Bakugou stans who hate Endeavor and Endeavor stans who hate Bakugou make me laugh.
Because when you get down to it, they both benefit from the same things: in-universe privilege, narrative advantages, and plot manipulation. Their arcs enable each other in a way, they're both abusers being given more exposure and grace than their victims. They're both constantly being propped and accepted by the other characters despite being horrible people.
Criticizing one and not the other is obtuse. They're cut from the same exact cloth, the issues with their characters are nearly identical. And the focus of both their characters contribute to the overarching problem of MHA; not only pandering to abusers but pandering to those born privileged and who knowingly abused that privilege. And neither had to face actual repercussions without being protected by the author.
The only difference between them is in the literal sense; Endeavor is a worse person morally while Bakugou is a worse character narratively.
They both still suck ass
Even Shinsou thought that Mineta should've been expelled. FREAKING SHINSOU!!!
Hi @anartisicandautisticstararcher š
Yeah at this point I don't know why mineta wasn't expelled from UA.
I still don't understand how teachers and people saw mineta's behaviour and simply said nothing. They just let it happen.
Like remember what he did to the girls in the Sports Festival by getting them to wear cheerleaders uniforms or what he done to momo in particular by literally attaching himself to her.
THIS IS ON LIVE TELEVISION!!?!?!?!
Aren't momos parents influential and rich why didn't they do something about this?
Heck, this isn't even something that he does once. NO, he does it multiple times.
Heck, mineta's pervy and inappropriate behaviour happen so often that there are literal YouTube video compilations of them reaching more than 5 minutes. For a side character who doesn't get much screentime for all of it to be centred around you, being a pathetic sexual harraser is absurd to me.
Also, let's not forget that this is the character that hori claims to be his self insert because he also describes himself to be a bit of a perv.
Bruh, I havenāt used this account in forever š. Tbf, Iāve been way too focused on other things that I havenāt even thought about MHA since itās ended.
Anyways, reason Iām making this post is to highlight that people on Twitter are waking up to the fact that Katsukiās poorly written, so it looks like the honeymoon phase of MHA is coming to an end. Obviously heās still got his stans, but the fact people are feeling more comfortable with pointing out his flaws is a victory in it of itself. Probably also helps that most of them have grown up. Also, keep in mind that the account I usually browse Twitter casually with hasnāt interacted with any MHA posts, so itās not like Iām being recommended these posts due to prior engagements. These were found completely in the wild. I thought sharing this might cheer some of you up. With the crazy world we live in, sometimes the small and petty victories are worth celebrating š.
In other news, I thought Iād let you all know that I do plan on eventually writing one big, final review on Katsuki and MHA in general, but thatās something thatāll happen in the future when I get the time to do so. Same goes for answering all the asks that have built up and will continue to build up over my absence (sorry for that).
Hope yāall stay safe and healthy until then šš
If you were to ask me how would I describe Bakugoās development in short words, it would come across as being boring and predictable. Letās start with the fact that despite being a secondary character, Bakugo has no real purpose/contribution in the main story line. His involvement with Deku and OFA doesnāt amount to anything other than mindless yelling, guilt tripping, and just him treating it as a competition to try and surpass Deku when he unlocks his other quirks. The only reason heās involved in a lot of whatās going on is because of his popularity. He started gaining popularity when he won the Sports festival and because everyone like the stereotypical angry rival trope. He can be replaced by literally any other character and nothing would change.
Itās basically a pattern whenever Bakugo is involved with something.
- Bakugo will treat others beneath him and continue to call the extras.
- Whatever is going in the story if itās a fight between the villains or something school related, heāll treat it as a competition.
- Heāll either verbally attack Deku and everyone around them or get physical to get what he wants.
- Deku wonāt see this as an issue and continue to gush over Bakugo about how heās a good friend and the idea of him being the symbol of victory
-Anyone that calls out his horrible behavior will do a complete 180 and talk about how whatever he said either makes sense or to give some baseless excuse about how he changed
- Aizawa, All Might and or anyone in UA will make some claim about how his some kind of an inspiration for 1A and Bakugo is trying harder than everyone else(completely ignoring all of 1Aās accomplishments and improvements throughout their first year)
- After winning or coming out on top whatever Bakugo will take his win for granted and will act like it doesnāt mean anything while acting aggressive when someone compliments him
- What ever punishment or consequences he gets(not matter how fatal is) will be minor and the story will find to way to have him come out at top without any struggle
- The story will have characters feel bad, guilty for Bakugo for something so minuscule and or try to punish them in a similar manner like Bakugo (A recent example of the story punishing characters because of Bakugoās actions is in the Card OVA. I didnāt bother watching it because I knew it was just a product plug for training cards but from what I viewed from other peopleās discussions, the match between Deku and Bakugo ends with a tie. Apparently Bakugo threw another hissy fit and not only destroyed the card game but blew up the dorm with everyone inside. Instead of punishing Bakugo for destroying public property and potentially injuring his classmates, Aizawa decides to punish all of Class 1A and ban them from playing any other games in the dorm.)
I know everyone has their own interpretation on how they feel about Bakugo and thatās perfectly fine. I donāt have problem if you like him, but Bakugo is written as if everything he did or stood for never mattered. Izuku, Class 1A , UA and by extension Horikoshi, wants the audience to believe that all the positive aspects about his character somehow outweigh the negatives and weāre supposed to accept that Bakugo has fully grown while at the same time instantly forgiving him for being a spiteful and petty bully. No matter what happens to him, heāll still come out on top as if what he went through wasnāt consequential or lethal. Heās constantly giving wins and random asspulls to favor him despite either doing the bare minimum of his supposed development or not doing anything at all. Bakugo in the eyes of others will always be seen as the true MVP and is the one that always has to win. Heās nothing but a pet under the care of his creator who will go out of his way to make every other character look bad and pathetic than they already are; including the main protagonist.
For being the main antagonist of this series, there is a reason why people naturally gravitate more towards his Upper Moons, and that is the execution of his characterization. Iām sure many of you have come across posts explaining the references to natural disasters and his philosophy and also his constant claims to godhood, which are aspects that I do think Gotouge intended to share, but itās not particularly delved into.
I have had complaints before that it was really difficult to relate to Muzanās character in any way. Now, I realize that was the point Gotouge was intending to make, however this realization didnāt quite satisfy me like it should have. Heās arrogant, stubborn, and sometimes flat out childish, but at no point do we see any strengths. Itās not clear if he has a genuine passion for science. Or for learning in general. He doesnāt have a single likeable trait to contrast his faults, other than heās charismatic, but we do not see that part of him nearly as much as we should.
His motivations for becoming the perfect Demon donāt have any plans afterwards, either. Like, what was he going to do after he accomplished his goal? We donāt know. And the fact that we really donāt know, when it should have been stated at some point, is not great, since again, this is our main antagonist. In a shounen.
I donāt know, I donāt doubt Gotouge had big ideas for Muzan, but it feels like they really bit off more than they could chew, and the genre that Muzan is placed in being action-focused didnāt do him any favors. I am a firm believer of the idea that he would have fared much better in some Edwardian era science horror where his philosophy and unique outlook on life would have been expected to be properly explored. But, yeahā¦

Mob Psycho 100 represents such a refreshing, powerful portrayal of platonic love, but the fandom seems to be dominated by romantic headcanons.Ā It makes me kind of sad.Ā I feel like shipping the characters romantically negates some of what makes MP100 so meaningful.
āWorship me but donāt WORSHIP meā is an insane line to say to your brother who jerked you off and is now explaining himself, and who youāve been unconsciously (?) grooming since the moment you set foot in Thailand.
Saxon Ratliff youāre not sane in the headā¦.
Like I knew Lochlan was batshit insane, and I know theyāre both deep in denial (especially Saxon), but this reaction is not the reaction a normal 26 year old adult would have after something like that happened with a younger sibling. The sexual component of the relationship only appeared in episode 5, but it was the āinnocentā kind of worship that got them in trouble in the first place. Thatās why youāre both here dude, because you blurred all the boundaries between the two of you. And thatās his response??
I swear to god that whole scene had me cracking up. Between Lochlan calling him a narcissist (deserved), and Saxon just trying to bury all of it so blame doesnāt have to be assignedā¦
