I love you, Minecraft. You have never failed me in my moments of need. Desperate for an escape but not wanting to be self-destructive? Minecraft. Haven't seen my friends in a while, but we can't hang out in person? Minecraft. Just need to clear my head for a while but still want to feel productive? Minecraft.

It's always there. The universe loves you because you are love. I love it right back.

Streaming idea. The first Saturday of every month I stream Portal 2 (Portal 1 or Co-op occasionally to spice it up bit). I play the whole game, beginning to end, all in one stream. I do NOT speedrun it. I play it like it's my first time experiencing it over and over again. Every month. I take the same amount of time to figure out a puzzle as I did last time. I launch myself into the nasty goo just like I did last month. Nothing changes.

You get the same rant about how much I love Doug Rattmann every month and at the end of every stream I devour a slice of black forest cake while the credits play.

Anyways, that's my pitch here's my Rattmann Playlist:

to the women of all colour...

to the people suffering with long term health...

to the people who didn't vote for him...i'm so unbelievably sorry your country let you down.

hope. hope is the most important thing here. it won't always be like this and better days will return.

You're so strong, and I will never shut up about how much I love this community. Stay together.

Don't kill yourself.

Stay alive out of spite. Don't let them kill you.

Stay alive out of defiance. Don't let them kill you.

Stay alive out of rebellion. Don't let them kill you.

We've endured Hell before. We've endured the orange Hell before. We've endured fascism before.

We will continue to endure.

Please, do not kill yourself.

Out live his rule.

Out live him.

Protest.

Rebel.

Stay alive.

Please. Don't let them kill you.

To any and all trans people in the states, and especially trans kids, know it's going to be okay. We have endured in the past, and we will endure again. The biggest mistake they made was letting us know what it is to have freedom of expression, and now we know. We know what we're fighting for and what they're trying to take away from not just us but the generations of queer kids to come.

To any of the minors that may see this and who are terrified for their future, we care. We see you, and we love you, and we're going to keep fighting because you deserve every happy dream of a good life you have ever had.

The biggest thing I think anyone can ask of any trans or lgbtq+ person right now is just to stay with us. We're going to need your voice when we all start yelling. We need to make it fucking loud.

This this and only ever this

“You don’t like winter! You like Christmas!” Look at me. Look me in the tumblr. I love temperatures so cold that they reach into your spine and play your muscles like ukulele strings. I love snow drifts you have to wade through, snow slinking into your boots and turning your feet into wet, senseless lumps. I love taking a first breath in the morning and feeling every hair in my nose glitter with frost. I love slush and snow and short days and gloriously long nights. I love the awful muffling of the world under the blanket of snow. I love the quiet death of winter.

You think I’m in this for Christmas? I’m in this for the cold, for the dark, for tap dancing on the edge of survival. Winter wants to kill me so bad and I love it like a falling man loves the ground, like a Molotov cocktail loves a flame: wholly, consumptively, with everything I have to give. When the stars go out and all we have is that lush, endless winter, I will go out waltzing in winter’s arms.

And if you don’t like winter, fine, I respect that, but don’t put your words in my mouth. “You don’t like winter you just like Christmas,” the gall. The unmitigated gall.

Very complex emotions tied to any kind of fruit turnover. Every time I look at them, I smell pine. I see my hands stained by blackberries. They have claws at the ends of them, and they're covered in dirt. It's cold, I can see my own breath. It isn't like my shifts, though, it isnt just me. I feel like I am not myself and at the same time all the same. It's as if I'm handing my body over to someone else for a moment, still aware it isn't me controlling it, still present, and at the same time, someone else completely.

This is probably some kinda derealization thing, but it only ever happens when it starts to get cold or I see those freaking desserts. It isn't really a pleasant feeling when it happens, but it's still something I weirdly miss. Like I'm inviting someone in, letting them have a break from wherever they came from, even for a moment. Weirdest part? I know who it is. I've known him for a couple of years now, and it always felt like he's a part of me after that.

I don't always actively think about him, I never talk to him unless I'm just really freakin lonely, and it isn't like an actual conversation. It's more like I'm just voicing my thoughts out loud, and he's quietly listening.

I don't really know what's up with that. I could call him an imaginary friend if imaginary friends occasionally took over your brain for a moment and made you incredibly uncomfortable with everything happening. Or maybe I am just simply overthinking, and he isn't real at all. Advice would be nice if anyone can offer it.

I've been obsessed with Long Dark for years very excited to look into this.

Oh yeah the Long Dark and Lord Huron goes so well together. Hand in hand.

Like Mackenzie's whole journey is looking for his ex wife after they're stranded in the wilderness, he has far too many brushes with death and gets caught up with a bunch of convicts, making very dangerous enemies while helping whoever he can. Also he killed a bulletproof bear with a fucking spear. That's some Lord Huron shit if I've ever seen it.

And just the General Vibes of the both of them. The Long Dark handles a lot of the same topics. It's hard to describe.

Also "there was no one in sight, just the endless frozen pines" and "when you follow the strange trails it'll take you to who knows where" match the Long Dark way too well [most likely many more I'm just listening to Frozen Pines and Way Out There while typing this]

Hey! Heeeeyyy! The 2000s called >:D

I answered. It felt nice to hear the memories of my childhood echoing through the receiver. I heard the ocean, back when the 30 minutes it took to drive to the beach felt like an eternity. You were there too, mumbling something over the waves and the cars engine.

I enjoyed this month. I lived by the rule of: my camera roll is just a bunch of work schedules and spreadsheets. How do I fix this?

Then I planned a bunch of fun shit to go do with friends. Now, my camera roll is full of smiling faces, pumpkins, and art.

Look at your camera roll and see what you can do or plan to make it more colorful and joyous to reflect upon.

Thinking about the lore of angels in Para Sanar. What do you mean a God can ascend someone they feel is close to them and make it to where they are to spend the rest of eternity working for and worshiping this deity? Like, even after the angel dies. They're always reborn and remember their job after either meeting their god again or meeting another angel.

It's very sweet when you look at it through the family lens. Angels are some of the closest things the Gods have to family. This one person is destined to stay by your side, forever, no matter what. You're literally bound together as the God gives a part of themself away.

But then there's also the sad way of looking at it. Sometimes angels don't realize what they are being given or that they even have been made an angel. It's a huge rule for Gods that they have to make sure 100% that the person they're ascending understands and wants to become an angel. Otherwise, you've just trapped someone in an endless cycle of following after you until either the world ends or the God dies. Even then, if a God dies, it's like a part of the angel did, too. Being away from their God prompts intense waves of grief and longing. It never ends. That has to be exhausting.

Anyways. I love me and my friends funky minecraft lore, have a nice day.
