@tapioca-puddin made the cover of the playlist. I miss doing stuff with my oc, so I decided to make a playlist for her and the Debmund ship. From "Dream Away" to "Dreamy Night" is songs just about Debora while the rest is about the Debmund relationship from both povs (though mostly from Debora). From "Ok" to "I Like U" is Debora trying out a different relationship but it not working out fast (though Ok is from Edmund's pov). XD I tried to put it in the most accurate story order possible, but it might change slightly over time. I also might add more songs too. Here are songs I like for the playlist as well but weren't on Spotify.

Mother Author Laser Pointer Spoilers:

So Tina mentions that it's 4 years till she graduates and she's of college age. So this reveal means one of two things. Tina is officially 14 (unlikely) or Tina's bday doesn't fall on a month before May (more likely). So in short, My birthday headcanon of Tina being a March 7th Pisces is dead. XD I now have a good enough reason to change my headcanon for Tina's birthday to September 25th. She's now a Virgo-Libra cusp sign. Quite fitting and amusing at the same time for her to be the cusp of beauty X3. Also, it's Dan Mintz's birthday, which is another reason for the change.

Zekina Week 2023: Day 6 Beach

I have been waiting two days to post this! This is my favorite of the bunch and hope to color it one of these days. I've been waiting for more Zeke playing a guitar content but fanfics usually have him as a drummer. So I decided to be the change I wanted to see in the world. XD

I'll leave it to your interpretation of what Zeke is singing to Tina. I definitely have some ideas for what the song could be, but I'm personally having trouble choosing myself. Anyway, I know I'm late with the other two prompts. I'm going to do my best to finish the rest though so I can complete the set. I really wanted to do the prompts I missed as drabbles so I can practice my writing.

Why Zekina and not Zina?

Glad you asked, phantom person that I use as a stand-in!

Zināʾ (زِنَاء) or zinah (زِنًى or زِنًا) is an Islamic legal term referring to unlawful sexual intercourse. (Wikipedia)

I think it would be disrespectful towards islamic peoples believes to use it as a ship name as well as considering the meaning “unlawful sex” of all kinds… I don’t think it would be a good ship name.

Meanwhile Zekina is only a name and surname in a couple of countries, so basically free for grabs! Let’s go with that!

Honestly, it really depends. Of course, as an artist, I understand people have lives outside their art and the internet. Not to mention others' commissions to worry about while doing mine. On the other hand, if I paid them before they finished, I would be nervous if they took weeks/months to even get started. The people I commissioned usually were super fast and finished sooner than expected so I haven't had a long waiting experience yet. I think I only ever waited super long or never got a certain thing when I asked for requests or made suggestions. That's definitely when I'm more lenient with wait time because I'm not even paying them. Yeah, it's sucks to see an old request fade into obscurity but at least I didn't lose money over it.

The key to a long waiting period between an artist/customer relationship is communication. I'm more likely to wait longer without too much badgering if the artist is transparent about the likely waiting period. They don't owe you their life story, but it's nice to have an estimate so you don't spend all your time wondering. I think showing the progress with a watermark ( a pattern of watermarks if you want to be safe XD) during the waiting period could help to ease the customer's mind too. It might even help the customer catch something that can be changed easily in the early stage. I think I probably would pick a week but I honestly would be willing to wait longer if the artist gives a rough estimate on likely when things will be done. They don't need to explain why but it would make me feel good the artist isn't leaving me in the dark. Though the artists I commissioned I don't remember ever making me wait longer than a week (unless I count plushie commissions which are a completely different beast to digital art). TLDR Customers be patient with artists because they are only human. Artists and customers, respectfully communicate with each other during the process so no one is anxious or feeling duped for one reason or another.

Anyway, I've been wanting to do this for a while because I love Greek mythology, Tina loves horses, immediately wanted to do Tina as a centaur. I thought it would be funny to have one of older Tina's published stories be centaur people and a minotaur. I was hesitant to do it for a while though because drawing horse and cow anatomy is intimidating as all get out. Any other option would be expensive though so I eventually put on my big girl pants and did this. I think this piece made me develop carpal tunnel but it was worth it. Serves me right for not remembering to use my whole arm when drawing anyway. XD Originally the idea had Tina as the alicorn centaur and Jimmy Jr. as the sea centaur because Tina would want to be the alpha horse person while it was easy to pun JJ's name as a sea centaur (Swimmy Jr. XD). I switched it when I realized that Tina also had a love for marine life and her being a sea centaur became more fitting. So now onto the name of the characters for this fake story Zeke - Iezekial the minotaur Tina - Princess Tritina the ichthyocentaur

Jimmy Jr. - Prince Iakobos II the Sky Kisser the alicorn centaur Anyway, this is a fake cover I wanted to do because I thought it would be funny to do a trashy romance novel parody. I'm not intending to make a story based on the cover ever. I already have other story ideas that are slowly dying so I don't need to add another one. Crab-Solutely Fabulous Thoughts and Spoilers

You mean to tell me that tonight's episode was a wrestling one and Zeke wasn't in it?! Shaking my freaking head!

How could you betray this sweet little gremlin boy like that! You know he would have loved being in this episode. We were robbed! That being said this was still fun even if they missed the perfect opportunity of including Zeke. You just know Tina was so annoyed, in a conflicting sort of way when Louise came to her room to show Tina the research she's been doing. Girl, Tina's been hyper-fixated on marine life way before you have. So you bet your bunny ears she already knows all the sea cucumber facts. Heck, she's probably shared her hyper-fixation with you plenty of times and you just now decide to be interested while she's trying to sleep, in front of her horse posters! XD

This is for a future piece I plan to do. I really wanted her to have a cool pen name because I can see her having one because she loves making alter egos for herself. I wanted to make one that looked interesting and creative, but not too creative that it doesn't look like a name Tina would come up with. So I decided on punny names that affiliate with stories in general. It fits Tina's brand of alter egos such as Dina, Dino, Quirky Turkey, and Mathy Kathy I'm probably the least partial to the Jericho one because I want to use a name that Tina hasn't already used. Who knows, maybe the poll will change my mind though. I look forward to seeing the most popular choice. I look forward to the results

For transparency's sake, I'm the anon. Thank you so much! I didn't expect you to do so many. I was basically expecting just Tohru, Kyo, Yuki, Shigure, and Akito if you chose to do it period. You went way above my expectations good job! This is all so awesome and the artifact choices are hilarious. (at least most of them anyway while some make me sad like Kisa's and Momji's) Part of me thinks Tom and Jerry or The Princess Bride (for the ROUS) would have been a good choice for Yuki's artifact as well but Ratatouille is just as good of a choice. While all of the chosen negations are fitting I do have one suggestion for Hatori. Since remember is already an artifact in the UU universe, I have a different suggestion. Since Hatori's partially blind I feel his negation should be unseen. You know the saying, "What is seen can't be unseen"?

Unseen negates people's ability to see things (or in Sean's case originally, just himself). Hatori's interpretation of the negation is him taking away people's ability to see the memories they choose to forget. Therefore, making it an external negation instead of a self-targeting one like Sean's was. After all his power is more like hypnotism, the memories are still there, they just can't see them anymore. This is why characters that chose to forget can't associate with the forgotten much anymore because there's still a chance for unseen to wear off based on people's opinions of the forgotten and their mind subconsciously choosing to see the memories again. Unremember it's still good, I just think unseen fits well with Hatori's partial blindness. Irony and all the jazz.

I’ve said a few times in the past that Undead Unluck was basically if Fruits Basket was a action shonen instead of a slice of life shoujo. Whether if that comparison still holds weight or not, do you think you could give some of the Fruits Basket cast some negation abilities if it’s possible please?

Only a small portion of characters actually have something that resembles a power aside from the transformation abilities, so where there isn't a power, I'm going to take inspiration from their personalities, actions or character arcs

Tohru, Unaffected- negates the effects of other Negator abilities that target her

Kyo, Unhuman- negates his own humanity, turning him into a monster; because of his own interpretation of the monster as his true self, he is able to seal it away with his prayer beads, believing them to work as a sort of glamour; though he won't turn into his monster form with the seal, he can still turn into a cat when not in control of his emotions

Yuki, Unaffiliated - negates emotional connections with others; while others may want to form a connection with him, the act of trying to do so will be met with a feeling of emotional distance, as if there is some kind of mental wall preventing the connection from being made; turns into a rat with Artifact Ratatouille

Hatsuharu, Unrestrained - negates his own self-restraint, causing him to act without inhibition; because of his interpretation, this manifests as a split personality rather than a constant state of wonton violence and debauchery; turns into a cow with Artifact Raging Bull [Note: I considered Cowboy Bebop]

Kisa, Untell - negates her ability to communicate with others, resulting in her inability to speak; turns into a tiger with Artifact Life of Pi

Momiji, Unfamiliar- negates Momiji's "family;" the closer a family member is to Momiji, the more distant they will feel, manifesting in his own parents being completely unaware of his existence; the Sohma family is widespread enough that Momiji identifies them more as his community than his family, allowing them to be aware of him; turns into a rabbit with Artifact Watership Down

Hatori, Unremember - negates a target's memories; turns into a sea dragon with Artifact How to Train Your Dragon

Ayame, Unashamed - negates any sense of shame within Ayame, allowing him to act in any way that he pleases without guilt or fear of repercussions; similar to Hatsuharu's Unrestrained, but where Unrestrained forces one to act on impulse and without thought, Unashamed allows one to commit to their actions with absolute conviction; turns into a snake with Artifact Snake Eyes

Rin, Untrusting - negates her ability to trust others; this manifests as immediate disbelief in what others say or claim they will do; can be viewed as an internal-targeting version of Yuki's Unafilliated; turns into a horse with Artifact Secretariat

Hiro, Unkind - negates his own ability to be kind, causing him to be rude or mean to people; because of his youth and lack of understanding of what it means to be truly unkind, Hiro manages not to act explicitly cruel, though maturity runs the risk of corrupting his personality through his interpretation; turns into a sheep with Artifact Shaun the Sheep

Ritsu, Uncalm - negates feelings of calm in Ritsu, causing him to feel constant anxiety, fear and panic; turns into a monkey with Artifact Planet of the Apes

Kureno, Unbound - negates Kureno's bonds; because of his circumstances, this refers specifically to his loyalty to Akito, making him capable of disobeying Akito; turns into a bird with Artifact Chicken Run

Shigure, Undoubt - negates feelings of doubt towards Shigure in others, making them easier to manipulate; Rin's Untrusting makes her immune to this ability; turns into a dog with Artifact Shaggy Dog

Kagura, Unmatched - negates her ability to be matched in combat by increasing her physical strength beyond normal levels; turns into a boar with Artifact Pig in the Big City

Akito, Unquestion - negates any feelings of defiance or disloyalty that a target may have toward Akito under the condition that they are viewed as beneath Akito; in this case, as Akito is the head of the Sohma Family, this applies to all members of the Sohma Family

Hana, Unhidden - negates the ability of others to hide things from Hana, which by her interpretation manifests as the ability to read the waves emanating from a target

Just Another Cute Zekina Headcanon:

So I've been trying to mark off all the episodes that Zeke sits to the left of Tina in class ever since I really started noticing it in season 13. First I'll list what I found so far and then I'll get into the headcanon surrounding it. Disclaimer, I'm only human and I'm not aware of all the episodes that show Zeke and Tina in class together. I'm just only going by the BB wiki that lists the times Zeke appeared in a season and my own memory of whether the episode contained a classroom scene or not. In short, this post might get edited as time goes on if I find new frames by accident I can add.

So now onto screenshots. I'm not going to bother with chronological order because I don't want to. The most interesting one I found so far is "Pig Trouble in Little Tina". Before Tina enters into her nightmare we see Zeke to her left. After she wakes up from her nightmare, Zeke is gone.

What the heck is that all about? Why insert Zeke in only to make him disappear? My side headcanon is that Zeke went to the bathroom (or skipped class, either is possible) while Tina was sleeping because if Zeke was there he would have been the only one to ask if she was alright. They needed the scene to move along asap so they had to get rid of him because of it. XD

The next one isn't in Miss Jacobson's class but still shows the Zeke being to Tina's left pattern.

In "Bob and Deliver" their placement is obvious because it is to show that Tina will see Zeke as a rival in the episode. Also, it's simply easier for the audience to follow along with the conversation if they are next to each other. Next is "The Hormone-iums". The placement of Jimmy Jr., Tina, and Zeke is also for plot reasons. For some reason, Zeke isn't in the last one of the row like he usually is while Jimmy Jr. isn't in front of Zeke. The boys needed to be in those places though to show Tina's nervousness when she watches Tammy slanders her.

Still, even if the chair arrangements have changed, Zeke is still to Tina's left. Now for "Crystal Mess". While the placements of the characters are for plot relevance, it's also the closest to sticking with the current sitting arrangements of the characters. The outlier is Tammy since Jocelyn is more often than not in front of Tina from the other frames I found.

Now that I got all the scenes out of the way (as far as I know because there are a lot of episodes with Zeke in them), I can get to the point of this post. Since to Tina's left is the window, I headcanon that Tina daydreams and looks out of that window a lot. Even if Miss Jacobson is the one that assigns the seats for the students and it's not up to the students, I headcanon that Zeke specifically wants to be to Tina's left over her right because of the window. Anytime Zeke glances over at Tina for a second while she's daydreaming directly at the window, he likes to pretend for a moment that Tina is looking at him. He knows the window is getting all of Tina's attention, but it's still a nice thought that keeps him going for the rest of the time in Miss Jacobson's class. That's it for the headcanon. It's not much, but it's cute and I like it. X3

Guys, I Think Zeke Has a Type:

Zeke really likes the ones that wear mainly blue with a yellow (or analogous to yellow) hair accessory, doesn't he? XD The ones after Tina are from "Pig Trouble in Little Tina" and "Can't Buy Me Math". The middle one is a bit harder to prove since I only have the context clues of Tammy and Jocelyn immediately kissing the boys next to them to go by. There's no proof of anything happening between Zeke and the girl (which I dub Nessa until I find out her real name). Good for Zeke though if he landed a legit date in that episode. It's sweet given that he mostly goes stag at the school events. The last one was obviously never going to get anywhere (as it should because it's wrong for obvious reasons). I still felt I should include because it helps with my "blue clothes and yellow/analogous to yellow hair accessory" pattern that Zeke seems to have. In episode, it was a hilarious bait-and-switch when for a second the episode made you think Zeke was going to make his move on Jocelyn when in reality he wanted her to get out of his way. XD So yeah, that's all I have so far. I just found it amusing when I noticed it and I wanted to share it. The observation between Zeke and Nessa is still shakey because she could just be chilling stag next to Zeke that is also going stag on the hay ride. I just feel given the context clues in the episode, I think the assumption they were trying to get us to make was that everyone was kissing except for Tina and JJ until Tina asked to join along.

I decided to change my qilin-crusader username to my Instagram username. It was rare for people to pronounce the first part of it correctly so I ended up hating the name. Not much of an update, but having an easy-to-pronounce name is just nice.

Cute story that I think really captures the humor of the show well!

Here you go @unclefathersantateddy! It was easy for the most part. The hardest part was trying to compress it under 10mb for this site. I edited it in media encoder and shrunk the target bitrate when it was mp4. file. I had to use a specific site to make the MB even smaller as a gif because media encoder doesn't have the option to decrease the target bitrate when you want to make it into a gif file. Specifically, chapter 10 where the main character tries to remake the recipe of a dead person. The added difficulty for Zeke and the Belcher kids though is that the only people alive that know of the taste haven't had the dish for decades. No one can trust Gayle, Gloria is in Florida, Linda can't know because it's a mother's day surprise, and Lorraine is only semi-trustworthy. Taste buds change as you get older and what you assumed you remembered about a dish may not be the same as it used to be. So there's a lot that's stacked against them. That's not going to stop the kids from trying to get someone who has had the recipe and make them taste-test it until they get it right. I like to think as Zeke gets older, his knowledge of spices, seasonings, and even textures only gets better over time. So he's able to guess pretty well what a recipe needs based on a description. Though, that's a challenge all on its own because some of the descriptions are vague because again, they haven't had the dish in decades. The reason why they even decided to do this for mother's day in the first place is that it was originally Louise's idea. This mother's day Louise has become hyper-aware of how great her mom is and realizes she's the age Bob was when his mother died (which depending on if he's 44 or 46, it can range from 11 to 14. However, I choose 12 though because it feels right). So she decides to try again with the sauce since they have "Mr. Perfect Palette" Zeke here. Though they almost don't get him on board because Tina felt guilty asking for help on their mother's day thing when he has 3 mother figures (his bio mom, stepmom, and grandma if that wasn't obvious already) in his life he has to think about for mother's day. Zeke is literally their only hope of gettting anywhere close to correct on the sauce recipe in Louise's mind, so he still gets on board somehow.

I want this sort of "Sauce Side Story" sequel to exist so bad! Getting this awesome piece is a good alternative though. Thank you again!

I Just Threw All Logic Out of the Window for This Headcanon!

I can't believe it. I just figured out Zeke's likely stepmom and now I'm throwing it all away for a headcanon that's definitely never going to be canon simply because it's more fun. XD Okay, you know how Zeke loves giving people nicknames. Well, what if Cheryl is a nickname and not her official name? I also found out that the owner of the flower shop next to Jimmy Pesto's restaurant is named Charlotte. Cheryl can easily be a nickname for Charlotte. So because I want to capitalize on this character's name, regardless of how logical it is. Charlotte is Cheryl and blue blouse lady is Zeke's bio mom, redesigned from the Belchies one.

Charlotte being Zeke's stepmom could add more reasons as to why he was passionate about the bees dying in "UFO No You Didn't" aside from the fact his grandma told the state of the bees.

It also has the potential to play into his view of weeds in "Bob Actually" when he pitched weeds are the right plant growing in the wrong place. Also, if she's the kind of person that can name her business "The Petalphile" I can see her as the person that has no issue marrying somebody decades older than her. lol There's still the issue most likely never seeing Charlotte around with a baby (as far as I know) since it's established that Cheryl recently gave birth to a baby in season 2. Charlotte is still very much a blank slate though and as long as she doesn't have any concrete bg details that can kill this headcanon, I can easily explain it away. We even had a chance to see Charlotte's house in "The Bleakening" but never did because they skipped over her after we saw Marshmellow. It also could add lore to how Zeke and JJ became friends. While Zeke's dad is busy flirting with Charlotte at the flower shop, Zeke could go over next door to Pesto's and hangs out with Jimmy Jr and thus becomes friends in and outside school.

Anyway, despite all the potential for this idea, I'm still aware it's very unlikely and prepared to eventually see it become impossible in canon. I love flowers and I just think the idea of Zeke having a florist stepmom that's next door to his best friend's dad's business could be a fun idea.

Anyway, until my train of thought crashes and explodes upon the wall of canon, this is the route I'm taking.
