TFP succeeded. It managed to be both relatively funny and lighthearted but also show the horrors of War. And it didn't do either perfectly, there are a lot of issues with it, but it still managed to mix the two at least decently.

I feel like if you're gonna make a transformers show that's for adults, it should retain the humor and lighthearted nature and the weird B-plots about the human allies trying to sneak into a museum or the mecha learning about Christmas or whatever, because that's a big part of the franchise, and the mature themes should work with that, not be the first priority.

Episode 4

Starting off by once again highlighting how Alex is Filipino. I believe the captions are using the Indo-Portuguese way of spelling bebingkas.

Bibingkas are a baked Filipino rice cake that’s usually cooked in banana leaves with glutinous rice flour (a common type of flour used in Asian desserts). Coconut is also an ingredient in them, which might be hard to come by in the state of Pennsylvania, let alone an area like Witwicky. So Robby being excited over them may be because his dad doesn’t cook them often due to the rare (or super expensive) ingredients, an extremely common problem for POC trying to cook cultural foods. (In my case the nearby Asian market makes some bibingkas for patrons to buy. And yes I did drop $4 to get some for the sake of this post 🙈🙈🙈)

As soon as the final bell rung, Mr Smelt was out of his classroom door and heading as fast as he could across the parking lot towards a red Aston Martin. Or more accurately, the Aston Martin willed his holoform as fast as it could across the parking lot, for it wasn’t really a car at all.

It was a Cybertronian named Knockout, former Deception and disgraced cosmetic surgeon who was currently in hiding from anyone even vaguely Cybertronian. It had been fifteen years since Knockout had ran away and he had no interest in wasting away in some human sized cell without wax polish or access to a professional buffer. Nor did he want to become canon fodder for a failing war he’d never cared about in the first place.
