Sometimes you think “even I have lines that I won’t cross” and then sometimes you read an Avatar x HP crossover fic
I had a dream I was in a tiktok and the guy showed me a picture of Yondu from Marvel and said for 100$ name this character! And I immediately said oh that’s Yondu from Marvel and he was baffled. He was like wow that was fast, everyone else was stumped, how did u know? And then I was quiet for a moment and then I said I read a fanfic where he was Harry Potter’s pseudo-dad.
Bro yes, like Miles and Jeff both try so hard to communicate to each other and get the other to listen. They deserve to be happy together and realize that they love each other and would do anything for each other. Like the part with the message on the cake was so Miles trying to communicate with his dad.
Also he was def a daddies boy, Jeff took him to cruise in his police car, and gave him little hot wheels of different police cars growing up.
I need more fics where Miles tells his parents that he’s Spider-Man. And everything turns out okay, and no one dies. (Or at least his dad doesn’t die) Miles and his mom had a good relationship and he was so close to telling her, and I think it would have changed everything if he told her.
They’re a family that love each other and he would’ve told them if Gwen said it would be better if he didn’t.
Not really a short story but we read Between the World and Me which I still think about a lot
We need to be more focused on fucked up short stories as a society. We've all read the yellow wallpaper, the lottery, lamb to the slaughter in middle school but then we never talk about fucked up short stories outside of "haha remember when Ms Johnson made us read that story about the lady killing her husband with a leg of lamb then feeding the murder weapon to the police?"
That ends today!! Appreciation for fucked up short stories time!! Comment your favourite weird story your English teacher made you read that still sticks with you to this day PLEASE I need to read more fucked up short stories
I'll start- the veldt by ray Bradbury, rappachini's garden by nathaniel hawthorne, and this one is a little bit of a cheat because it's a graphic novel but The Nesting Place by Emily Carroll still haunts me (every story in her through the woods collection really, but nesting place especially)
10 things I hate about you fanfic idea:
Patrick and Kat are dating in secret before the movie is set, so when Joey pays him to date her he just goes to her and is like “guess who got us a sugar daddy” 😏😌 they just pretend to start dating and just go along with everything cos they’re both drama queens.
A lot of media I think is about hacking and the lesson that you shouldn’t type or record anything that you wouldn’t want the whole world to see.
Like when they hack a personal internet diary, and everyone sees all the mean things that person said. And then they say “well you shouldn’t have even recorded it!” I think that’s dumb, I write a bunch of shit I wouldn’t say to anyone because it’s all rude and stupid, but I write it down because I thought it. It’s my own thought and I feel like I shouldn’t have to worry about someone seeing them and judging me for my own personal thoughts.
There’s not enough fics with Daphne’s and Simon as the main couple. Like I don’t care about Anthony and Kate, I want to read about Daphne and Simon!!!!!
If I start reading a fic and I really don’t like it, I’ll mark it for later so if I ever come back to it, I’ll know that I didn’t like it.
